Katy, I am so sorry to hear what is happening. It must be so hard going through a long process like this. Take good care of each other.

alfiesmadmother · 03/07/2009 13:50

Am sorry Katy Are you getting plenty of support? What an absolutwly terrible thing to go through. I haven't been around for a while, sorry and really sorry to all those who have had bad news.

Well, I am over 12 weeks today, got a scan date and the midwife gave me the date 13th Jan. I feel a lot better now and can't believe how I have sped through the sick phase. Unbelievabley I can feel the baby 'kickin'- and being number 4 this is definitely not wind, it is little taps, which feels great. I can also feel my uterus poking up and it often goes tight. Being number 4 I guess my body knows what to do! Can't wait for my scan in a couple of weeks.

Hope some others are feeling less sick and tired and you have all been coping with the heat. Am already looking forward to my maternity leave.

sleepingalot · 03/07/2009 17:43

So sorry Katy, I was really hoping you would have a happier result than this.

Please let us know how your wedding goes. I hope you have a lovely day. x

mowmi · 03/07/2009 21:35

Katy - so sorry you're going through this. Hopefully you'll be back with better news soon x

DS only does 3 days at nursery but I did feel guilty Dal21, especially as went shopping in the morning & were lots of mums and toddlers out and about. Really missed him, but DH needed to buy suits & DS would have been soooooo bored by the hour++ spent in Next, and lovely restaurant was definately a toddler free zone!! We picked him early together with an ice cream straight after the lunch, he was so excited to have both of us at nursery. Sure nursery staff were thinking I must be preg and we'd been for a scan together, tum was huge after yummy food!

Paying the price today for overeating rich food yesterday though, been quite nauseaous.

Have lovely weekends all.

iateallthecreameggsyummy · 04/07/2009 14:04

Hi everyone! Thought id best post as bethoo had been asking after me.

Im very well will be 11 weeks on Tuesday! Had a scan 8 days ago and all was well dating me at 9+3. Healthy heartbeat and baby measured 25.9mm!

Not been feeling pregnant the last 3 days but today have been feeling sick which for me is a positive reminder all must be ok!! I wont get any more scans now till 20 weeks .

Hope your all doing well, ive already told my manager when im going on maternity leave and shes been very supportive as ive now had risk assessment etc and no one at work lets me carry anything overly heavy!

Keep having to remind myself its to early to start showing yet but im getting bigger!! I seem to be getting bigger below my boobs and seem to have a bump from there!?

Will try to catch up on everyones news when i have 5 mins as am working 3-10 tonight then 6:30am-3 tommorrow! feels like 24 hours at work tbh! Plus its the truckfest this weekend so am expecting lots of customers! [cry]

take care everyone! xx

Liskey · 04/07/2009 14:10

Sorry to hear your news Katy - lots of hugs.

Haven't been on for a while so Hi to everyone - and Iate from conception thread - pleased to hear things are going well for you. Hope yeveryone else is doing ok.

I'm trying not to work myself up into too much of a nervous wreck before my scan on Wed - haven't had one yet as midwife and GP wouldn't refer me to EPU - Despite me saying I didn't feel pregnant and was convinced I'd had another mmc. Me and DH are counting down the days now - I've also booked for a private NT scan as Yorkshire doesn't offer them.

Biccy · 04/07/2009 14:50

What time is your scan on Wednesday Liskey? My first one is the same day, at 7.30pm. I too am counting down the days, and this weekend seems to be going to slowly! I know once I'm into the week I'll be okay, as have busy day with dd on Monday, then am at work Tuesday/Wednesday.

Liskey · 04/07/2009 15:08

Mines at 10.15 - don't think I'll be sleeping well the night before! Time seems to have stood still waiting to get to this point - at least I'm further along than last time.

I'm half convinced I'm going to go and I'll be told it was all a mistake as I really don't feel pregnant - no ms.

I'm at work on Monday/Tuesday so that'll be good - but I'm still a bundle of nerves.

I'll be keeping my fingers crossed for you Biccy.

Dizzyclarebear · 04/07/2009 16:39

Liskey, I felt the same, also no MS - thought they would tell me I couldn't fit in any of my clothes because I'd been having too much pasta...

Went to see Blur in Hyde park last night - FYI pogoing to Song 2 in ill fitting bra has brought back sore boobs which had just gone.. Does anyone else feel far more vunerable now or am I just being stupid? Suddenly aware last night of how many drunk (and else) everyone around me was and how much they were throwing themselves about, felt v nervous...

Biccy · 04/07/2009 17:07

Good luck Liskey, I will log on during the day to see if you've been able to update us with how it's gone. Not sure I'll be able to concentrate much at work, waiting for an evening appointment. Got my Oscar booked for week Monday.

Dizzyclare I can imagine how you must have felt surrounded by mad people boinging about!

Iate thanks for updating us on how you are. Glad you had a good scan again.

sunshinejanuary · 04/07/2009 20:05

Hello All,

Kay, so sorry about your news, i had been keeping my fingers crossed for you.

I am afraid i have not had time to catch up with the whole thread, good to see everyone chatters so much!

Well, i am 14 weeks tomorrow and still being sick, but i do feel a little less tired all the time. Having said that i slept for three hours this afternoon. A luxury for a first timer i am sure a lot of you with children already dont get to have!

lilacpink · 04/07/2009 21:48

dizzyclare when I was preg with DD there was a summer roadshow event that I'd already agreed to go to (alcohol-fuelled event). I know how you felt, I ended up staying at the back and looking around in case anyone was near and would walk/run into me. I'm careful this time too as I feel vulnerable, but a few times after work I've sprinted for a bus in a busy area without thinking, and all has been fine.

Anyone else have problems standing for ANY period of time? I had low blood pressure with DD, so wondered if it was starting early or just normal

ILoveDolly · 04/07/2009 23:08

Hi all, back from an extended no computer break.

I am feeling immensely tired all the time so standing is a bit of a prob for me as I just start to droop and feel sooo uncomfortable.

I'm a little bit gutted about my scan - they sent me a date when i am on holiday so I have had had to postpone seeing the bean! I'll be 13 weeks by then. So annoying, not my first but I'm still keen to get a look - and check he's well natch.

bethoo · 05/07/2009 11:45

well i have my scan tomorrow morning so just waiting for that now.
feel good as took dogs for a walk this morning and got home and literally 5 minutes later it poured down! so now i have two chilled dogs instead of the little one running around like a blue arsed fly like he was yesterday.
still feel a bit sicky but no so severe now, just eaten a whole melon.
we went shopping yesterday and filled the trolley with loads of fruit and veg so the fridge is full of lovely colours. my dp has never had a sharon fruit before so he will be trying that later
hope you are all well.

sazlocks · 05/07/2009 13:30

Hi all - pleased to have got the first scan out the way and seen a jumping bean. Just waiting for the nuchal scan in a couple of weeks. Now 11 + 1 and still feeling sickly, being sick and tired but not quite as much so am hoping will disappear soon.
Its good being able to share this time with you all. Most people in RL now know and it has been nice to tell people. In any case I am starting to show already so it won't be long before people guess.
Look forward to hearing more of your scan news this week.

totalmisfit · 05/07/2009 14:03

i'm another one who hasn't put on any weight but has a huge tummy! i've actually lost 1lb so i have no idea where all this extra tummy flab is coming from. i can still just about do up my jeans as most of the flab is above the waistband - like a beer gut. yuk. The nausea seems to be wearing off - i'm 11 weeks today, but i'm still repelled by the sight of bananas and other healthy snacks.

time seems to be dragging on as i wait for my scan. dd (3.4) is driving me up the wall. took her to church this morning and she headbutted the vicar in the crotch. on purpose. twice.

i don't know if i'll be able to show my face in there again tbh!

sunshinejanuary · 05/07/2009 15:22

Hi Bethoo, crossing my fingers for your scan tomorrow.
Sazlocks, glad you got to see your little one. It makes it all seem so much more real!
I have got nothing achieved this weekend, just keep sleeping! Hop eeveryone is keeping well.

crumpette · 05/07/2009 17:28

Hi everyone!
Well today, I have had some bleeding, but it's browish red. It was there yesterday as well. Hmmm... Haven't done anything about it, I figured if it's more brown then it's older blood, right, and bright red is the worrying one?

Other than that, work continue to be morons, I had to email them again about my salary cut (contract base salary, not cutting bonus or anything) and sent it to my manager and to the top top director, pointing out that I was back on terms less favourable to those on which I left for maternity leave. I also included that I was pregnanct again. I didn't want to but I figured then that they'd have to reinstate my salary or it would be a maternity/pregnancy discrimination issue.

Needless to say I was called into an office and told 'oh I think there's been a mistake.. must be because you didn't start back on the 1st of the month' yeah right! But they know that I am pregnant, and have had a very frosty reception to that news, but hey at least I can let it all hang out, no more tummy sucking in tights. (assuming everything's ok!)

ARgh otherwise, went shopping yesterday- error- saturday shopping+crowds of annoying people+heat+sickness+headache+no water= bad day

hope everyone's ok - totalmisfit your DD sounds hilarious!!!
