SH, were you not going to get one of those lovely dresses for the christening or were they for something else?

I've managed to find some lovely cream linen trousers (with a drawstring waist!!) at Fatface & they are my favourite clothes now as they are so comfy. Could you get something like that that you can dress up or down and then you can wear them after Sunday too?

Sorry about your shoulder DQ, you must be in agony. Does a hot water bottle help (not sure how you balance it on your shoulder though!)

george32 · 01/06/2005 10:40

Sorry Nemo, missed that you are 12 weeks on Friday.
I'm so pleased for you. Is it really that long ago that you got you BFP?

sweetheart · 01/06/2005 10:53

george,

I ordered two of the three dresses and they were all terrible!!!!!

this one
Made me look like soemthing out of Heartbeat - totall 60's throwback - I was so dissapointed, it looks so nice in the picture

and this one
oh my...... well what can I say!!!!
It is crap!!!! Really poorly made, seems are wonky, stiching is crap - looked like an out of shape tent!!! My dd who is 5 next week could have done better

I've got black linen trousers so I think I'll just look for a floaty top to match.

LunarSea · 01/06/2005 14:09

If any of you haven't ordered from Tchibo before but wants any of the baby/maternity things they've currently got on offer I've got five online voucher codes for £5 off £20 or more valid until the 30 June 2005. Email me to gill AT [notthisbit] gmx DOT co DOT uk and I'll forward them on to the first 5 to ask.

george32 · 01/06/2005 16:10

Hi LunarSea, hope you are OK.
I have just e-mailed you for one of the codes please.
Another excuse to do more shopping!!!

dramaqueen72 · 01/06/2005 16:19

found GREAT blk trousers, drawstring waist and elasticated back bit in wallis. black linen ones. i was SO pleased to fit into my 'normal' size!!!! dh treated me (anything to shut me up i think!!) so have bottom half sorted for saturday party anyhow. have chocolate brown floaty top but unsure if total fashion faux pas to wear chocolate brown with black (anyone??) i'm kinda hoping not!! and lets not even mention the weather........if it rains i'm totally stuck!
yes shoulder hurts.its been hurting since sunday morning, but last night must of done something to it ot make it worse as in agony all night/today. and you cant fix them cant you? its a thing you have to 'sit out'. hot water bottle sound good idea. I am 11wks this weekend coming,.... gosh its been ages huh? but i am lucky enough to have doppler and hearing heartbeat every day has made me happier and more relaxed. i know its still beating, so can look forward to scan for chance to see baby rather than await terrifying 'is it isnt it' moment.
hope scan tomorrow is good george. lucky you! mines only monday but monday seems an eternity away!!

sweetheart · 01/06/2005 16:46

I've been told it is bad taste to wear brown and black - but I do it!!!!

Bonkerz · 01/06/2005 17:06

Hi all, seems we are all having trouble with clothes then although i too have found some drawstring trousers which are fab!!
Got scan on friday and am trying not to think about it. Have felt ok today but have heaved when cooking food but been able to eat. Cant help worrying that all is not well but have to try and be positive. Hopefully i will come away on friday with a piccie of my bean and we can finally tell dsd and ds why ive been so poorly! We are taking them to gullivers kingdom tomorrow and ive had to tell them i cant go on the rides because i have a poorly tummy!!

Nemo1977 · 01/06/2005 19:56

bonkerz where is gullivers kingdom? We have a gullivers world by us about 20mins drive but ds is still too young. Clothes..im just going for elasticated at the min...always a winner. I dont know what im going to do if i cant sort out scan as my positivity is really slipping the past few days..

MINNIE1 · 02/06/2005 08:57

Morning all,

How is everyone today??

Has anyone been scared sh&tless to tell people about there pregnancy..

OP posts:
ebbie22 · 02/06/2005 09:09

Morning all,DQ,have you pulled a muscle in your neck?if so go to see a person who deals with it,can be costly and will kill you tomorrow but then it should be fine,[thats if it is a pulled muscle}...
How is everyone else?None of my clothes fit me and my skin is so spotty

ebbie22 · 02/06/2005 09:11

SW what size are you?Is it this weekend that you need the outfit for?

george32 · 02/06/2005 09:18

Hi all,
Minnie, I'm with you on being scared to tell people and those I have told are also all holding their breath til 12 weeks. Hoping I can be a bit more relaxed after tonight but still only 9½ weeks - argh!!!

Nemo, think it might be time for you to tell a little white lie about things. Perhaps spotting or tummy pain. Anything to make your doctor phone up the EPU. You will feel so much better if they arrange another scan for you. Good luck with it

ebbie22 · 02/06/2005 09:24

What time is your scan george?

MINNIE1 · 02/06/2005 09:25

george32
I not the only one, i am afraid in case anything goes wrong.... Its not like me to keep these things to myself.....i'll be 10 wks on sat and oooooo were getting there slowly....

ebbie22
I look like a teenager gone wrong, my chin is covered in them.. Put loads of sudocream on them last night, surprised cause they went down a little.. And of course i forgot i had the cream on and answered the front door to DP friends, aghhhh...

Also have the metallic taste in my mouth every morning now.. I think that is the only reasurance i am holding on to at the mo...

OP posts:
ebbie22 · 02/06/2005 09:35

Minnie,I am always doing that or used to but with toothpaste, now i use avons tee tree stick, brillent and can use under makeup, although am avoiding foundation as sure it make it worse...
Keep getting headaches but did put it down to the weather....

MINNIE1 · 02/06/2005 09:55

ebbie22
I find drinking loads of water clears a headache, must get some tea tree use it before and found it good.. Make up is gone out the window, I havent the energy to put it on in the mornings anymore!!!

OP posts:
dramaqueen72 · 02/06/2005 10:13

no, not so spotty this time, (maybe its a boy in here then? as girls previously have made me very spotty?? dd whos 2 insists its a baby brother in here!...) i do usually get them all across my chest in pg but not so far.....skin very dry tho, and hair not behaving either. i look at my body in the mirror and it really doesnt look like me anymore!!
thanks ebbie but no its a trapped nerve, one of those quirky things you just do one day from sitting/sleeping in funny position. its eased somewhat today, fingers crossed it goes asap!
nemo, wouldnt you consider a doppler? felt funny this morning (tummy ache) but found heartbeat and reassured myself 100%. if not maybe it would be easier to fix extra visit with midwife and get her to listen to heartbeat rather than try for an extra scan? hang in there we are all getting well under way, now youre so many weeks in the chances are better and better all the time.
my metallic taste has gone i think, tho nothing tastes 'normal' so maybe not, sense of smell still rivals a blood hound tho, its ridiculous!!

MINNIE1 · 02/06/2005 10:21

dramaqueen72
where did you get you doppler from?

OP posts:
Nemo1977 · 02/06/2005 10:21

MINNIE1 · 02/06/2005 10:27

OP posts:
george32 · 02/06/2005 12:49

My scan isn't until 7.30pm tonight so I'm very pleased I have work to keep me busy today.

I'm sorry you are feeling down Nemo. It's tough enough keeping your spirits high when you have hormones doing weird things to you body, let alone if you are feeling down about other things. Please don't leave us. We are all here to lend an ear and give you support.

Hi MINNIE1,

Just popped in to see how you were. I have been away for a few days which was relaxing. Morning sickness is really bad this time and I'm scared of opening my mouth in the morning which is heaven for DP but very unusual for me

How have you been??? Caught up a bit on threads.
