Catch you later ladies.

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 26/09/2009 09:25

Good morning

Hoorah for AF Diege, very pleased for you (Bet there is a tiny bit of you now thinking 'it wouldn't have been that bad....'. Why does it always happen like that?

Kay, hope your's is doing a catch up. How is work going BTW? Did you manage to find out if you'd be better off not working?

Gruff, have no idea what any of that meant, but good luck getting on the course It's exciting isn't it? I can't wait! And bless GC crawling, DS1 was like that, flat on his belly, got him where he wanted to be!

Ses, O sound's so cute in the mirror! And your neighbours sound delicious lovely

Tink, DS2 would live outside if I let him, he just isn't bothered about the webs, mud, rain, wind, the only thing he doesn't like is a spider when it's moving, but TBH, he very rarely sees one anyway, he's too busy swinging/sliding/digging/throwing/catching/kicking/running/spinning/jumping... OMG this could go on for a while!

Moosy, sorry things are a bit tough at the moment Just try to make sure you get a chance to rest, it's all you can do to help most of it.

So we went to fireworks, they were absolutely amazing! Had no idea they'd be like that We didn't get home till 10.30, kids went straight to bed, they were a bit mixed really, Mikey was.... well.... just Mikey really, he couldn't care less about much TBH! DS2 was fine as long as there was a tram going by, especially the train and boat ones, I don't think he even looked at the fireworks! And DS1 was mesmerised He kept saying 'look the music is getting louder and faster and the fireworks are getting bigger and better!' I was really impressed.

And we had some really good news yesterday, had a letter from our mortgage company letting us know the redemption figure, and it's much less than we thought! So it's almost doubled what we thought we'd have left after the house has gone/everything else paid off. Not a bad thing to find out on a Friday!

Diege · 26/09/2009 09:47

Thanks everyone O feel like I've done something really important .Told dh and he said 'Does that mean we're not on for tonoght??' If he knew the half of it! LIGHTNING, you know they was a tiny bit of disappointment which is totally mad as I would have been devastated if I had got a bfp Enjoy the fireworks tonight!
Enjoy your shopping CANT and MMM! Looking forward to Preston and Machester shopping trips; shall we start arranging the Preston one?
Good luck KAYZ! Will you buy a test or are you going to wait it out? If you do buy and don;t need, at least you know they'll get some use in the future!

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 26/09/2009 10:01

LOL Diege, fireworks were last night! Keep up woman!!

I think the way I know 100% that we are done with the whole pregnancy/baby thing is when I had that late AF, must have been 3 or 4 months ago now, when it finally turned up I was so relieved, and not even the tiniest bit of sadness, or 'what if's?'.

Is the Preston one the one we were talking about the other day? Or is this one you've had planned before? (Don't want to but in with previous plans!) If it is the xmas shopping one we said around November time, I was thinking and I don't think I'd be able to make one in November, Decemeber yes, but if you didn't all want to wait till then then you go ahead, don't plan it around me please. (But would still be up for one in Decemeber, if anyone fancied it?!)

Diege · 26/09/2009 10:33

Dec would be fine for me LIGHTNING! Me and CANT (and MMM?) HAVE A MANCHESTER TRIP PLANNED FOR JAN (ALL WELCOME!)so preston could be our warm up in dec sorry for caps!! j a nightmare today and jiggling on knee. true what you say about reactions to af - while i am relieved for now, think i may well have another baby in me iyswim!
lol about fireworks, were they gd?

IWroteOffLightningMcQueen · 26/09/2009 10:45

Well I was thinking November, we'll have just moved, I'd only have been driving for a matter of days/weeks, not sure I'd have the time, or the nerve to drive to Preston on my own by then. And I know I can't make the first weekend in December, it's DS2's birthday. And at least one of the weekends, DH will be on call. Oh god, think best bet is you all organise a date and time and I'll see if I can make it!

Probably won't make Manchester in January though, January is our very worst month, last year I ended up with something like £1.46 in my purse by the end of the month, and that was it, that was all we had Bloody hate January And it's going to be worse this year, with Mikey's birthday at the end of December as well. Problem is, DH get's his January wage before xmas, so it's a low wage anyway because it misses a week's worth of overtime at the end of Dec. and it's to last 6+ weeks till the end of Jan. I don't know how many times we've said we'll not touch the wage until the end of Dec. but it's xmas, new year (and now Mikey's bday) it's always nearly gone at the start of January!

Bloody hate January!

See above for fireworks review!!

I thought after DS2 I'd be one of those people who always wanted another, wouldn't matter how many I had, I'd still want one more, but after the last pregnancy, it's enough to put me off for life!

Kayzr · 26/09/2009 10:54

Well I went to get a test and it is negative!!!!!!! Still got the annoying pain though. I've never had period pain in the 10 or so years I've been getting my period so not sure what it is. I was feeling awfully sick earlier but that's gone since I tested.

Diege · 26/09/2009 12:45

woo hoo KAYZ! That's good news We truly are cycle buddies now, lol!
NAT, I meant Nov, not Dec . Dec woulod be ok too, but the weekends seem to get taken up so quickly with relies visits etc, oh and that thing at the end of the month
All off to town this afternoon to buy J some toys. He's doing fine but is draining his bottles and starting to wake earlier, plus not last so long between feeds. He's 15 weeks today, so in the old days he'd be ready next week. May ring the HV on Monday and propose early weaning as he's (weight-wise) the same now as the dds were at 7 months
Hope everyone is having a good saturday!

idreamofbeanie · 26/09/2009 16:30

Hi all,

sorry I haven't had time for a proper read through yet. My friends and godson have been staying in York for a few days so I have been meeting up with them most days - it is lovely to see them and have something to do but keeping up with a toddler is exhausting! Huge respect to all of you who managed pregnancies with DCs, I don't know how you did it, I've been too tired in the evening to even switch the laptop on.

Well they left yesterday so DP and I went to Pocklington this morning to walk along the canal. It's been a lovely day but I think I might have to go for a nap now. I'll do a proper catch up later.

maxxymoosmummy · 26/09/2009 16:42

hi everyone again, back from shopping and taking all 4 DCs to the park my DS was fast asleep though so unfortunately didnt get to go on the swings. but theres all the other times we walk through there to go on them.

yes i think i will be joining you in manchester DIEGE sounds good
and hopefully preston too. cant beat the christmas shopping haha.

just home watching hollyoaks whilst DS is causing havoc playing with his toys.

maxxymoosmummy · 26/09/2009 16:44

aww still no sign of the little madam yet then IDOB hope she arrives soon and doesnteep you waiting too much longer.

GYo · 26/09/2009 20:26

Helllooooo everyone, sorry for having not posted for ages

We have just got back from holiday. It was the Small Giraffe's first trip on a plane! It was sooo much easier than I expected and all the staff were really helpful. We had a fab time and SG seems to have changed loads in the time we were away. She is now more or less sitting up, chatting away and we now on our way with BLW

Sorry I've not caught up completely, but I see you are still waiting IDOB- hope you are feeling ok. Are you still on plan for a HWB?

Big waves to everyone

Diege · 27/09/2009 10:01

Morning! Hi GRUFF, glad holiday went well and that the plane trip was a success!
IDOB, any news? You must be truly fed up of things by now!
Slow start here. Have cajouled dds into doing their homework, always a massive struggle

House is massive tip so must do something - startong to think should be chucking rather than toidying with move coming up! Dh went round there yesterday as I said I need measurements (ie, for things like curtains, dimensions to fit wardrobes in etc). He came back with the measurement of the one fitted wardrobe there, and no others

Diege · 27/09/2009 10:04

On the plus side bought a bed for dd3 (her current one is fitted into the room, so obviously can't rip it out to take!). Got a real bargain - headrest and bed frame for £50, should be £150 - pink metalwork with heart shape at top). They're getting rid of stock so were pleased to sell, plus the shop is 20 secs from our house - may be more bargains to be had!

tinksbiggirlhasstartedschool · 27/09/2009 10:45

Hi MOOS! Your pregnancy is flying by! I MUST get your coat sent off ; promise it will go either Mon or Tues. How are you feeling?
Hi TINKS! Waterstones spend sounds good BTW, can you advise on any good children's furniture shops? (online) Not verbaudet as they do my head in with their delays . I am already having a love affair with Aspace, but they are a tad pricey!

idreamofbeanie · 27/09/2009 15:06

Afternoon all,

GYo -glad the hols went well. Still all set for a home birth as long as she arrives in the next couple of weeks.

Diege - what a bargain on the bed. Hope they are nearly finished the homework!

Tink - sounds like a successful shopping trip. Hope the Michael Jackson film is good - you'll have to review it for us.

DP and I decided to have a day at the coast as the weather was so nice so we have been to Scarborough. I'm a bit uncomfortable after 3 hours of walking but feel so much less moody after a weekend out of the house in the fresh air . I hate being cooped up. Still no real signs labour will start soon but I had a bit of a show yesterday and I can really feel the baby has moved down (it feels like I am sitting on her head sometimes and she is headbutting all sorts of sensitive places) so I really think it'll all happen in about a week or so which is okay. I see the midwife on Thursday so we'll see what she says.

Right, feel the need to be tidy and organised so going to have a quick sit down then make DP do the hoovering and clean the bathroom while I tidy up and mop the floors.

idreamofbeanie · 27/09/2009 15:08
