Can I gatecrash a second please? First congrats to all those who have had their babies, and good luck to those waiting.

Just wondered if anyone had heard from Katz at all? I know she hasn't replied to my e-mail/text from yesterday (about something else) and then noticed this. All very exciting - wishing her well.

katzguk · 20/05/2005 10:15

Well, if you need any help today, before he can get home just ring. I am around all day. Going to Surrey tonight, but not till after DH finishes work. Even if it is just collecting DD for you, or taking you in car anywhere. Please don't hesitate to call if you need anything, okay. And good luck!!!

mrsflowerpot · 20/05/2005 10:35

OH my goodness - another one . Congratulations Berolina and Mr B! Can't believe we have 3 already!

I've just come back from seeing the consultant and it's looking hopeful for a VBAC - placenta well out of the way, baby spot on size wise for dates, absolutely no contraindications for normal delivery at all. I have to see him again in 3 weeks but he said that unless he can see something then that tells him it's a definite no-go, then he's inclined to let me go to 41 weeks and wait for labour. Which is all v positive - was more than half expecting to come out clutching appointment for c-section.

Hope you're all well this morning, will have to check in much more regularly now it's moving so fast!

Cooperoo · 20/05/2005 10:59

WOW another baby born. Congratulations Berolina! I was only asking after you and now we know! How exciting. I certainly wasn't expecting all these babies so soon. I must pack my bag......
Kat - Glad you are hanging on in there. All these contractions are sure to be doing something. Good Luck.
Mrs F - Glad to hear about your VBAC and that all is OK. How exciting.
Tessiebear - Sorry you have been down. Hope things are looking better for you.
Jonah - Some of my midwives have measured my bump but the consultant here doesn't agree with it and so doesn't. He has a good feel and says he can tell from that. I have been given no indication about the size of this one either. I think it is so hard to tell they try not to make any comments.
Hi to Uki. Glad you are still with us too.
I would have been on line sooner but was tied up with dd and her friend. My friend (the one I have been boring you all about who is leaving) is currently 12 weeks preg and had just had her scan on Mon and started telling people. Last night she started bleeding - alot and was terrified. She has been doing so much and very stressed with the move etc and was sure this was it and she was losing her baby. I obviously was sick with worry too. They couldn't get her in for a scan until 1130 this am but thank goodness everything is OK and the baby is fine and moving and heartbeat good and strong. I have had her dd all morning to give her a little break and we are all so relieved. I wasn't going to post but it is such good news and I am over the moon. Has stopped me sobbing about her leaving now too! Talk about gaining some perspective. We are going to have a lovely meal tonight and give her a good send off. They think a fibroid may have caused the bleed but are unsure. She suffered a m/c last year at Christmas and so was obviously scared.
Love and luck to you all esp Kat at the moment......Where is Lynny though??

bubbaloo · 20/05/2005 11:28

glad you got good news at your appointment mrsf-must be a relief to know you can now hopefully have your vbac and great news too coop about your friends baby being ok.its always a worry but even more so in the early days so im really pleased for her
just had a call from my friend in oz who wanted to know if i'd had the baby already.then again...anything can happen,as we've seen over the last couple of days
hope everyone's doing ok-wonder who's next

welshmum · 20/05/2005 11:46

Glad your friend had good news Coop - bleeding in pregnancy just makes your heart freefall.
I know this doesn't begin to compete with all the lovely baby news BUT I'm terribly excited about spending tonight with Ewan McGregor, will have to pace myself though or I'll be next (drifts off in to idle fantasy about Ewan taking her to hospital and holding her hand until dh arrives......)

Going to see him in the first night of Guys and Dolls tonight KVG. Am already way too excited about it.

mrsflowerpot · 20/05/2005 13:54

Oh I am so jealous of you seeing Guys and Dolls Welshie - really wanted to take my mum to see this. Have a good drool at Ewan for me

Cooperoo · 20/05/2005 14:13

I LOVE Ewan McGregor. I have a signed photo of him that I got through a RAF charity thing, sadly not claimed in person. His brother is a RAF pilot so I am still hoping to bump into him some day if we ever get to a flying base again. Droooool.
I think Charley is without a computer but I am not sure....
With all this excitement I am monitoring every twinge now. It is making me really impatient which is a guarantee that this baby will be late.
Hope you are OK Kat.

JonahB · 20/05/2005 14:45

Afternoon ladies,

Thanks for all your helpful advice about the measurement thing. I feel a lot better now.

Glad its not just me filling up with tears at every new arrival .

Good luck to you Katz. Hope it's all moving along for you now....

Coop, glad your friend is okay. Early prgy is such a worrying time.

Ooh, Welshie, getting to see Ewan in the flesh! I?m v. jealous. You know, I?m sure I read somewhere that he is really attracted to heavily prgt women

I've stupidly agreed to cook for some friends tonight. G-d knows what i was thinking, my energy levels are at zero, going to Sainsbury's this am was a struggle. Luckily they're good mates, so won't expect anything too Jamie Oliver. I've also FINALLY finished my flat packing, and was happily there at 11pm last night, filling all the drawers with vast amounts of baby paraphanalia. Now all i have to do is pack the bag....

LipstickMum · 20/05/2005 15:12

I was curious about the Ewan thing too. I'm very relieved to hear you're not spending an evening with him in person, I couldn't cope with my I don't think!!

What's happening with your birth Welshie? Have you been given a C section date, did I miss that...?

Charley isn't online atm. Not sure where Lynny is.

Quite tired today, for no real reason, apart from pregnancy of course

lummox · 20/05/2005 15:40

Good grief - 3 June babies already.

Congratulations to all three families.

We have spent the last couple of days moving house, so the two sudden arrivals really spurred us on to get the packing done - I had horrible visions of going into labour with the house unpacked and DH having to divide his time between me and the removals.

Fortunately junior did stay put for the move and now it feels like all there is to do is wait. Seems a bit strange.

Hope all is well for everyone - particularly Katzguk and Junior Berolin, Cobweb and Uwila.

welshmum · 20/05/2005 16:01

JonahB - they should be cooking for you at this stage surely!

LipstickMum · 20/05/2005 16:54

At some point we will require a 'Post Natal' thread I'm not sure I'll be able to keep up with it, if it's anything like as fast as this one! Hopefully it will take us all a while to emerge from the fug of birth and new arrivals etc!

More decorating to do...

Thanks for letting us know, Lee. Hope all is well with Lynny soon.

I've updated our stats with our latest baby news - I figure I can take responsibility for keeping this updated given I should be one of the last to deliver Someone else may need to take over if I go early though!

Anyway, let me know what you think - latest baby stats

Lummox, are you back from France now? If so, and with Scraggy safely home from hols, let's all stay in the country for the next while, ladies!

gwenynbee · 20/05/2005 19:26

Dear Ladies, thank you again for your continuing warm welcome! I must try and read the threads daily - I am hoping that by the end of next week I'll feel like going online - after a full day at work in front of a pc, the last thing I want to do is come home and switch the computer on! Roll on Maternity Leave!!

Still not very organised, no moses basket/cot/puschair as of yet.....it doesn't seem real to do these big things yet! I am so laid back I am horizontal - no lie at the moment - I've been waiting for this surge of energy you're meant to have for months, and can't wait for this nesting instinct to kick in - the house is a tip! (Doesn't help that I am having a new fitted kitchen put in though!)

Started active birth classes last week though - LOL. I don't feel like being very active at the moment, let alone when I am in the throws of labour!

My bf and I are off to "aromatherapy and reflexology class for labour" tomorrow - great for me, but horrible for poor bf to have to rub my manky feet for a couple of hours!

CONGRATULATIONS TO COBWEB! Wishing you, your family and new addition a happy, healthy and successful future!

KVG! I am always late everywhere, so I my money is on you first - if my ds takes after his Mommy! 5 weeks and a couple of days to go.....not that I am counting or anything!

I am going to start supping on that Raspberry Leaf Tea this weekend, does anybody have any experience of this? I've been told that it tastes like an ashtray - but hey I'd drink my own wee if it was a guarantee for an easy labour/cure for heartburn!

I am quite relaxed about everything else really - the only thing that I am worried about is epidurals really! The very thought really freaks me out.

I am sure that I have gone on for long enough! Thank you again!
