DS2 is still fast asleep!!

The football was great last night!!! Thierry Henry is lovely!!! Despite being a bloody traitor!!

bumpsnowjustplump · 28/05/2009 08:12

Morning all. Ses I would love to pop over to yours if the children have got rid of there colds by then. I know how to get to redhill as my brother works there but may need directions to your house..

Kay TH only left because he was splitting from his wife and wanted to set up home with me but I had to say no because I was pg with dd.....

Hope you all had better nights than me dd and ds are full of cold and were coughing and spluttering all over the shop.... Roll on the sun (if it ever arives)

sorky · 28/05/2009 08:25

LB!!! LMAO.

Bad night here too LB, Dd2 fed 8, count them, 8 times last night, every friggin' hour.

Must look it too, as Dh gave me a kiss when he was leaving and said "don't worry, I'm off after today"

Moosy never say never, especially on somewhere that archives your convo's

Ses good to hear Ds fell asleep on Dh . It's just a little thing, but it gives hope that he'll not be permanently attached to you doesn't it?
Give it a couple of weeks and I bet you'll even get to go to Sainsburys without the baby for a few things
Small steps and all that

Hope you had a Happy 24th Birthday Diege! (24 is my secret age )

Well having been inspired by Glask yesterday and all her cleaning, I did the upstairs, downstairs and the ironing yesterday
Got to tackle the Playroom, which is probably a bigger job than yesterdays altogether......I may be gone some time

sorky · 28/05/2009 08:27

TH, I would, most def!!
Very good match last night Kayz, ManU seemed very lack lustre.

juleswastink · 28/05/2009 09:05

morning

fab news moosy very exciting

kay - bugger about buggy hop u get tyre sorted

i have ordered another bedside table for brackens not happy with style of other one.

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 09:25

ARGH!!!!!!!!!! I have no bloody idea where DH has put the axle from the wheel!!! So I can't put it back on the pushchair!!!

Diege · 28/05/2009 09:29

Morning! Had a lovely birthday thanks (I like the idea of being 24 again Sorky ). Had lunch out with mum and dds, plus nephew, then had hairdressers in afternoon (roots, hightlights), then takeaway and Apprentice in evening. Nothing like birhtdays of yesteryear, but suited me fine
MOOS, many congrats on your scan! Great to reach that 12 week milestone, you must be feeling very excited
SES, another vote here for soothers/dummies/dodies (whatever they call them these days!). I found them really useful to distinguish between hunger and tiredness cries, and also didn't effect latch with dd1. DD3 was (and still is) a thumb sucker, which I suppose is the same principle, just good because thumbs don't drop out at night!
TINKS, hope you find a table that's better for you.
KAYZ, have you asked if they can gel-fill the tyres for you? Lots of people round here have had to resort to that who have the air filled tyres (we live by canal, with lots of prickly bushes etc)and it's the only thing that seems to stop the persistant punctures!
Off to see mw this afternoon - no idea what position his highness is in today! (have a feeling oblique). Interestingly, have been told that another local hospital will do natural breech deliveries ; something to think about but OMG wouldn't it really hurt!! .
Right, better get dressed. Loads to do today, and dds at child minders till 6 so no excuses

sorky · 28/05/2009 09:44

Moos I've just seen your scan pic and I'm gonna say Boy! Just wanted to get that in

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 28/05/2009 09:56

Glad you had a good birthday Diege
Hope your little pickle behaves for MW this afternoon. If she's not sure about his position, will be worth trying to get a presentation scan to be certain.

DS is sleeping in his sling again at the moment - 3rd morning in a row!
Also pleased that his sleep on DH last night didn't seem to affect him sleeping last night.
Am still keeping an open mind re soother. (Actually Diege, I'd never heard anyone else other than irish rellies call them dodies before. Think that's quite cute). Will see what happens today.

BNJP (LB!) - see how your DC go but I have nothing planned for next Friday. Don't know if anyone else localish is about(GYo, Gruff, anyone else?) I live about 1 mile north of J7 of M25. I can post details on FB group if things look likely to go ahead.

idreamofbeanie · 28/05/2009 10:13

Morning all, my phone and broadband is being connected today - hooray!

Moosy - yah for a great scan

Kayz - I hope you get the wheel sorted, it's too nice a day to be stuck indoors. I'm staring longingly through the office window at the sun. Roll on ML!

Sorky - poor you, I hope you get a better night tonight.

Diege - happy birthday for yesterday.

Ses - for DS sleeping on DH for a couple of hours and I'm very impressed you only have 8lb to go. I weighed myself yesterday and I've put on about 12lb so far which I think is okay but I feel much bigger than that. Less of a bump than a barrel and it just seemed to appear overnight .

LB - LMAO!

Jules - glad to see the shopping hasn't slowed down.

It's so hot here today (I'm scottish so I'm not really designed to cope with temps much above freezing) I realised I'm going to have to go shopping for a few more light tops. I'm wearing a lovely green top from Glask today but I think I'll need a couple more to see me through the summer. I feel the need for a new MN name too, hmmm......

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 10:15

SUN?????????????? What??????????? We have no sun at all. Horrible and grey here.

idreamofbeanie · 28/05/2009 10:17

That weird Kayz but it wasn't that sunny when I got up this morning so I'm sure the sun is heading your way soon.

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 10:19

Please remind me why I agreed to make DS1 a pompom!! It's taking ages!

idreamofbeanie · 28/05/2009 10:29

Kayz - I always promise the kids I babysit for I'll do those types of things and forget how long it takes. Then they have usually lost interest in the whole idea by the time I finish.

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 10:35

Yeah he doesn't seem to care now.

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 10:57

DS2 is asleep!!!!! Albeit at my feet on the floor but he is finally asleep.

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 13:08

I am going to die!! The P&T is buggered(excuse my french) and I had to go out and DS1 was asleep. So he went in the buggy and DS2 went in his sling and it was so bloody hot and he weighs a blooming ton!!!

juleswastink · 28/05/2009 13:57

GYo · 28/05/2009 14:31

Hello!

Good luck at MW Diege!

Bugger about the P&T Kayz, hope you can fix it. DH is having similar puncture issues with his bike, its a pain!

Ses- you really sound like you are totally relaxed into motherhood and really enjoying it!

I'd love to come to the Mini meet at your place but I cant do 5th June as my mum is venturing down to visit DD. As much as I think a mini meet is a better offer i'd better not cancel my mum! Maybe next time though- thanks for the invite.

I was given a voucher for at home spa treatments as a birth gift from a friend (nice change from baby gros!) and I've booked that in for a couple of weeks. Having a massage and manicure!

Also booked in to hairdressers for next monday to have my highlights done. Not been done since I was 35wks pregnant so DESPERATELY bad!

Im so excited about hair\massage etc. I really do need to get out more!

Right, DD is awake and DH and I are off out.

Back later.

Diege · 28/05/2009 14:55

Hello! Back from midwife. He's now head down, but not enagaged. Mw thinks it's an 'unstable lie', so he could be tranverse/breech as I type. A combination of a very active baby and a knackered uterus she thinks Bloody cheek! So,plan is for them to keep an eye on me, going to antenatal day unit next week if still unstable. She wasn't sure what they do with unstable lie - just to be they'd admit you, then when head down break waters, but doesn't know if that's still policy. My preference would be to wait until I go into labour, then assess, so will see what they have to say. Other than early section, can't see what else they'd try really. Baby seems fine though (despite heart rate going through roof when she sqeezed his neck to make sure it wasn;t a bottom), measuring 37 weeks at 36 plus 4 days. Still a bit anxious, but whatever happens I'm heading towards the end now and in less than 4 weeks the whole thing will be over!
GYO, perfectly normal to get excited about hair/massage! Nice to get voucers to treat yourelf instead of the usual baby stuff!
KAYZ, nooo, don;t say that's the last we've seen of your apple p&T!!!! Is it just the wheels that need attention, or something more 'structural'? What a pain for you!
TINKS, cupboard is lovely - haven't seen one that that before!
Just had a parcel myself from mini-mode - some pull on trousers for baby, and a really cute cotton all-in -one type suit for dd3. Looks very cute, but it may be dismissed by her as too babyish especially as the 'big gals' as she calls them have had some very smart dresses delivered this morning from Boden. They're back around 5.30ish so must try and get some more marking done as I have all 3 of them plus dd2's friend for the day tomorrow!

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 15:03

It is the wheel we think but it is driving me mad. We don't have any money until next Wednesday and we need a new inner tube!! V V annoyed with it.

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 15:07

Oh and DS2 is now 17lb 3oz and the HV says we have got to give him baby rice with mashed banana. She is also coming round next Tuesday to see us.

sorky · 28/05/2009 15:15

You don't have to do anything of the sort Kayz.
Look at what happened with BF'ing.
Wean him when you want to. When is he 6 months?

Kayzr · 28/05/2009 15:17

The 12th of June. She is coming to check on his weaning. I know she will drive me mad!!

sorky · 28/05/2009 15:21

Goodness, really? Wow that six months has flown

I'm def BLW again, I just can't be bothered to puree stuff

Though I do enjoy watching Dh try to feed them hehe x

I've got a hankering for Cinnamon Toast after Betty's
