God i've been on here longer than a year!! I came on a couple of weeks before i started ttc as a surrogate which was in april!! how odd!! I thought i joined loads later than the rest of you!!

Hello everyone!

Another Jellycat fan here. Gruff cub has a fluffy yellow duck and blue cord elephant.

As of yesterday I have hot water - our boiler is fixed - wahoo! My Dad got engineers from boiler make out and now we have to send letter of complaint out to old plumber and refuse payment as we already paid them £928 and now they want a further £600 at least and the problem was actually there doing so we have a load of faf still do go through - but I have a bath

Gruff cub is doing ok - he has his good days and bad days with colic. At the mo his feeding has gone a bit strange - refusing breast after 20 mins of feeding but still chomping on his hand. Sometimes he will take formula top up and soemtimes he refuses that too. Has bf well today though so I hope it was just because it was his tummy hurting before.

Hi there Gyo - glad you had a good time with NCT people. I met up with mine yesterday too. Zach was pretty well behaved - had a bit of colic but Im getting much better at managing it now.

My FIL coming tomorrow to put down our lounge floor which is very exciting. Although that means I will be stuck in the nursery all day. Might try and brave an outing.

Friends last week bought this for DS.

Moos - we need an update!!

DS slept for just over 90mins in his sling this morning. This afternoon I'm just not sure what to do with him though. He's been almost constantly latched on but not necessarily feeding. He went in the moses basket but only lasted 15 mins and I've tried him in the sling again but he wasn't having it.
Any ideas? Should I just keep going and assume he's having a growth spurt? Should I try using a soother or will that affect his latch?

I'd try him with a dummy if you're sure he's not hungry Ses.

Unless your breasts are totally empty tho' I'd prolly just let him feed, but I'm a softie

Thanks Sorky. He's fallen off the boob now and is sleeping on my lap. I know if I try and move him he'll wake up and become unsettled. I'll keep going with letting him feed/soothe himself on me for the moment maybe...

A dummy shouldn't affect his latch ses- all 3 of mine have had a dummy and its never affected their latch. I always said i'd rather they had a dummy than used me as one- and they all liked to just stay latched purely for comfort...

The first growth spurt is normally at about 6wks then every 4-6wks after that IIRC.

The DC's are getting very hyper- and i'm using all my energy to type instead of scream at them to calm down- thank god its not long till bedtime. Though something tells me giving them ice-cream with strawberry sauce and choccy sprinkles for pudding wasn't a good idea!!

Have the in-laws arriving tomorrow afternoon- luckily DH is off so he can look after the DC's while i do a last min sort out!!
