x-posts NAT. Hope you're ok (sorry,I know that's not what you want, but really feeling for you). Some good advice on other thread - admire you for being so focused. Take care and let us know how things go when you can xxx

glaskham · 19/05/2009 11:11

I think i may just go for a 'good' trim... and have maybe 2 inches off the length... its only been about 6 weeks since it was last cut but it feels so long to what i wanted!!

Nat- have replied to your thread, i hope you're ok, you sound ok from your post's anyway... hope you and the boys are all ok.

glaskham · 19/05/2009 11:14

how many OK's can i fit in one post eh?!

glaskham · 19/05/2009 11:17

DD1 is sat on the floor cleaning DD2's buggy with baby wipes- she wont stop and keeps telling me 'its too dirty mummy, she likes it sparkly clean'.... nice!! Its only been used a handful of times too- cheeky little monkey!!

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 11:20

DS1 was trying to clean the argos catalogue earlier.

Just realised that because i'd like to have DC3 between june-september, next baby won't be here for over 2 years. Feeling a bit

glaskham · 19/05/2009 11:24

dont be sad- enjoy your boys and you'll forget soon enough till the time whizzes by and your ttc!! when DD1 was about 3mths old i'd have happily ttc no3, but DH didn't want any more so we decided we'd stick at 2, till DD was about 18mths and we had a scare and DH was the one being so laid back about a 3rd!! It was then we realised we did want another!! And i hadn't thought about a 3rd since we agreed to stick to 2!! I dont know how i coped as i was very broody, but i did!!

glaskham · 19/05/2009 11:26

right going to get DS from nursery... may be on again later, but i really should do the jobs i was going to do yesterday, but fell asleep. DD2 seems much more settled today with her feeds, so i may have a better chance!!

sorkycakey · 19/05/2009 12:14

Kayz I think you are wise to wait until the boys are a bit older. There's a 3 year gap between my no.'s 2&3 and the pg was far easier on my body.
I'm glad I got time for my body to recover and for me to enjoy the first two before ttc a third.
Plus Ds1 didn't need lifting, wasn't in nappies and was quite independent

Nat, blimey, I have to say I was expecting a thread on threadworms or something
Hope you n the boys are ok, sure you are? Hope your families around you or supporting you from a distance.
We're hear if you want to roar about anything

Okay Tup-tup is on the chomp yet again, so I'd better go.

Diege please apply piles cream before Betty's or we'll all end up scratting in sympathy and I'm fairly sure it won't look good

GYo · 19/05/2009 12:26

Morning

Nat- looked at your other thread, I cant think of anything else. Brownies, sofa and general wagon on standby if you need it.

Glask, Diege- In my fuddled/brain/tiredness i managed to read Diege's post about piles and Glask's post about a hair cut and needing "a good trim" and got some awful image in my head about piles being trimmed off!!

Im so envious of the meet up! will you take photos? Wish i'd arranged to come now, few weeks ago i didnt think i'd cope with trip away with DD on my own, but now it would be fine (proud emoticon for learning to cope with a baby )

Moosy, Tink, Star, and other southerners, where did we get to with the southern meet up?

glaskham · 19/05/2009 12:35

Gyo- it's not saturday yet still time to change your mind on attending ... and how yukky an image- good job i've just finished my lunch!!

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 12:44

Yeah GYo!!!

glaskham · 19/05/2009 12:46

Haha Kayz- knew you'd be on board for some words of encouragement too!!

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 12:51

Pleaseeeeeeeeee!! [flutters eyelids]

Diege · 19/05/2009 12:51

I was just thinking the same! Come on GYO, you know you'll regret it if you don't come!
Two huge boxes of baby things have just arrived I now have pretty much everything, though no where to store it all! I have all bases covered: breast pads and pump sitting next to a huge tub of SMA gold . I must say it does feel good to be trying bf again (though mum has expressed disgust as she did first timne round - think that's what kept me going for 6 months!
SORKY, will make sure I apply copious amounts of cream before meet - and may give my maternity thong a miss that day too

glaskham · 19/05/2009 13:01

Oh diege- I'm sure you'll be fab at BFing! I never really had anyone be disgusted by it, but my dad would always leave the room when i was feeding DS, but by time I had DD1 he'd got used to it and knew he didn't have to for my dignaty or anything- i mean he's my dad- he aint gonna be eyeing me while i'm feeding his grandson is he!! YUK!! Though my mum did keep asking if i'd be giving up soon, think it was becasue she wanted to feed them... she's very clingy and jealous that the kids are mine and not hers, she's like that with my nephew too, but he's FF and she always holds him so close when she feeds him- it scares me!! (god that really puts my mum into perspective!!)

sorkycakey · 19/05/2009 13:06

GYo it'd be lovely to meet you at York, def not too late

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 13:08

Diege you'll be fine!!!

DS2 is sleeping on me and i just got that strange tingly feeling like after a feed when your breats are refilling. Was very wierd.

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 13:09

or breasts maybe.

sorkycakey · 19/05/2009 13:18

Sling him on there Kayz, see what happens.

glaskham · 19/05/2009 13:20

I'd say go for it too Kayz!!

Actually are you still trying to re-lactate? I have you used any fenugreek?

Diege · 19/05/2009 13:20

Thanks! I'll give it a go for sure. I did so well with dd1, but does seem a long time ago. Remember being put off by feeding in cafes etc because of the stares I got, but maybe things have changed 7 years later? Have bought a really good (but rip-off)bf scarf type thing that you knot around your neck and it provides a sort of sling for feeding, plus covers up tummy etc too. Not describing very well, but will give me the confidence when out and about! (was on This Morning last week )

GYo · 19/05/2009 13:21

ooh Kayz, maybe you are relactating without trying!!!

Really am not able to make it as DH has invited one of his old friends for lunch on sat. I think if I told him I was off with DD for a night away he'd be very unimpressed, especially since the reason she is coming is to meet the small giraffe. But lets do a southern one or something more central next time for all of us? That would be really good! >

Diege- reckon you will be fab at breastfeeding, really not helpful to get that attitude. We are all here to support you

Please can I ask you some questions about routines, swaddling? Not sure if here is the place or perahps via FB?

Just put DD for a nap. I know I should do something useful but really CANT BE ARSED!

OP posts:
Kayzr · 19/05/2009 13:22

would do but he is dead to the world.

glaskham · 19/05/2009 13:30

GYo- i should be doing something useful and productive but can't drag myself away!!

GYo · 19/05/2009 13:32

Diege- I saw that thing on This Morning. Looks great.

I've not had any weirdo looks when feeding in public. I've worried a lot about it but now really dont care what I flash, so long as DD gets food!

Think of how easy it will be when going out with all the kids, no bottles to prep etc... I think that all the time, really so simple.
