anything happening here tonight?

Momino · 05/06/2009 20:25

sophietom, hope you're ok this evening.

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 05/06/2009 20:28

Hello all. Quick update. Baby Grump and I are still in hospital. She has jaundice, due to blood group clash. She's having phototherapy and we may be in for a few days. I'm pretty upset as this is far from the birth experience i wanted. Gutted about being in hospital but just want her better.

She's still beautiful, despite looking like a scrumpled up pumpkin.

Huge congrats running yay yay yay! And Lazzer too I think?

aw Grumpy and babygrump, best wishes for a speedy recover and home as soon as possible.

grumpy, please don't be upset, you'll be home before you know it and will have to face the mayhem of other DCs, cleaning, cooking, etc. it's another way to look at it

Blottedcopybook · 05/06/2009 20:58

Grumpy Listen, don't you dare whinge about being in hospital getting a break ;) I am actually SERIOUSLY regretting not staying in for a night after I had Greer because it would likely have been my last chance to rest!

My DCs have absolutely ran me ragged today. Remind me again why I had four..?

FiKelly · 06/06/2009 11:49

grumpy sorry baby grump has jaundice but make the most of the rest and time alone with her.. it's not for long I'm sure.

SpangleMaker · 06/06/2009 15:17

Congrats Grumpy and runningmonkey - at last!!

Sorry about babygrump's jaundice though, poor thing. Hope it's cleared enough for you to go home xx

rosielady · 06/06/2009 21:18

Well done Grumpy and Runningmonkey - congratulations to the both of you.

Sorry I've not had a chance to post much at all - you get caught up in the day to day and have been so tired - but all is well here and I hope everyone else is doing good.

ReeBee · 07/06/2009 13:21

Congrats Grumpy, running, and Lazzer fab news, am so excited and thrilled for you.

Sorry I haven't posted very much - haven't even attempted the post-natal thread yet - but a combination of Felix, visitors, very sore stitches and now a couple of days of baby blues have conspired against me!

I have to admit that not only do I love being a mum, but I am completely besotted with Felix.

Will post birth story when have some spare time but have DB, SIL and their DCs arriving in half an hour and need to feed Felix.

Looking forward to some more announcements on this thread soon. A week ago I was pacing round the house wondering whether I had a tummy bug or actual contractions (my mum thought it was hilarious when I texted her to say I thought I had a bug)...

pula, thanks for updating the birth list - I might have managed it in time for his first birthday!

detsy · 07/06/2009 18:29

Hooray grumpy running and lazzer!!
Big congratulatory hugs to you all - sorry not been on recently - just no time anymore and struggling to catch up at all!!

detsy · 07/06/2009 19:22

Grumps make the most of the opportunity to sleep when you want to!! Well if you can ignore the clatterings of a hospital ward. Can't wait to hear all about it once you are back home! x

Can't be many left to pop on here now - good luck to those that are still hanging in there - I know it gets very lonely at this stage! Will pop back in soon to see if any more littlies have arrived, can't be long now - big hugs and fast easy labour vibes to you xx

Blottedcopybook · 07/06/2009 19:24

So who are we still waiting on, then?

sausagenmash · 07/06/2009 20:20

Oooh congrats to Grumpy and Running - Grumps, don't fret about your LO and your time in hospital, I had 5 days in there and was glad of it (tea made for me whenever, nice electric bed that whizzed up and down, telly that stretched out from the wall blah blah blah) and not forgetting experts on hand to answer any questions and look after me and M to make her better. You're in good hands

FiKelly · 07/06/2009 20:37

isn't it amazing how our may babies started in april and have continued into june :-) just goes to show they come when they're ready on the whole but some really take their time [like mine given half a chance ;) ]

hang in there all those who are still waiting.. won't be too much longer now

Belgianchocolates · 07/06/2009 21:46

I was having a quick look at the most active threads and the due in June one was up there. I remember this time last month we were that chatty too , mostly because we were getting excited about the new and upcoming arrivals, were discussing every little sign we might be going into labour and wondering how we might speed the whole thing up. Look at us now though, almost all of us have got our lo's now and things have really slowed down because we're all busy and shattered at the same time! How things can change in such a short time

LoobyLou36 · 07/06/2009 22:14

Hope everyone is having a good evening. Just watching the apprentice you're hired and waiting for M to wake up for her feed. She's been quite unsettled today and last night woke for 4 feeds instead of sleeping for 6-7 hrs like the last 3 night - I knew it wouldn't last.

I'm off to the hospital tomorrow for GT test - got to be there for 9.30 so my aunt is coming over to take me and M as I can't drive till after my 6wk check. Got that on tues morning and then HV visit in the afternoon.
Wed I might go to the local BF meeting.

detsy · 07/06/2009 23:38

What happened to that lady (I think she was Asian) can't remember her name but she was a regular poster then her grandad got ill and don't think we heard from her again. Was thinking about her today and how she had got on - think it was her first baby? Does anyone know who I mean - god my memory is shot to pieces!!

Belg yeah I agree, i really miss the friendships and chat on here but no way I have the time (or energy) to chat like before. BIt sad really but for good reasons - guess its a bit like missing being pregnant when all we did was moan about it!

detsy · 07/06/2009 23:40

def bed now...

frazzledoldbag · 07/06/2009 23:48

come back d

frazzledoldbag · 07/06/2009 23:52

sorry was feeding and typing at same time detsy - I do know who you mean but can't remember her name either - it will come to me prob in middle of the night! Hope all ok with her.
How's you? Aren't these little blue ones fabulous?! Hope all well. Am also too busy and knackered to come and chat much but I do read through most days while doing other things - will try to make more effort. Am also trying to keep up on p.n thread too (am rubbish).

daizydoo · 08/06/2009 07:47

Detsy, I was wondering about Sweetbroody as well, also polony...

frazzledoldbag · 08/06/2009 10:50

aaaaaaah Sweetbroody, of course. Was annoying me that I couldn't remember.
Morning all by the way!

Jennster · 08/06/2009 11:06

Morning all.

Do you want to know a secret?

Jennster · 08/06/2009 11:11

No? Well I'll keep it to myself for a little while then.... [walks of sulking]

frazzledoldbag · 08/06/2009 11:14
