Had a VERY quiet day yesterday. Could feel the baby's shoulders wriggling very low down, but almost NO BHs. Pah. My bump is stupidly low down, and I can't balance my plate on it at tea-time anymore!

SPD not really painful anymore, though I can feel a lot of movement in the joint at the front.

Anyway, I've decided I don't want the baby to come out now. I just want to curl up in bed on my own for a month or so. Although... I am seriously enjoying all the spicy food and pineapple. Tomorrow I'm going to attempt a very hot kofta curry (all I'm getting from it is fat and geographic tongue, but bollocks anyway!).

Got back on Saturday and seem to have settled in well. My DS (2.9) adores his little borther and is being sooooooooo helpful... Im not tempting fate but it really does seem easier second time round....

Afternoon ladies. Quick post to add my new arrival to the list - baby girl born 1 Aug at 00.45, 9lbs exactly and no name yet! I wonder if that makes us the first "August" baby?? Saturday was my birthday too, what a great present!

All went well with the delivery but it was quick - waters broke at 7.30 (whilst putting DS1 to bed), contractions started around 8.40, by 9.20 they were between every 3-5 mins so got myself together to go to the hospital, just over 2 hrs after being admitted she was born!! Was quite a shock but we're all so so thrilled with her, esp my 2 boys!

Hope all continues to go well for the rest of you and look forward to seeing you on the other side!

On another thread it says that makka had a baby boy yesterday by Em CS in the end.

That's me 40+1 now and no signs of anything happening.

All the curry did was to give me horrendous heartburn so I couldn't sleep!!

How wonderful, 3hotcrossbuns. Many congratulations and good luck thinking of a name. Sounds like a pretty fab birth, as births go. I think you must be the 1st August birth, unless others haven't updated yet and their babies were born before 00.45! I'd guess your chances are pretty good. Happy birthday, as well.

Due date tomorrow and no signs of anything happening here. Had mw today, everything fine...baby only partially engaged today but she said that makes no difference and it probably bobs in & out with being my second.

I cant wait until wednesday now!! I am being induced at 8am (aslong as there is a bed!!) so should realistically have the twins by the end of the week

My Mum has just come out of surgery so wont be able to have DS while I am in labour but luckily his favourite lady from playgroup has offered to have him for me.

Cant believe we are all nearly there now, although this pregnancy has been tiring I cant believe how quickly it has actually gone

well off in the morning for my section ,got to be at the hospital at 7am,have had enough of hospitals after being up their for 5 hours yesterday waiting to see the drs etc for my pre-op checks.

It is getting a lot more real and I am starting to get excited , although still grumpy that I am sooo massive, unable to move and I too have to be hoisted up off the sofa. Got final bits of 'nesting' done today, which involved actually opening up the tens machine rental packet (which I received in the post 3 wks ago!) and hilarously hoisted myself up the ladders into the loft to get remainder of baby stuff down that I forgot last time... DH was not impressed when he caught me waddling around up there.

still no names here either, although a Mum I know who has just had a baby a week ago has just used DH's 1st choice, not sure of the etiquette on that as they will go to one of the same playgroups... but we might have to use the same name if it is a boy (as DH always wins the boys arguments!)

anyway, roll on the August babes.. how exciting. GOOD LUCK everyone

Went for my BP monitoring this morning, and again, it's completely fine, but now protein has gone to 2+ (on Friday was 1+) so they seem to be a bit concerned that I might have an infection and I have to watch carefully for pre-eclampsyia symptoms. They took some blood again too, even though I just had it done last Weds. I'm just really really tired all the time and feel nauseous.

37 weeks tomorrow. Bought my raspberry leaf capsules today and have managed two (bottle says 3-6 per day, one at a time though).
