shhhhhhhhhhh Haven in caster which is just north of great yarmouth... So it wont be the end of the world if we have to cancel it....

Glask yes it is his first feed since 7 last night when we put him to bed... He seemed much better at that point. Then at 1 this morning he woke up and was boiling. He wouldnt feed but wouldn't be put down so i again kicked dp out of bed onto the sofa and Owen and i have been up since then, owen has just been laying on his tummy on me with jsut a nappy on under the fan... I am freezing he is boiling.... But he has just had a feed and kept some calpol down so hope that will help him out a bit.... He has also let me put him down for the first time since Wednesday so I can finally have my cup of coffee yay...

glaskham · 04/09/2009 10:05

Diege- sorry for bad night!! Seems like its pretty poor nights all round on the wagon today!! What is it with the wagon and our naughty sleepers?

Bump- no not the end of the world, but it'd be gutting to have to cancel a holiday you've been looking forward to. What did they say at A&E about taking him back if he doesn't improve etc? Any chance you can sneak a nap this afternoon if he has a sleep? You must be knackered- wish i lived closer to help- i feel so petty winging about a night of being up for an hour or so and regular feeding- but i've never been up from 1am!! Have you got anyone to help with DD?

Mark is coming home at 3 today and is going to take Jessica over the park and to her friends so I can have a rest. There is no one else around here. My mum cant drive and is back at work today (dinner lady and special needs escort) and MIL is working as well.. All my friends from toddler groups have babies the same age as Owen so couldn't ask them really as they have enough on their plates....

I am just laying on the sofa with owen asleep on me at the moment so nothing too heavy... It is really funny the house is really cold I have owen in a nappy and Jessica is in a long sleaved t shirt and a woolly jumper!!!!

A&E said to just keep giving him calpol as they belive it is a viral infection there is nothing else they can do!! GP said to go back if he gets worse but to be honest he has't got worse just hasnt got better so I wont bother today!!!

idreamofbeanie · 04/09/2009 10:29

Bump - so sorry poor Owen is still so ill. It must be horrible to watch him and not be able to do much . Hopefully if it is a virus it won't hang around too much longer. Glad DH is able to take DD for a while so you can rest.

Diege - sorry for bad night but well done for getting out of the school run. LOL at DDs poo toy. Bet it becomes a firm favourite and hangs around for years.

Morning Boden, Glask, Kay,

Well it's my last day of work today - yah! I feel a bit guilty looking forward to resting up and getting some sleep for the next week when so many wagoners are having bad nights but my turn will come soon enough.

glaskham · 04/09/2009 10:43

Well i hope you manage some rest later then!! And i suppose if he's not gotten worse i doubt they'd tell you any different today still, and it's probably not worth waiting round in A&E all day for them to say the same thing as the other night is it? You'll know yourself if it needs another trip- here's hoping the feed sets him on the right track today!!

Diege · 04/09/2009 10:45

Oh yes your time will come IDOB Will they be doing anything nice for your last day at work?? (ie. get you stuff ) Agree, Sneaky Poo will no doubt become a firm favourite, no pun intended...
BUMPS, sounds quite hopeful for the hols actually. Here's to a swift improvement over the weekend
GLASK, yes we do seem to have a lot of bad sleepers! Not sure what was wrong with J (he wasn;t hungry), just grouchy and grunty. He settled back at about 4ish after waking at 3, but of course as usual I couldn't get back to sleep again!Still no poo from dd, 2 sachets on...she's on the potty clutching Sneaky as I type!

glaskham · 04/09/2009 11:08

Deige- DD2 does that sometimes too- she'll normally settle with a feed still tho, and a bit of teething gel. I now just loose count of the amount of times i'm up in a night!!

Right- can i ask who's coming to York? I booked my train tickets last night for me and my sister to come. Please tell me its still the 19th sept too?

OP posts:
Diege · 04/09/2009 11:17

Yes it is!! I'm def coming, really looking forward to it

idreamofbeanie · 04/09/2009 11:17

Hi Diege - we're having some cakes at 3pm which will be nice. Apart from that my day has consisted of showing my boss where everything is in the fridges, freezers etc and where all my paperwork is. It's all written down but she felt better if I actually pointed to it all .

Glask - I'll see you in York on 19th. Sorry - I forgot to post you any money for the sling (just been so hectic ) but I put it in the post this morning so you should get it tomorrow.

glaskham · 04/09/2009 11:48

Excellent- at least i wont turn up on the 19th on my own!! haha!!

IDOB- dont worry about not posting it- i'd actually forgotten about it anyway as so hectic here too!! haha!!

As for York, i'm expecting a picnic wont be do-able with the weather how its been recently- is there a back-up plan for lunch if the weather is poor? Diege- you're getting the train aren't you? what time do you get into the station at? My train gets in at 10.29am i think... should we meet inside the station? i could do with having your number in case i can't find you or something. Also i really want to get a picture of the wagon babies that'll be there all in the order they arrived!! think it'll be sweet to put it on our wagon FB group!!

bodenaddict · 04/09/2009 12:19

sorry to hear that owen isnt better

hope everyone else is having a good day

we went to the park very windy and cold

Diege · 04/09/2009 12:38

Hi Boden, windy here too!
GLASK, yes let's meet at the station (Kayz too?). I must check the train times too. Agree, back-up lunch venue/plan would be good with this weather.
Back from PO - dd on a 'go slow' walking up hill, so have decided to put her in buggy this afternoon, and ds in sling for school pick-up. Praying that it doesn;t rain!!!

Kayzr · 04/09/2009 12:41

I'm coming to York!! I can meet anyone at the station if you want. There is a pizza express nearish the station or we can decide when we get there.

Diege · 04/09/2009 17:24

Mmm pizza express!!
Well sling experiment didn't turn out great Fine on way up with dd in buggy, ds sling, but then when dd gets out of buggy at school couldn;t get her back in (yes, first mistake letting her out) Cue screaming tantrum on the playground floor...and have you ever tried getting a ramrod stiff, screaming and kicking toddler into a buggy with a baby in a sling??!!! Arghh!!! Then it starts raining of course..so we have the odd spectactle of me pushing an empty buggy, sling on, and dd3 screaming her head off, older 2 looking sheepish, heads down, keeping out of trouble...So a lesson learnt there!
Good news about out house though. Mortgage has gone through, though dh still looking wildly for better deals so survey next, gulp..
Off now as ocado van due any minute. Hope everyone has good weekends

glaskham · 04/09/2009 19:38

Pizza Express sounds ok- never actually eaten there but i like pizza so i'm sure i'll like it!!

DD2's appt went VERY well!! they dont want to see her for 4 mths now!! so i now have an app for jan 2010!! How strange!!

OP posts:
glaskham · 04/09/2009 20:07

right- i have a banging headache- DD2 is fast asleep in bed, DH has taken the other 2 to see the light being turned on, and i'm tired. SO.... i'm gonna go get my head down while the neighbours have turned the music down. Hopefully i'll get an hour or so before DH is home.

glaskham · 04/09/2009 20:16

OP posts:
essenceofSES · 04/09/2009 20:32

Hi Glask! Lovely of you to suggest that to your sister. Look forward to "meeting" her here soon and in RL in York.

Great that DD2 got on so well at her appointment. Did they have any further advice re her passing out the other day?

Diege - that was a pretty vivid image you gave of your school pick up. I'm sure I'd struggle big time but it sounds like you got through it well in the end. Great news about the house. Hope it continues quickly and smoothly.

IDOB - yay for ML!!

Bumps - poor you and poor Owen. If there is anything you need me to do, do ask. I could drive over one day next week if you want to give you a break or do chores or whatever.

essenceofSES · 04/09/2009 20:33

Oh x-posted!!

Welcome MMM

glaskham · 04/09/2009 20:36

Ses- she assured me that she wont come to any harm, thats it's 'textbook' breath-holding, and that she'll grow out of it. She said that however scary it is, it's perfectly normal behaviour in a way- as many as 1 in 10 children do it. She said if it becomes more frequent or if she starts fitting then to get in tough and see her asap, but so far she thinks an alarm might just be more hassle than its worth as they are so sensitive.
