I'm not wasting a test just for AF to arrive 2 seconds later.

essenceofSES · 25/09/2009 17:55

I know... Just brings back all the memories of ttc

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 17:56

I know it does for me too. Except the feeling of dread of getting a BFP.

essenceofSES · 25/09/2009 17:59

Well fingers crossed AF shows up before Monday and then you can use the test in a year when you want a BFP

essenceofSES · 25/09/2009 18:05

DS has his nose pressed up against the mirror on his playmat and keeps laughing at himself

Right DH will be home in a minute. I'd best go and look at what's for tea!

Diege · 25/09/2009 18:40

Evening! Work does sound very keen to get you back SES! Are they paying for you to attend these meeting btw? (in line with the legal requirements re: 'keeping in touch days') Just being nosy and bossy - the old shop steward in me from my days at Lewis's
KAYZ, I am with you on the dread, so different from when you want a BFP! I won't be testing for a while yet, probably middle of next week, as if that bleed was implantation, then I know a bfp would show up by then. If it was an ovulation bleed (doubtful as had EWM a week or so before) af won't be due for ages, if af then I'll get EWM in a week or so. Does that all make sense??? Of course could just be a bit of mid-cycle spotting that apprently everyone gets from time to time God can you imagine moving house with a baby, arguing toddlers, and hypermesis?

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 18:46

I've got a pack of 2 tests so I can post you 1 if you need it Diege.

Diege · 25/09/2009 19:08

Gulp, that would be great KAYZ! Let's see what the weekend brings first though You never know, you made need the second yourself if first is bfn but af doesn't come!

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 19:57

Yeah we'll be fine. It's probably just our imaginations!!

maxxymoosmummy · 25/09/2009 20:04

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 20:39

I am so fed up of waiting for the shopping. It always comes either dead on 7 or dead on 9. Never anywhere in the middle.

maxxymoosmummy · 25/09/2009 20:46

awww, and once it comes you wont be bothered to put it all away, cuz u would have got settled for the night ey?

im hopin for another fab night tonight like last woop fingers crossed but cant complain as hes brill

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 20:47

Yeah and Strictly has just started so I really just want to watch it.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/09/2009 20:57

Evening everybody,

sorry haven't been on for a while, GC is now commando crawling, has been for last couple of weeks and is keeping me on my toes. Definitely time for baby proofoing. Its great though as he is not so frustrated anymore! When he gets bored of 1 toy he just goes and finds another 1 or the laptop support or the argos catalogue so sweet seeing him getting around though!

STT - hope you have managed to sort your problem.

Diege/Kayz hope you know whats going on with AF soon!

Re having another, I was all set for ttc next year but now I have decided to apply to do a doctorate (3 years, PhD equivalent) which is really competitive so probably won't get onto it but Diege as you are offering careers guidance at the mo on the wagon, did you do your PhD when you had any DC's??Was it absolute nightmare?? Thesis is about 35,000 words, which is 3 times what my dissertation was!But it's what I really want to do so going to go for it anyway!Like I said chances are I won't get it. 390 applicants for 12 places...

SO no more DC's for a while but I'm only 26 so plenty of time...if I dont get a place it will be back to original plan of TTCing from April so it's a win win situation!

Ses, your neighbours sound great! Sounds like a plan re the meal - yummy! Cute image of DS and the mirror! GC likes his too, although I think he prefers to eat it

Tink - I think it prob quite natural for DD1 to be attitude-y given it's her first week. Glad its all gone well. As you get used to it I'm sure it wont be as bad (the school run I mean).Hope she enjoys being in her boden clothes tomorrow!

Lightnening - course sounds great. Good luck. Hope you manage to do it. It's great that you are wanting to do it and better yourself.

CANT - Hope you manage to get what you want from your ebay sales. I was quite at how much money you were taking but I guess you are a family of 5! I haven't got a clue about costs. Maybe I'll stick to the one DC...oh and I am a miser in case no one has guessed yet

Moosy - sorry you are feeling rough - not long now. Try and get rest if you can! (with other DCs I know that is hard!)

MMM - what does 'save for a bond' mean? Hope you find a house you want soon, I am with you on wanting a garden!

GruffaloSoldier · 25/09/2009 21:01

oops sorry for all the typos!

also meant to say hello to anyone I've missed!

Oh and Star I am def still up for a meet up. where were we thinking of again?? Gyo is not around at the mo but we can sort it all out when she gets back.

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 21:14

Argh!!!! The shopping has come and no pg tests!!!!! I am so annoyed!!

Diege · 25/09/2009 21:15

Hi GRUFF! Your plans (whatever direction they take in the end) sound great. Am intrigued by 3 year doctorate - can I ask what in? I presume it's a course rather than research led if it's 3 years and 35,000 words? I did my PhD straight after degree, so no children. I have to say it was massively time consuming and it nearly killed me, but looking back there was no excuse not to get it done, just procrastination! I think the more you have on your plate, you more you do sometimes! Great on GC's commando crawling
KAYZ, know what you mean about internet shopping deliveries. And then you end up standing at the door like a saddo for hours while they unpack the van, and (as MMM says) get lazy about the unpacking...
I have decided that there's no way I can be pregnant and have bought a coat online from French Connection that would no way cover a bump!!!

Diege · 25/09/2009 21:16

OMG no Kayz!!! You know I was just thinking as I was typing that last post that they wouldnl;t arrive, and you would have to ring up the helpline and ask about then

Kayzr · 25/09/2009 21:20

They were unavailable!!! Oh well I will just wait until Tuesday. If no AF then I'll go to the shop.

maxxymoosmummy · 25/09/2009 21:37

i have to pay a bond ( equivilant to a months rent0 before moving in to cover any damages that may occur at the end of the tenancy as i can only rent not buy. so need around 5 - 600 not good but sooo want to move.

not good about the tests KAYZ hope AF comes soon for you and DIEGE

GruffaloSoldier · 25/09/2009 21:47

Hi ladies,

Kayz that is so annoyong re the pg test! It's just typical!Grr!

Diege, Yep sorry I didnt say - doh! Its the educational psychology doctorate so incorporates research thesis and professional training. Its LEA funded which is why places are limited, you get a great bursary in the 1st year and is mainly uni based then years 2 and 3 are either you working as assistant ed psych with a couple of days release for uni, or placement with additional bursary or a bit of both (depending on which institution you end up, presumbaly down to individual LEA's)with release to uni. when you finish you will be a chartered ed psych, ready to practice. I am building my hopes up way too much though! But just can't help getting excited because of what could be

GruffaloSoldier · 25/09/2009 21:50

oh like a deposit? ah thats a shame MMM - hope you don't have to wait too long!

maxxymoosmummy · 25/09/2009 22:00

ye, u could say it like a deposit ye. didnt think to explain it like that and me too but im guessing now that i now that it will have to be in the new year.

GruffaloSoldier · 25/09/2009 22:12

MMM - no worries, it was me being dense. new year will be here before you know it!don't worry - plenty of time before DS really 'needs' a garden. well that's what I keep telling myself anyway. But it will be lovely for you both whenever it happens I'm sure. if all goes to plan we will hopefully be selling our flat and buying a house August time next year. But who knows! I am looking now, even though there is no way we can do it now, because I am so impatient!

Kayzr · 26/09/2009 08:00

Morning!

Just realised we haven't heard from IDOB for a few days!!
