Hello

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
memorylapse · 06/10/2009 21:25

Den and Headinawhirl- if the clot remains past 12 weeks and Im still preg..then DH will definitely not be getting any
Headinawhirl- try not to worry I had a stinking cold and sinus infection when I was 9 weeks preg with dd2 but she was fine

sweetkitty · 06/10/2009 22:13

Same here I don't think I have had sex since I got my BFP, first 12 weeks am so dog rough and it's hard to think about getting all fruity when you just feel sick all the time, then the SPD kicks in, DP says there is no way he would even suggest it when he hears my hips cracking and the state I get in just getting up.

He knows what it's like though, he's the one that wanted four

memorylapse · 06/10/2009 22:36

I know what you mean Sweetkitty..I dont exactly feel fruity at the mo..and god knows how DH can fancy me after Ive been throwing my guts up..

TomlinTowers · 06/10/2009 22:56

So sorry to hear the news about your scan memorylapse - I think the midwives/sonographers have to tell you the worst case scenario just to cover themselves for all possibilities. If you haven't had any more bleeding and bean seems happy, then that all seems positive to me. I have everything crossed for you.

No action here either - I am usually in bed early and sound asleep by the time DH comes to bed, and there is NO WAY I am waking up until 6.30am come hell or high water!

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 07/10/2009 08:13

No action for DH here either. He's surprisingly keen given how rough I look.

It's nearly impossible for me to regain consciousness in the mornings atm And then I feel sick as soon as I do . It's a joyous time isn't it!

tiggsy · 07/10/2009 09:20

morning all! nausea much worse this morning but oddly enough dd's nesquik cereal helped. dp not getting any here either, think we shouldn't let them on here to have there own thread...just asking for trouble lol!
Am feeling very guilty today, dd has started coming into our bed at about 1am so i'm not getting any sleep and finding myself snapping at her, which is most unlike me. Granny is coming to play today so might sneak off upstairs for a nap....

sweetkitty · 07/10/2009 09:42

Just sipping some orange juice trying to get some vitamins into me whilst summoning up some energy to do some housework.

The afternoons are the worst for me, I have always been one for having a dip after lunch and getting all sleepy, I reckon as I had mediterranean blood it must be as I need a siesta I always feel so groggy and coupled with the (M)S feel twice as bad. I have been taking to curling up on the sofa with DD2 whilst DD3 naps but then feel bad as I should be spending some time with DD2.

The headache from hell seems to have gone now thankfully.

Glad my DP isn't the only one deprived. He should know what I am like pregnant by now lol I am not one of these blooming, forever horny pregnant women thats for sure!

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 07/10/2009 10:30

Tiggsy - I find chocolate cereal pretty useful Someone last time told me it was a good way of getting some vitamins and minerals into you so I tend to think of it as the healthy option

I got my scan date this morning - 9th November, seems like ages away but I'm glad to have a date now.

I wish I was one of those women who blooms in pregnancy, I just look huge and rough.

My wonderful sister took DD off for the afternoon yesterday so I could have a rest - bliss!

suey2 · 07/10/2009 11:39

orange juice! wow that would make me very sick sk. can't bear the thought of anything acidic.

Saw my obstetrician yesterday- what a lovely woman!

Have just done an hour of Pilates and feel very zen.......

OP posts:
sweetkitty · 07/10/2009 11:43

suey - is it the old wives tale, orange juice is supposed ot be a girl, anything salty or savoury is a boy, with the first two I loved those sour starburst sweets but not keen this time.

I am trying to drink more water today as well see if that helps

AnAngelWithin · 07/10/2009 11:51

morning all. How are you?

I went for my scan yesterday, kinda expecting the worst as i started bleeding again

But there was a little 7mm baby, with a hearbeat

Scan was very uncomfortable, as it was internal and she had to press upwards quite a lot to see anything as she said the baby is very high up?? So for now anyway, they are happy with the progress as they were expecting to be seeing 'debris' as such!!! I'm kind of in shock now, as I had convinced myself there was nothing there or that it wouldn't have grown. So today I am 6weeks 4 days, instead of being the 8 weeks according to the start of my bleeding. I started bleeding on the 8th aug, spotting for ages (about 10 days i think) before i had a week of 'proper' bleeding, so maybe the spotting wasn't the start of my period at all? Which would mean that their dates were wrong to start? Anyway, new due date is 29th May!

DH has told me that I am not to even lift a duster today it has finally sunk in with him now that we are having another baby....oh my god.....I'M HAVING ANOTHER BABY!!!!! I REALLY AM!!!!!

suey2 · 07/10/2009 11:54

that's interesting sk- i ahve not fancied anything sweet this time: although i have started mainlining chocolate just to get a bit of energy. very naughty...... but an apple just won't do!

anangelwithin wow- you have made me smile; quite teary actually: bloody hormones

LittleOneMum · 07/10/2009 11:57

memorylapse I am really sorry to hear that, and will keep everything crossed.

Thanks to everyone who fessed up that their sex life isn't all that at the moment. I am incredibly impressed that anyone is managing to get down to some BDing at the moment. FT job + MS from hell + toddler = not much action for my DH, I'm afraid...

and thanks to everyone for tips. Have sea bands and will now try preggiepops and polos too!

AnAngelWithin · 07/10/2009 12:12

AnAngelWithin · 07/10/2009 12:13

ah suey2, sorry, don't cry!!!

mustbemadno3 · 07/10/2009 13:13

Hi am I bit late to join your ante natal thread? Ive been over in early babys may thread, didnt relialise this one existed!

TwentiethCenturyHeffa · 07/10/2009 13:31

mustbemadno3 - welcome to the thread

AnAngelWithin - so glad to hear about your scan, that's great news

Re orange juice: I'm drinking loads too, just had half a carton! I drank it a lot last time too, didn't know it was a sign of a girl. Extremely sour apple chewits are one of my top faves for pregnancy, although I really want a McDonalds as well..

AnAngelWithin · 07/10/2009 13:35

mustbemadno3, never too late to join!! feel free to add your stats to the list! Love the name. I could've had that name at one point...now i am on number 5 lol

thanks twentiethcenturyheffa

tiggsy · 07/10/2009 13:44

my main thing with dd was fruit, fruit juice and fruit lollies, this time its starchy stuff... not sure if it means anything but most peeps i speak to agree they ate loads of fruit etc when they had girls

AnAngelWithin · 07/10/2009 13:51

well all i want is fruit juice and pasta tiggsy lol

i get sooooooo hungry, then i sit down to a meal and only manage to eat a few mouthfuls, then cannot physically put anymore in my mouth!! then an hour later, I'm starving again!! I give up!!

pigleychez · 07/10/2009 13:58

will catch up properly in a bit but quick question for mummies on number 3 or more.

Has anyone taken a LO to thier booking in appointment at the hospital? The one where they take all your details.

Just got my appointment in the post and either looks after DD whilst I go alone or we all go together.

memorylapse · 07/10/2009 13:59

Angel, lovely news re; the scan

Hobnobfanatic · 07/10/2009 14:01

I ate hardly any fruit when pg with my DD. Same this time around. I'm barely managing two portions of f+v a day, let alone five. All I can manage are carbs - sometimes a crumpet, bread, cornish pasty... Am 9 weeks now and am hoping this horrible MS will go soon - otherwise the baby and I will both become horribly malnourished!

Twentieth century - am necking OJ here too. That's where one of my 5 a day is coming from, thank God!

Hollyoaks - I'm giving Seabands a try, too - out of desperation. Don't seem to ahve much effect, tbh, but the uncomfortableness is a good distraction from the MS!

AnAngelWithin · 07/10/2009 14:07

thanks memorylapse. how are you doing?

BuongiornoPrincipessa · 07/10/2009 14:13

I must be having a girl then as I am craving all types of fruit esp grapefruit, satsumas, orange juice and oddly, raisins.
