Hurray! Congrats Frazz - also to Cote too. (how much did he weigh in the end?)

SesHasFinallyBecomeAMum · 21/05/2009 18:08

Yay! Congrats Frazz

Belgianchocolates · 21/05/2009 18:12

hurray for frazz Sounds like once her labour got going it was quite a fast one too.

chocbunnies come back and have a moan with us. I don't think any of us hasn't had a moan on here in the last few weeks, because the end of pregnancy is hard work and a drag!

I've been to the osteopath today, because I really wanted to know what they thought about my posture/pelvis now I'm not pregnant anymore. Well, it was really good. It turns out I've got a small degree of scoleosis and one of my legs is a touch longer than the other, so together that tilts my pelvis and caused all the strain with the hormones and C's massive weight etc... It's really good to know what's wrong. In a few weeks' time once all the hormones swirling around have settled a bit I'll go back for some more treatment. I've had one session and now I'm not pregnant anymore it's so much more intense. I felt like I was getting crushed!

The osteo appointment ended up lasting an hour and a half, while it's normally 45min, so I was 45min late to pic up the dcs from school The school had tried phoning home, but DH didn't hear the phone and for some reason they didn't try his mobile.

Oh and I thought now the dcs were older I wouldn't be subjected to annoying Cbeebies programmes, but now Cbbc has got Tronji. Easily as irritating as the night garden or the fimbles [grrr]

ReeBee · 21/05/2009 18:21

Hurrah! Congrats frazz! Lovely news and a great name.

Congratulations too to HtheH and Cote - am really very now of everyone with their brand new babies!

I'm 41 + 1. Sigh. Choc, I appreciate you're fed up (and I feel your pain!) but look on the bright side - you're not overdue yet so you're not as pregnant as me! I think that some elephants are less pregnant than me....

Had friends for lunch today, long walk with the dogs, supermarket shopping so sod's law isn't doing it for me. Tomorrow is lazing and relaxing as was yesterday after my kind of sweep. Saturday I'm planning abseiling, sky-diving and then some bungee-jumping. Sunday I'm working through the entire kama sutra. Monday I'm giving up and having a good sob. Tuesday I'm speending 20 hours bouncing on the gym ball and mainlining curried pineapple. Wednesday I'm booked in for the start of induction discussions.

Belgianchocolates · 21/05/2009 18:23

reebee Lol at your self induction plans. I think that the sky diving and bungee jumping especially should be successful

MatthewAndBumpsMummy · 21/05/2009 18:33

big congrats to cote HtheH and frazzled

frazzledoldbag · 21/05/2009 18:40

Hi girls......god, I pop off for 24 hours to have my baby and come back to find about 6 pages to catch up on . Sorry I haven't read any of it yet and also sorry but I'd text detsy and belgian yesterday so they could update you all - must be something wrong with my phone.
Hugo was born after quick labour at 2.40pm yesterday afternoon (I was shopping at 10 am!). He is a darling milk monster - will post full details of his birth later when kids in bed. Pretty tired from all night feeding last night but feel amazing. Was a fab birth experience, loved the pool, - would do it all again in a minute. Anyway DD2 is loving poor H to bits so better go rescue him. x

Chica31 · 21/05/2009 18:41

Thanks for your support. Everything is fine. We went to the hospital and they put me on the heart rate monitor for half an hour then did a very detailed scan. All was great, I've been told I'm not eating enough. I'm just not hungry at the moment and I am often sick, even though the baby has dropped down. I've got another appointment at the hospital on Saturday so hopefully I might have some twinges by then.

Hang on in there every one, we will get these babies out soon!!!!!

frazzledoldbag · 21/05/2009 18:43

BTW self-induction top tip - Hot and Sour Soup from the chinese. Had a sudden craving for it and hey presto! baby. Also the reflexology point on inside of ankle - bloody sore but I reckon it helped too. Best go, back later. x

Chica31 · 21/05/2009 18:46

What other tips have you got for self induction? Bungee jumping does sound fun!

Blottedcopybook · 21/05/2009 18:49

Congrats Frazz!!!

Chica31 · 21/05/2009 18:49

Wow frazzledoldbag you sound amazing! Congratulations!!! A new baby 24 hours ago and already you are organised to get on here and post.

Chica31 · 21/05/2009 18:51

Did you want to eat anything during labour? What should I take, if anything?

runningmonkey · 21/05/2009 19:13

frazz congrats glad H finally arrived safely! Look forward to the full story and pics soon

chica glad all ok

Hi to all others am strugglin to type with claw hands so sorry for not namechecking all x x

Belgianchocolates · 21/05/2009 19:50

frazz How lovely to hear from you. Glad to hear we've got another quick labour on here. I can't find my phone anywhere and its battery must be dead by now, so I didn't get your message. Got no plans for tomorrow so I'll turn the house upside down til I find it.

I wonder what the average length of a MN due in May labour actually is? They're all so quick! We must be doing something good on here!

chica the advice is to eat light high carb snacks in labour while you feel hungry.

Gotta go now, baby crying + bedtime for the dcs.

reebee lol! you'll have to let us know which one actually works ;)

I've just uploaded my last bump pictures ever... taken today at 40wks + 6 days. Although i'm really uncomfortable and v relieved to not have another week of bump gurning to go I'm also quite sad to see it go?! weird isn't it? we want the babies out but then miss them being inside when they've gone... not looking forward to having a tummy like a saggy deflated balloon either. why can't our bellies go back quicker... last time i still looked 6months pregnant for ages after!

How's everyone elses post birth bellies doing?

FiKelly · 21/05/2009 21:35

btw i don't know if i'll have time to post in the am... we have to be at the hospital for 7.30am tomorrow. Because of the commuter traffic heading into bristol every morning from w-s-m we'll have to leave no later than 6.15am! just waiting up until 10pm to take my 1st pre med and then off for my last newborn feeding sleep! arrrgh can't believe that this time tomorrow it'll all be over and i'll be hopefully successfully bfeeding our new addition

pulapula · 21/05/2009 21:37

Hi Fi- already seen your bump photos. I know what you mean about missing your bump in a strange way. I was sure i still felt movements a few hours after my cs but was probably wind or something. Now I look at DS2 (who is still only really 39+2 as he came out early) and am amazed to think he could still be inside me- he seems massive.

My bump was massive for the first 5 or 6 days but has now gone down a lot. Also with other pg i seemed to have ripples of loose skin but this is just a bit of a jelly belly (quite cute really). My legs have also slimmed down (must have been water) so jeans that i couldn't get over my thighs a few days ago are now only an inch from being done up at the waist, so i'm hoping i can get out of my maternity jeans soon (as they are really falling down).

Good luck with the cs tomorrow. Although I was nervous before mine, it's all forgotten after that first cry. And remember to take things easy. I think i overstretched yesterday and had a sharp pain requiring some paracetomol when I hadn't taken any pain relief since Sunday (day 5).
