Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
glaskham · 17/08/2009 19:02

evening... have been hectic busy- DH has been off and we've blitzed the dining room, moved around DC's room, been shopping today for some shoes for DS, food shopping yesterday... on top of the usual.

And DD2 is still a little under the weather with her cough, and has had me up loads the last few nights.... i'm like a zombie (though sure you're suffering more bump)

anyhow... have skimmed thru...

Lightening- house looks lovely- when you're in preston i'll be able to come meet up with you so much easier!! in fact was wondering if you did fancy a day to preston during the summer hols- there's a play centre place called rascals and was gonna take the DC's- you're welcome to join us??

Kayz- hols sounds good- and fingers crossed DD2 sleeps thru again for you!!

SES- will try and look at pics of DS's christening.

Tink- shoes are lovely, i went to clarks to look for nursery shoes today, i'd prefer black, but didn't like the patent leather ones, also ahve the problem of tiny feet!! Going to the outlet a week on friday so fingers crossed they have some suitable. also getting both DC's school/nursery coats from next that day too.

Kayzr · 17/08/2009 19:18

Urgh!! I have eaten too much dinner and now can't move!!

Glask, DD2?? . He didn't really sleep last night. He didn't go to sleep until half 11 and woke at half 3 and then DS1 woke us at 6.

Just fed up of this now. He was sleeping through a few weeks ago and we are doing nothing differently now.

glaskham · 17/08/2009 19:23

oh it must have been friday night that you'd said he slept ok for you... and oops- typo there!!

Kayzr · 17/08/2009 19:32

Yeah he did Friday or Saturday night. I can't remember now. Hopefully he'll start again soon.

glaskham · 17/08/2009 19:39

aww- hope so too- for you!!

I'm hoping to ignore some of DD2's cries soon... i know she doesn't need feeding as much as she's taking right now... last night she was brill and went from 6.30 (with a dream feed at 10ish) and didn't wake till 3.30ish... but wasn't asleep again till nearly 5am, and still managed to wake me at 6.30am for a feed dispite being fed just before she finally fell asleep at 5ish...

Kayzr · 17/08/2009 19:52

We have got to stop giving in to him now. We have been feeding him when he wakes up but he doesn't need it. Just don't want him to wake up DS1.

Starshinetiger · 17/08/2009 20:38

Thanks Diege for responding and kind thoughts of others. I know it could be lots worse, but it just feels like all other babies her age are sleeping well. She had two good naps today - one in car on way round here and one of over 2 hours in her cot here (had to wake her at 4.15pm, or knew she would never sleep tonight). She fed to sleep during DS' stories tonight, but I knew it wasn't a full feed. She woke again about 7.45pm and then I fed her again, quite a bit. She's down now since 8.15 and hopefully she'll settle, but who knows how long for. Maybe I just have to accept that until she's weaned and on 3 meals, which give her day structure, she just won't sleep well?!

Kayz, Glask and Bumps, fingers crossed for good nights for all of you too. And everyone else as well, but you all seem to be doing okay without any thoughts winging your way

Right, off to enjoy about 30 mins chill out before I hit the sack myself - not in my house, so no need to worry about any housework, etc.

Have talked through our issues last night with DH now and so do feel better about that.

Thanks for your support as always ladies!

essenceofSES · 17/08/2009 21:21

Have posted on our FB group about Reigate meet up on Thurs.

Star - sorry you can't make it but I'm sure there'll be another.

Re York meet up, how about Sat 19th Sept or the afternoon of Fri 18th?

We had a great time yesterday even tough DH did get v v drunk!

Sorry for all the sleep issues. I hope we all have good nights tonight.

Lightning - v exciting re house!

Kayzr · 17/08/2009 21:26

I can do either Ses.

essenceofSES · 17/08/2009 21:29

Great Kay
IDOB - it's up to you then!
Anyone else around for York?

idreamofbeanie · 17/08/2009 22:24

Hi Ses - I can do either day. Friday would probably be better as it means I can get out of the house while DP works but if Saturday suits anyone else I can do that too. Glad the baptism went well.

Star - hope DD is still sleeping.

Hi Kay and Glask - hoping you both get a good nights sleep tonight.

Lightening - hope you put together a cunning plan that lets you move soon. How exciting!

Off to the midwife tomorrow - fingers crossed the baby has turned head down and that she tells me the pain in my pelvis is just me doing too much last week and NOT SPD. It's not bad just now, just uncomfortable, but I'm hoping it's not something that will get worse over the next few weeks. I've been so lucky so far only having a bit of heartburn and insommnia to deal with I'm paranoid something awful will hit me for the last weeks to make up for it .

Kayzr · 18/08/2009 08:31

Morning,

DH has swine flu apparently. He isn't in bed dying and apart from his headache he seems fine. But they said he has swine flu. I have to go and get his tamiflu when the chemist opens at 9.

glaskham · 18/08/2009 08:55

oh Kayz- so many people are being wrongly diagnosed by over-the-phone diagnosis.... however- DH was able to sit on the sofa playing his computer games the week he had it... though was very very bad first thing every morning.

Yet another bad night... DD2 didn't settle till nearing 10pm... then woke every 1.5hrs for a feed!! I'm shattered- and to top it off DH left for work at 6.30am, i haven't managed to get any more sleep since then as DD2's been chatting to herself in her cot, and DS & DD1 were playing very loudly in their room!!

Oh well... fingers crossed for tonight.

Moosy- parcel is all ready and waiting for the courier... just hope they come before DD2's nap so i can put the older 2 in their room and attempt a nap myself- wont put money on it though!!

tinkistheresidentshopper · 18/08/2009 09:59

Morning all, DPs sister was thrown from a horse yesterday and is stuck at home feeling miserable with a bruised back. I want to send her some flowers to cheer her up - can anyone recommend a website?

glaskham · 18/08/2009 10:16

maybe try interflora for one local to her?...

essenceofSES · 18/08/2009 10:25

Morning!

IDOB - if you phone an interflora florist, they'll be able to do it all over the phone and get them to her today. Otherwise, I have used M&S website before but don't think they'll deliver same day. Hope she's not too badly injured.

Kay - hope DH escapes with a mild dose.

tink - great shopping

Glask - sorry for bad night.

glaskham · 18/08/2009 10:28

ses- i'm used to it now... doesn't stop me moaning though!! haha!! when she came home from SCBU she'd go 6hrs in one stretch, then since she had hypothermia at 4wks old, she's not done it since- most i can hope for so far is about 4-5hrs in one go!!

idreamofbeanie · 18/08/2009 10:56

Thanks Glask and Ses - I've ordered them from Interflora. She isn't badly injured, thank god, just very bruised and sore but I think it's a shock. She hasn't had a bad fall in ages.

Diege · 18/08/2009 11:14

Morning! Just back from J's 6-9 week check. All well, though as they don;t have a hv at the surgery, we need to go to dreaded weigh-in clinic this afternoon to 'complete' it.
IDOB, that's kind of you to send flowers, I'm sure they'll be appreciated. Interflora sound a good bet - I'd avoid Next based on past experiences!
KAYZ, really hope it's not the swine flu, though if dh doesn;t have a fever it's unlikely that it is Maybe just a really bad case of MFLU??
TINKS, also been doing some boden shopping here; got dds ankle boots, and ds some bits including teddy fleece suit. If you plan to buy mini-boden shoes for dd1, I'd say don;t leave it too late as they tend to go out of stock first.
Sorry for bad night GLASK, though you seem in good spirits. I feel a little guilty for J ging through the night so early on (though am owed it after horrors of dd1).
I see there's another York meet-up planned!! I could make the Sat, though not the Friday due to school run etc. Would come on train sat morning with J in sling, though if I'm the only one who can just make the sat don't change on my account!

glaskham · 18/08/2009 11:19

Diege- there's a chance i may be able to make the saturday too... but not certain as it'd mean my mum having DS & DD1 yet again... she had them last saturday, is taking them away thursday night to sunday night this weekend, and then is having all 3 DC's one day the next weekend... feel like i'm taking advantage!!

idreamofbeanie · 18/08/2009 11:20

Hi Diege - I'm happy to do the Sat if that means you can come along. I'd love to meet J and it'll be good to see you again. Have to admit to sneaky wish that baby will be here by then - I know first babies aren't often early but I'm getting quite bored of this pregnancy lark. No patience !

Good luck at the dreaded weigh in.

idreamofbeanie · 18/08/2009 11:21

Sorry Glask - xposted but would be lovely to see you again too!

glaskham · 18/08/2009 11:26

It'd cost me £30 for a return from blackpool... would arrive at 10.20ish and leave at 2.10ish...

glaskham · 18/08/2009 11:26

or actually a 3.10ish train may be better- nearly 3hrs on the train though!!
