New thread!

OP posts:
Are your children’s vaccines up to date?
NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 16:05

Kay, that's disgusting behaviour on their part.

Can't believe anyone would be rude enough to say it out loud to you in that sort of environment!

NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 16:08

And (have been brewing on this!) how stupid are they? I've personally known two women who have naturally birthed 3 babies (between them) of over 12lb.

sorkycakey · 07/05/2009 16:13

Ses that's fab news! You're going to meet our baby very soon
Nat we had the NN last week, also useless she advised me about puree despite me stating we would BLW, she looked aghast at the HE admission and also tried to refer ds2 to SALT but I refused.
All children who are spoken to and conversed with will get speech in the end. How many adults have no speech?

Kayz what utter bitches!

Diege parcel is set to post tomorrow

NatalieJane · 07/05/2009 16:18

Oh yes, the eyebrow shot up at mentioning BLW! "Where did you get this idea from?" she said..... "well I hope you're not going to undertake this before 6 months?" I so nearly said he'd had a mars bar earlier but thought she may well keel over on me!

Diege · 07/05/2009 16:38

KAYZ, can't believe those two 'ladies' were so offensive - to you, and to people who do have babies with Downs syndrome! Must be satisfying knowing that they have been banned
NAT, sounds like your NN was as useful as a chocolate teapot! Why are all these people so 'judgey judgey', and usually with no knowledge on which to base their assertions. I would have been very too at telling off of ds!
Thanks SORKY! Sounds like you're NN is equally useless...I mean how long has BLW been around now???!!!
Hello to everyone else! Getting a bit paranoid about bump as everyone I've met has commented on how low it's gone. Do you think a bump can drop if the heads just got lower (ok with that) and not engaged?? (not ok with that really based on past engagement to birth timescale!).
Hope you're ok SES!

lastboxoftampons · 07/05/2009 16:46

Oh, I can't keep up with the wagon!!!

But KAY! I can't believe the nerve of those women!!! How can they be so ignorant and offensive (although I suppose those qualities do go hand in hand). I'm sorry they were so awful!

SES! OMG, your baby will be here so soon!!!!!!!! That's so exciting! Congrats and best of luck!

I've posted some pics of our holiday on Facebook for anyone who's intersted Missing it already!

Oh, and by the way, where's that list... I've just figured out I've got about 7 full weeks left of work before mat leave! 40 days in total!!!

sorkycakey · 07/05/2009 17:09

Diege, with the Dd's I engaged early on and they popped in and out until labour.
Ds's were engaged only a day or so before labour.
But that's just me

You've been a week early before with the Dd's, yes?

Could be tomorrow, could be 10 days late, you know that.

Have the movements slowed, that's usually a good sign What's your body telling you?
I would trust your intuition given this is the fourth time around

Who's at the top after Ses?

sorkycakey · 07/05/2009 17:10

Ooh MinM that's a mighty close EDD

Diege · 07/05/2009 17:20

Thanks SORKY, that's interesting. Yes, all 3 dds early (39 +2; 39+2; 39+1)so not counting on reaching due date. I think I'll see if I can get my mw appointment brought forward a week. Not sure if I'm happy travelling to cardiff a week on Sunday if head has engaged, although I know that's no guanrantee of anything happening. Movements are just the same, esp at night, just feel really 'odd'
Hi LBOX! Holiday sounds good. Will have a look at your piccies
Right, better drag my aching pelvis over to the kitchen and get tea started. Speak later!
Oh and SORKY get that paypal addy sent to me asap madam

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 07/05/2009 17:55

DH has popped home with a list of stuff to bring back for me (Book, diet coke, headphones for CD player...)

He stayed with me all day bless him

I've still not seen a dr though to agree a definite plan. If I don't see anyone til tomorrow and it's too late for CS tomorrow, I don't know if they do planned CSs over the wkend. Really don't want to have to hang around here with nothing happening until then!

Sorry for selfish posts but on phone and memory like a sieve...

Oh but I do remember my shock at those 2 women Kay!!!

Diege · 07/05/2009 17:59

Hi SES! Really hope you can see dr. asap - the last thing that you want now is more uncertainty. I suppose there's always a chance that mini-SES could turn before then..happened to my friend as they were wheeling her down for surgery, she was sent home and then was nearly 2 weeks overdue! Bet you feel ready for baby now though! Will be thinking of you xxx

Kayzr · 07/05/2009 18:02

LBOT, I LOVE your pics they are just amazing!!!

Just back from WW and I have lost another 1.5lb!!

Some little bloody bug has bitten me right behind my knee!! It really hurts.

sorkycakey · 07/05/2009 18:03

I don't have a paypal account Diege.

Hey does that mean you won't make York?

sorkycakey · 07/05/2009 18:04

well done Kayz!!

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 07/05/2009 18:09

That's great Kay

Have just been told I won't see anyone until tomorrow and they don't do elective CS at the weekend!!! Aaarrgh!!!

Just hope I see someone early tomorrow and they have space in tomorrow's schedule!

tinkishappy · 07/05/2009 18:12

hi

wow ses good luck

kay - that is disgraceful thank god they have been band
well done losing that much

off to asda in a mofor food. also sold electric baby swing so getting dd1s last school uniform bits for sept

lardybump · 07/05/2009 18:17

evening all....

GP has leave it with her and she will get me an earlier appointment so we will see...

Kay well done on weight loss

Ses wow good luck for tomorrow...

I had a lovely day today until we got home. Went to Leeds castle with friends and DD was sliding down a hill on her bum.. In the car on way home I can smell poo and I think she needs changing. Get home and get her out of her carseat. She sits on sofa and I smell poo again so ask her to stand up and all down her bum and legs of jeans is poo.. Not her poo but animal poo... yuck I think it is fox poo which contain toxoplasm (sp?) So I have had to clean sofa, carseat, pushchair, clothes, carpet the lot this afternoon....

Diege · 07/05/2009 18:18

Here's to an early appointment SES tomorrow - would they make you stay in all weekend if op was next week?
SORKY, apologies I thought someone else on here had mentioned your pp account ; blame the old pregnancy brain!. I will shout you your lunch in York instead for the bits you're sending Still aiming to make it - hotel booked etc - but will bring my notes with me!
Hi TINKS, you are v.organised thinking of school bits for sept already! My bits from topshop came today, really nice, and also a blanket from BM (ok).
Right, am def gone now!

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 07/05/2009 18:27

They reckon so Diege as could be nasty if my waters break. If baby is head down or breech, the bum or head stops a cord prolapse but because mine is feet then bum and at an angle, there's a risk of cord prolapse which apparently could strangle baby suddenly and quickly if cord round neck or could break cord and take away baby's food and oxygen supply.

lastboxoftampons · 07/05/2009 18:31

Ses - best of luck tomorrow. Try to remain calm it's all going to be over soon!!! xx (PS - did you happen to notice that someone over on the assisted conception thread got a BFP??? )

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 07/05/2009 18:35

Do you know I saw that this morning before scan and had since totally forgotten
I am soooo pleased for her!

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 07/05/2009 22:06

Will have to try and get some sleep in a minute as lights out here!

Not used to just not being able to go and do stuff! Have never stayed a night in hospital before (except when I was born I guess!)

Too much time for thinking! Quite scary that I think the baby has been in this position for at least 8 weeks now and if my waters had gone, the consequences don't bear thinking about...

Nat - really must thank you big time. If you hadn't said the other day about your suspicions that it was breech, I might not have made a point to the MW on Tues that I wanted to be sure of position and she may have assumed head down and all ok as she did before! THANK YOU!

Ok... Musings over... G'night!!

GYo · 08/05/2009 07:48

Morning all

HV coming today to weigh the small giraffe.. im hoping she's piled on some weight, a few people have commented that she looks bigger.

Good luck Ses !

Poo for the poo lb, fox poo really honks

How bad is it that Im feeling REALLY broody? DD is only 6.5wks old!!!! no idea where its come from!

OP posts:
Kayzr · 08/05/2009 07:58

Morning,

GYo, I am very broody too still. Lots of people say it is because of the hormones.

Ses, hope all goes well today.
