Hello all

Thought i'd join in - I am due on the 18th Dec apparently! When doc asked when my period was I couldnt remember and so gave an approx date out of the dark!!!???

I am due in to midwife on the 7th june (will be 13wks then) for what i dont know - NHS dont say nothing! Asking around, living in Southampton it doesnt sound like i get a scan till 20weeks but i am defo showing and due to unsure of conception date would like an early scan.

Does anyone have any advice for me as the cloak and dager world of NHS is peeing me off.

ta ladies

Nemo1977 · 27/05/2005 14:57

afternoon all
just quick one as im shattered. Been out all morning to tots then for some shopping etc and its hot but murky here..yuk. I am 11wks today and can emapthise with the thinking its all over feeling. I decided today to take some positive action and i bought a baby outfit in white. Just one but it made it seem more real. Next mw appointment is 7th june which seems ages as its then i want to beg for another scan...although shouldnt really have to beg anyways...lol I got asked today if i was pg..ye haaa...lol i did say yes as if i lose this baby then i dont want to ignore the fact it was here. Anyway hope all babes r behaving and ladies are relaxing
take care

dramaqueen72 · 27/05/2005 15:46

hi mychelle, you NEED to say 'i have no real idea of the dates', not guess at one, and they will fix that early scan. youre right southampton (I'm in your area) only scan at 20wks unless youre high risk or unsure of dates.

beckymumof3 · 28/05/2005 17:35

Blimey!!! Danger of a day passing without a message.... phew, i've saved the day lol.

Went all over today looking for a pair of maternity jeans that I could wear now...failed miserably and bought 2 pairs of maternity jogging bottoms from mothercare. May have to succumb to Seraphina after all

A bloke got up and offered me his seat which made me rather embarrassed and tempted to stick my belly out as far as possible! For pete's sake i'm not even 10 weeks yet!!!? But will be on Weds...roll on Weds

Bonkerz · 28/05/2005 17:36

Ok im sorry i was so paranoid the other day.

Woke up today and was vilolently sick for atleast 20 mins! Completely wiped me out. Also went shopping and my SIL who hasnt seen me for 4 weeks told me it was obvious i was pregnant by the shape of my tummy!! Have just got up from my afternoon doze and feel SO sick!!

Have craving for fresh bread!

Bonkerz · 28/05/2005 17:36

Going out for a meal tonight and just hope i can eat cos i love eating out!!! Am designated driver!! What a surprise! me thinks that is how the next 7 months is going to be!

Nemo1977 · 30/05/2005 09:38

quiet weekend on here...but thats bank holidays..lol
hope all are well.
I am ok still slipping in and out of disbelieving..lol We went to a christening yesterday which would have been lovely if ds hadnt been so hyper. We had to leave at about 3 as he was all over the place and i couldnt settle.
Anyone else got a really bad back? my back has been awful to go with the tiredness etc..lol

anyway enough moaning enjoy your days

Booklover · 30/05/2005 13:58

Hello everyone,

Only posted on this thread once before but always reading it. Getting quite excited as I have my 12 weeks scan coming up on 9th June and can't wait now, with ds I only believed I was pregnant when I saw him on the screen :-) Hope you are all well, just wanted to let you know that Tchibo (do you know that shop?) has got some baby clothes and maternity wear next week (they keep changing their goods on a regular basis, i.e. one week it is kitchen stuff, next week gardening and so on....)

LunarSea · 30/05/2005 16:24

Hi all - nothing positive to report (still off work, still feel worse than while it was all happening) - but just wanted to say that although it's a bit early have a look at the highchairs that Tchibo have . Very similar to the Tripp Trapp ones at a fraction of the price. Unfortunately they usually only have them once a year, and they always sell out really quickly.

Nemo1977 · 30/05/2005 17:04

fantastic never heard of that shop before but have signed up for the catalogue. Looks good becauset they will deliver and the triptrap highchairs are great. DS has a cheaper version that cost me £30 on ebay

goldenoldie · 30/05/2005 18:08

Thanks for this - I've got a Tchibo just down the road - will have a look in next week.

beckymumof3 · 30/05/2005 19:26

If you go to the 'coming soon' section of the Tchibo website it lets you order in advance for next week - which is all maternity stuff. Never heard of this shop before so interesting...

LunarSea · 30/05/2005 19:37

Tchibo is great - really good quality/price ratio. I've bought loads of stuff from them!
