Frazzled what????!!

And blotted please tell, I'm sure we could all do with a good laugh and your dh need never know!

I am not going to bed now though until frazz says more!

euromum · 14/05/2009 20:51

Surely she has not given birth in the 45 mins between those posts?!

emmabemmasmom · 14/05/2009 20:54

Now THAT would be impressive!

euromum · 14/05/2009 20:56

Would indeed take the record for quick labours, even on this thread!

Febes · 14/05/2009 21:35

Frazz Come on..........
Blotted you too. Stop outs the pair of you.

I just talked to my mum and she arrives on Saturday not sunday as I thought. So brilliant that she is here earlier than I thought but now want the baby to come before then and want to organise the house a bit better. Oh well she'll take us as she finds us. She said her suitcase as overweight cause of all the presents for ME. I'm so excited

MN freaked on me too today glad it wasn't just me!!

flippineck · 14/05/2009 21:40

Evening all! Both girls are quiet, and DH is washing up so I've got a moment of peace to catch up.

jennster - Congratulations! Well done on your HWB! Lovely name.

momino - 19lbs, wow! Not dared weigh muself yet, but perhaps 3 days pp is a bit soon.

pula - glad to hear you're home.

frazzled - well?

DD2 finally has a name - Angharad Catherine. Physically all is fine here, apart from the afterpains! They are agony. I can't lie to anyone. My milk is in (my boobs enter a room about 5 minutes before I do) and A is feeding really well, and pooing every single time she feeds. I have also had a poo [v proud emoticon]!!!! My stitches don't feel too bad either.

Emotionally however, I'm struggling. No real blues, but I feel like I'm being really mena to DD1 - she's pushing things a bit and playing up (perfectly understandable), but I'm not coping with her very well and just end up getting cross which of course makes things worse. Any tips? She's only just 2.

Actually - about boobs: when will the size settle down? I really can't remember what happened last time. I've only got one bra that fits at the moment but don't want to buy any more until I know that I'll get at least a few weeks use out of them!

frazzledoldbag · 14/05/2009 21:47

Got distracted from telling you my news by eating a bit of cake and (un-tampered-with) custard while I still can...................my waters have broken and I'm having some contractions every 5 mins or so.
Just had shower, washed hair and put TENS on which I'm loving I must say. Contractions are mainly in my bum and down my left leg! That's a new one for me.
Phoned my Midwife Unit and they are totally empty tonight with no labouring ladies so said to give them 40 mins notice of coming in so can have a pool all filled and waiting for me. Exciting. Will post a bit later. Maybe. Assuming I'm not chewing the furniture by then.
euro sorry to hear you've been emotional too - mine was very bizarre and sudden (and over suddenly too) at which point I started having contractions.........must have been pre-labour hormones freaking me out.
Maybe the same will happen for you?

Anyway, wish me luck. Am a little bit scared to tell the truth. [gulps bravely].
x

Belgianchocolates · 14/05/2009 21:48

frazzled ?????? I need to go to bed now and I can't, because I really want to know your news!

flip my boobs are the same since this morning. They must be 2x the size of C's little head. Scary.

Oh well. DH has just left 4 work and tomorrow I'll have to get us all ready 4 the school run 4 the 1st time ever. Wish me luck, because I'll need it.

Right off to bed now to try and get in some sleep so I can get up bright and early tomorrow!

Febes · 14/05/2009 21:50

Good luck Frazzled I'm not jealous.... Not at all........ Maybe a bit..............

Belgianchocolates · 14/05/2009 21:51

Febes · 14/05/2009 21:52

FiKelly · 14/05/2009 22:16

hi all.. not been on tonight as had emotional eve.. can't name check everyone as I'm still too upset. baby and I are good but our old not so well dog suddenly died at about 6.30pm tonight. was v quick.. I think his heart. he died in my arms..

i started getting some quite strong period like cramps this afternoon.. just after my last post.. was really really tired and fell asleep on sofa with ds watching cbeebies. cramping continued and I did wake up a few times the last of which I noticed ds had also fallen asleep on the lounge floor bless him. just before dh got home. ds didn't want dinner so we got him into bed early. ds said night night to douglas and less than 15mins later douglas dog died. all cramping has stopped since then.. just trying to work out how to explain to ds in the am as tears are still pouring down my face when I start thinking about him..

hope lo doesn't arrive tonight as don't think I'm in a fit state to cope but all the best to frazzle

xoxox

Momino · 14/05/2009 22:21

Fi, I'm so, so, so sorry for you. and hope you can somehow get comfort tonight. tears will help a bit but try not to get too exhausted.

There's nothing I can say to make you feel better but only that I understand how you must feel as I know that dogs are part of the family. in any case, try to take care and sending hugs, support your way.

don't worry about baby, baby will come when you're both ready.xxxx

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 14/05/2009 22:41

Fi Massive hugs to you, I am so sorry, he dies in your arms, he died peacefully, take comfort from that. Please try and get some sleep

Grumpyoldcaaaaaaaa · 14/05/2009 22:42

Frazz Oh my, I hope you get your waterbirth, enjoy that custard. xxxxxxxxxxx Woo-hoo and woop woop to you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

FiKelly · 15/05/2009 03:27

well i managed to get to sleep with the help of hypno at about mid night. ds woke me up half an hour ago chattering in his sleep and then dh started snoring again even after I made him roll onto his side (he's still snoring!) now I'm awake again with a headache. prob dehydration due to all the crying.. having glass milk, paracetamol and fruit snack. I still can't quite believe douglas dog has gone..

MN seemed to go down again earlier.. twice in one day is unusual. think it's ok now though

FiKelly · 15/05/2009 03:40

hey and I've just realised it's now the wee small hours of my due date.. a milestone I never reached with ds. maybe the period like pains of yesterday afternoon will start again later?

I'm having the lounge carpet cleaned today too.. he's coming at 10am. thought may as well book him for today as was 1st date he had free and figured if I wasn't here my mum would be able to let him in and I'd come home to clean carpet. now realised.. sods law theory.. my waters could go on my nice clean carpet and I'd have to get him to come back!

I'm going to be so tired later.. suppose I should try to sleep again.

Blottedcopybook · 15/05/2009 06:22

I didn't mean to hold out on you guys last night! I had to take the DCs out to their Grandparents and when I got back, MN was down!

So, my funny DH-related story? He had that very special, very delicate operation at the family planning just before Christmas and has to provide a sample around now to make sure it worked. I reminded him of this yesterday and told him to do it while he had the energy. Now, bear in mind here that he slagged me rotten for not being able to pee in the stupidly small sample bottles that we're given - the sample pot he had was really wide and he still managed to miss it completely despite having more than one 'release'! Poor soul. I am still giggling

Frazz Wahey! Hope it's all going on for you!

Fi Oh honey I am so so sorry massive hugs. Really not what you needed right before your due date, but please take comfort that not only did he pass quickly but he passed at home with his family who loved him and battled for him. Not many pets get that xx

Momino · 15/05/2009 06:59

Fi, hope you can get sleep. and hpe DS is ok as can be with douglas news. you feeling ok this morning?

blotted, you had us all groaning in suspese. now, a bit giddy from lack of sleep, am giggling away at the story .
