Hi. Just got in as DH was still at MILs and I didn't have my keys. So I went there.

Watching Strictly and sky+ X Factor.

I had a great day today. All the babies are gorgeous and I'll put up the picture of the babes and bump tomorrow morning.

Kayzr · 20/09/2009 19:43

Hello!

DS2 is in his cot. I think he might be asleep as the screaming has stopped. He was only crying for about 5 minutes. Fingers crossed it lasts.

Hope you are all well.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 20/09/2009 19:49

evening Kayz!! Fingers crossed on sleeping DS2 for you!! We've had WW3 here this evening with DD2, over-tired, refusing to feed properly as she's kicking and thrashing about so much screaming- so have put her in her cot and the screaming stopped after about 30secs!! Think she likes sleeping in her cot better!!

Just won DD2 a next coat on ebay for 20p!! was very happy with that!! Have also seen a lovely fleecy pink spotty one that she has the matching hat, gloves and scarves set for- may have to get that one too if i can get another bargain!!

Kayzr · 20/09/2009 19:54

I spoke too soon. DH has gone up to him. Hopefully he'll drop off soon.

maxxymoosmummy · 20/09/2009 20:09

awww hope DS2 goes off soon. M has been asleep since around 5 seen as hes had a busy day at his dads playing in the ball pool.
he seems to love it so may be that ill have to buy one in for him.
knowing my luck he wont like it at home haha

Starshinetiger · 20/09/2009 20:20

Hey All, glad you guys had a good meet up in York - sounds good.
GYo & Gruff - are we still organising a Reading or somewhere else southern meet up for October? And for anyone else who fancies it. Am I the only one who hasn't met any other Wagoners yet?

Thanks for the kind words on sleeping everyone. I guess I have to take the good parts - we do have bedtime licked now - she goes down at same time every night, it's just the waking in the night we have to sort out. Disrupted the whole routine by going to DS friend's birthday yesterday and not getting back until 8pm - had put DD to sleep in her pushchair but she woke up and then was unsettled all evening despite feeding. I refused to feed her if she had woken within a couple of hours of a feed, hence I was up most of night until about 3 something - by this stage I was just lying in bed next to her cot and sshing every time she disturbed, hence don't know what time she drifted off.

My Mum is officially an angel though - she rang at 11.30am and said "how big is your ironing pile"? I said "pretty big", so she said "I thought I'd come on over and iron it for you, I need your opinion on a skirt anyway".... She arrived 1.30pmish at which point DD was going down for her 2nd nap of the day, so I had a lovely play with DS while Mum ironed and watched the golf. DD had two good 1.5 hour naps today - I cooked roast dinner and we all sat down to that, followed by plum crumble. Now Mum has gone home (she lives 1.5 hours away), both children are in bed and we were cleared up by 7.50pm - not sure how long DD will last, but hey, let's just see how it goes and Mum has done all but a couple of sheets of my ironing - she is sooooo good. Probably set off by me being in tears with tiredness when she rang on Friday night, but still, she didn't need to do it!

Anyway, am going to see how it goes tonight - am thinking she may be going through a 6 month growth spurt, but we'll see....

Anyway, glad you guys had a good meet up - I'm just welling up at Scott on X factor, so think I'm just going to give in on computer and settle back to enjoy.

Will be back to have a go on IDOB's syndicate soon.

Kayz - sending you good sleep vibes for DS2.

Kayzr · 20/09/2009 20:31

Well that lasted long. DS2 is downstairs as DH can't hack his crying. I am so pissed off with him. I am going to slap him with the sleep book I got from the library(DH not DS2). Tomorrow he is going to bed with DS1 and he will just have to lump it.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 20/09/2009 20:45

Oh no- you need the 'talk' with DH about sticking you your guns!! I never needed to do it though as somehow i alwasy do the bedtime routine- till they're off bedtime milk then he does it!!

idreamofbeanie · 20/09/2009 22:34

Hi all,

the meet up in York was great even though I was hobbling a bit after a few days bouncing on my birth ball. It was great to see the babies too, they are all so gorgeous.

No news from here yet, def think she will be a late baby. I'm trying to be patient about it but it's just not me .

Kayzr · 21/09/2009 09:02

Morning.

DH has just rung tax credits and if I give up work we won't get anymore money. It bloody sucks. I am really upset as I hate going to work. I just want to look after the boys.

Hope you are all well.

cantmummyhaveabreak · 21/09/2009 09:43

Thats such a shame Kayz- i gather you dont earn enough to take you down a tax credit barrier if you were to leave work if you wont get any more money. Its such a shame.... i've never worked since having the kids so we dont know the difference of having that second wage aswell. Though we'd need to pay childcare if i worked so we'd be down because of that.

I've listed the rest of DD2's bits and bobs on ebay that she's outgrown, hoping to get a last bit of extra spending money to change to euro's for the DC's... Can't believe that in 3 weeks time i'll be on my way over to france now.... in fact we'll be nearly there!!! God i'm getting so excited!! Thouhg our camera started playing up yesterday- luckily we're able to borrow MIL's as we're staying with them the few days before and after the holiday- some 'chill-out' time before we go and relaxing time afterwards!! She'll do most of the childcare for the older 2 while we're there and its heaven- she just loves it, suppose she only see's them a few times a year with living so far away so it's still a novelty to her!!

tinksbiggirlhasstartedschool · 21/09/2009 09:55

morning

essenceofSES · 21/09/2009 13:33

Hi! Got back from York last night at about 9.30pm. Left York at 3.30pm so not the quickest journey but DS was a little star. He slept for the first 3 hours until Oxford so we stopped for about 45 mins there and then he was a bit unsettled the rest of the way but I'd expressed 3 lots of 4oz and he had most of that over the remaining couple of hours home.

Meeting everyone was great. So strange that we'd never met and yet I felt I knew you all so well! I must get some photos posted. Diege - I have a cute one of O and J lying next to eachother

I'm just trying to catch up on Strictly and X Factor but DH cancelled the Saturday night programmes !!! I'm sure I shouldn't watch so much telly anyway!

Kay - I feel for you re work. I'm really not looking forward to going back but know I'll have to in the New Year. I'll have to start negotiating some part-time hours in a few weeks time as I'd really like to go back 3 or 4 days a week max.

IDOB - these last days weeks are so frustrating. Everyone keeps telling you to make the most of it and you just get fed up with waiting. I hope you don't havge to wait too long...

Kayzr · 21/09/2009 14:12

Very quick post to say I have added the pics from Saturday. There are also a few of the boys from MILs there too.

Diege · 21/09/2009 16:00

Quick post from me too as dd3 not well...just collected from nursery. Lovely pics KAYZ! Haven't we got a lovely lot of babies
Better go, back asap!

Kayzr · 21/09/2009 19:33

DS2 is in bed. He is not a happy bunny but it has to be done. DS1 has just gone up to bed with DH so hopefully DS2'll settle down.

maxxymoosmummy · 21/09/2009 21:58

Kayzr · 22/09/2009 06:43

Morning.

DS2 slept all night. He went to sleep at half 8 an has just woken up. I didn't though, I kept waking up.

Hope you are all ok.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 22/09/2009 06:56

Morning Kayz, good news about DS2! Sorry you had a disturbed night though.

Been really busy here, DS' room is nearly done now, he moved back in on Sunday night. He woke us this morning at 5.15 and joined us in bed, he normally rolls over and goes to sleep, but this morning, after about 5 mins he asked DH for some milk. DH went and got him some (we've never refused, and he's been a bit under the weather and not eating much either), but when he got back with it, DS went into a whinging, whiney meltdown:

"i don't want milk, i don't want to go to nursery, i don't want the covers, i don't want mummy / daddy / teddies / a pillow / to sleep / to watch telly"

I could quite cheerfully have put him in the kitchen and left him to it. Instead, him and DH are now cuddled up asleep, and I'm wide awake - or will be, until about 8.00 when I need to start getting on with jobs and will instead be knackered.

Ho Hum. I guess its not about to get much better is it?

38 weeks today, baby still seems to be wriggling around a lot, hope its still head down though I have to admit, I'm just not certain about it at the moment. Midwife appt on Thurs so she can check - not that I have much confidence but not much else I can do really.

Just looking out of my window at the trees in the park, seems strange to see them with an autumnal glow about them - I just don't know where this year has gone!

It only dawned on me a couple of days ago that the 'anniversary' of the mc has been and gone, I guess that means that I've moved on - the pregnancy has certainly been key I think.

Anyway, best go as I need to get DS bag packed for nursery, speak later, x

ps - sorry for me post, will try and do better later.

Starshinetiger · 22/09/2009 07:49

Morning all!
Yay for DS2 Kayz - is always nice to see it move in the right direction. Hope it will continue and then you will sleep too.
STT - sorry for early start with DS. Do sympathise. We invested in a bunny clock earlier in the year - DS was waking up early, not going back to sleep and had dropped his nap - not a good combination. Has worked wonders for us. Although, this morning I tried to catch him at top of stairs and bring him down to DD and I for brekkie, without waking DH, but DS "Don't want you, want Daddy", so I said, ok, either come downstairs with me for breakfast or get into bed with Daddy for cuddle: DS "No, want Daddy to get breakfast". Anyway, he agreed to cuddle in bed with Daddy and has been there for 30 mins - the "Don't want you, want xx" routine is starting to wear a little thin....
DD on the other hand - well, I guess we call it an improvement... decided to put her to bed earlier last night, so she didn't fall asleep on her feed. She had a really disturbed feed, kept pulling off, then it took me an hour to settle her in her cot - she wasn't screaming, just chewing ferociously on everything in sight, so in the end we gave her calpol, as her gums do feel sharp. I was up to her every 2 hours, but only to resettle - she only fed every 4 hours and was quick to resettle, so it is an improvement.... Guess we will keep going and see how it goes. Trick will be for next 4 nights when I'm putting both to bed on my own to feed her before DS' bedtime and then if she won't settle, not to feed her again after DS' bedtime, but just to put her down. Shall see how my nerve holds.

Right - glad you found bargains in Asda MMM
Glad you had a good anniversary spa Tink.

Bumpy - glad you had good hols. How is DS' sleeping now?

Ahh - breakfast calls (well, one now sat at table eating, the other must be fed now...)
