Evening-

LB- glad DD's chest sin't affected but its bad they've lit it again, i'd say phone local police or fire brigade- Sorky thinks its illegal to burn carpets, and Kayz said its illegal to have a fire at this time... you're definatley in the right to phone someone- think of the children and dont feel guilty!!

DD has been unsettled again with wanting to feed so often, didn't manage any more housework as was sat feeding!! Then DH got home over an hour earlier than normal to find all 4 of us asleep!!

Am trying to watch my soaps but its not working!!

Kayzr · 18/05/2009 19:24

SKY is fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

glaskham · 18/05/2009 19:35

wuhoo Kayz- you got Sky+? I wouldn't be able to survive without mine!! We lost all our recordings once and i actually cried as i'd lost some good things!! how sad!!

Kayzr · 18/05/2009 19:39

YES!!! Since we moved though we haven't been able to record things as we couldn't afford for it to be done properly. But they have set up so we can watch and record at the same time.

lardybump · 18/05/2009 19:40

It all kicked off here, but all calm now. Called the council and spoke to lovely man in evo health dept. The law only states that you can not burn tyres or cables it is not illegal to burn carpet or plastic unless you are a builder!!!!! He agreed that it is crazy law that is out of date (probably pre carpet days). He agreed it was awful and he couldn't believe anyone would be so stupid.
But there is nothing they can do..

Mark went around there and apparently it reignited by itself today and he wasnt there to put it out but was full of appologies, he was really upset when dp told him about jessica!

glaskham · 18/05/2009 19:42

How have you survived?

glaskham · 18/05/2009 19:47

Is your DP happy with his reasoning? I suppose it is possible that there was still some smouldering that reignited itself today but its not on to be burning things like that in such close proximity to a house with such small children, especially without knocking to let you know or something... i mean if he'd knocked to ask if it was ok you could have explained the children were young and you'd prefer he didn't and none of this would have happened... silly neighbours!!

Kayzr · 18/05/2009 19:57

See here go to page 9 or 10!! LG&T won Mum of the year!!!

lardybump · 19/05/2009 07:53

I am so tired I think we are getting the 12 week growth spurt of which sorky speaks. DS woke up 5 times last night for a feed and fed for ages each time... It is such a shock considering he has been going through for a week.

I am also head of the house of snot again.... Sorry if you are eating . Both dd and ds are full of really nasty colds..

If they are still poorly do you want me to stay at home at the weekend? I know you all have little ones too so dont want to pass on germs to your babies!!! I will be very sad but will totally understand, I only ask because colds seem to last forever in this house...

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 08:11

Morning!!

Don't be silly LB!!! we're all full of cold anyway.

I have just been out on the bike. I am dead!! I think I might actually keel over and die!!

Hope you are all ok.

Diege · 19/05/2009 09:58

Morning! Back from Cardiff, and now gearinbg up for night away in York .
LB, I would think that come the weekend the cold won't be at the infectious stage anyway - certainly not a concern to me personally, although I take on board the need to 'sheild' Ruby. Really looking to meeting you!
KAYZ, as Glask sayd you'll be amazed how quickly you get used to the bike. It's am amazing way to get fit, though be prepared for some aches and pains in the morning!
Hope everyone is well. dd1 has just left on her school trip (overnighter) - her first night away so feeling a bit , but she will have a ball I'm sure!

glaskham · 19/05/2009 10:05

Sorry- i'm sounding all PFB about my P3rdB!! Ruby will be fine, my older 2 have had a runny nose and she's been fine, I doubt they'd be coughing on her or anything anyway... DS isn't big enough to, and i'm sure DD would ahve better things to do than coo over all the babies like causing chaos with freddie maybe

Diege · 19/05/2009 10:28

Glask. BTW, a tmi question that you, or others, might know the question to. I have the most horrific piles that I would ideally like sorting before the birth!! Does anyone know if it's ok to slap on the anusol while pregnant??

sorkycakey · 19/05/2009 10:30

LB!!!!!
DONT YOU DARE NOT COME YOU LILY-LIVERED LANDLUBBER

They could all just as easily catch cold from the person at the next table. Unless you have swine flu in which case.....

Having a Jama day here

sorkycakey · 19/05/2009 10:33

Oh dear Diege, Ses might be the best one to ask.

glaskham · 19/05/2009 10:35

Diege- sorry but I dont know- never suffered with it. was always worried about having it though... hope you can sort it soon though... can you not ask at boots? i mean its common for PG women to get it anyway, maybe go to one further away from home so you dont have to see the pharmasist again??

sorkycakey · 19/05/2009 10:38

According to the bnf it's not recommended for children, says nothing about pg. What does the packet say?

juleswastink · 19/05/2009 10:43

morning

lb- some people out the back behind our house a few weeks ago some people were burning carpet etc in a metal bin!! dont understand why they do it!! loads of smoke.

kay - ye for sky+!!

off to swimming with them both this monring.

glaskham · 19/05/2009 10:45

LB- as Kayz says- dont be silly!! If they still have a cold. It may be ideal for them not to get too close to Ruby as i dont want her back in hospital after her last cold- but dont not come- i'm sure they'll be fine!! And ruby's immune system seems much stronger since her last cold, that was 8 weeks ago!!

glaskham · 19/05/2009 10:46

oooh- i'm getting my hair cut on friday... how good timing is that for the weekend!?! My friend has just phoned to see if i could cut hers for her so i said i would if she did mine... think i want it shorter than she did it last time- but i'm worried she'll chop the lot off like she has done in the past (not the worlds greatest hairdresser but free!!)... its a bit long at the moment when i strighten it... should i risk a cock-up the day before i'm meeting you lot for the first tiem in RL??? anyone wanna find me a nice haircut i should go for?

glaskham · 19/05/2009 10:52

Kay- once you get used to it again you'll be fine- i remember i used to love my bike!! it's still in my mums shed- can't decide wether to collect it or leave it there till i either move to where she lives (which is on the cards for this year) or till Ruby is big enough to get in a baby seat on the back.

Ruby is being weighed tomorrow morning, if she's put on over 5oz again then we'll go to being seen for weigh-in every 2 weeks!! It may only be 3 more visits and we're discharged!! I think she's put on weight- she felt so heavy when i lifted her out of her moses basket this morning!! I wouldn't be surprised if she was 7lb!! That'd mean she'd have put on 2oz less than she did last week!!

NatalieJane · 19/05/2009 11:01

Hello, sorry can't catch up, but anyone got any advice please?

Kayzr · 19/05/2009 11:04

Nat, hope you are ok. Text me if you need too. XXXX

NatalieJane · 19/05/2009 11:05

No I'm fine thanks, really.

Just don't want to miss anything really obvious!

Diege · 19/05/2009 11:06

Thanks Glask/sorky. Don't have the packet anymore (just an ancient looking tube)so may explore on net/wait till Thurs to ask mw. Will try not to itch them in Betty's
GLASK, yes go for the trim! I wouldn;t go for a drastic change at the momnent myself, but them again as we've not met you before will be new to us anyway! Re: new styles, heat mag has some good ones in (last weeks); the 'new shag(s)'!
SORKY, jama day sounds good
