ooh, best of luck for tomorrow martine!
hawkmoth - that really is immensely crappy timing. glad you've got them to bed for a bit though, hope you can put your feet up for a bit this afternoon.
yank - don't be embarrassed! much better to get these things checked out, good that they were understanding about it & your BP is still ok.
sheena - those signs sound promising! hope things get going properly soon.
went to the diabetes clinic this morning - joint thing run by an endocrinologist and an obstetrician. they're happy with how i'm getting on, which is great didn't see dietician as she was off sick today, but she's going to ring me to make an appointment asap. in the meantime, they've referred me to the nutritionist (i think? not really sure what the difference between a nutritionist and a dietician is!) cos of my BMI, seeing them on thursday. back to the diabetes clinic once a week until baby is here.
have also got my appointment with the perinatal psychiatrist on wednesday, so this week will be a busy one. am reading the posts from those of you with experience of PND with interest, & want to do what i can to avoid it as i know i tick about every risk factor box going! hope we can all support each other a bit through MN as well.
best news from today is that they were a bit more positive about the whole birth centre issue (with the caveat that it wasn't their decision to make) - basically said that if we wanted the midwives who run it to nail their colours to the mast now, they would say i couldn't go there, but if the diet control continues well then there is potential for them to change their mind. they gave me the name and phone number of the manager so me, DP and my doula are going to make an appointment to go and speak to her in a couple of weeks.
got the gym ball out last night and had a nice bounce, got a bit of a shock this morning though when i looked down and there was a good couple of inches of space underneath my boobs that hadn't been there for the past few weeks!
