Nat- I hope you're wrong too, for your sake!!

Kayz- sorry for feeling ill- it really is pants when you've got a busy day ahead isn't it!

Gruff- well done on getting down to one FF a day... i'm wondering if you stopped giving that one bottle and fed him as and when he wanted for a couple of days if you'd then be able to be ex-BF?? I dont know how your day is and wether you'd have the energy/time to spend a couple of days to just sit and feed... I know when my supply had all but dried up the only thing that got my milk in more was feeding... and within a couple of days my supply was up to her needs so she was going a good length betwen feeds (so i knew she was satisfied on the amount she was getting) and now 3 weeks later my supply is full on!! You've done brilliant to get to where you are now though, well done!!

LB- thanks for letting us use your boot... shall we just sort it on the day for me collecting it and getting to the station?

Sorky- thanks so much for the clothes again... i have looked through what she has today and apart from having most of her newborn she's not got much in 0-3 at all... but then has a fair amount of 3-6... so the clothes will be excellent... hopefully I'll be able to pass them on upon the wagon when she outgrows them too... sure it wont be toooooooooo long now she's started to gain weight so well!!

idreamofbeanie · 16/05/2009 08:57

Nat - fingers crossed for you! Enjoy your busy day.

Kayz - sorry you are feeling crap . Hope you feel better soon.

Ses - hope you have a lovely sensible midwife. Glad to hear you had a good night. Just had a look at your facebook pics and Owen is just gorgeous!

LB and Gruff - boo to crappy boilers, 7 weeks with no hot water is ridiculous .

Right, off to London .

glaskham · 16/05/2009 10:42

Sorky, welldone!! Swaddling works for DD2 when she's fretful at night with her constipation... the other 2 would never settle witth swaddling!!

lardybump · 16/05/2009 10:54

bad night here. DD and DS were doing a tag match all night. arggggghhhhh. Do you think swaddling will work on a 2 year old? ..

dp has just given ds a bottle of ebm as I took dd to get her hair cut. He has taken it fine and is now asleep. Should I express now or will one missed feed be ok. I could really use a rest if truth be told but dont want to mess with my supply...

lardybump · 16/05/2009 10:56

sorry sorky should of said yippeeeia for the full nights sleep, long may it last...

NJ you must pop back and tell us your news fingers crossed for you

Glask yes lets sort it out on the day..

Idob have a good time in london

Kay have a lovely weekend and ds has puked on MIL many times!!! She doesn't believe in reflux and insists on winding him by bouncing him around after a feed... silly mooooooooooo

lardybump · 16/05/2009 11:00

um sorky your post is timed 11:39 do you live in a parallel universe??? In my world it is only 11 o clock now......

lardybump · 16/05/2009 11:00

Talk about me me posting that is 4 on the trot.... he he

lardybump · 16/05/2009 11:01

If it is in cyberspace are you still mad if you talk to yourself?

Diege · 16/05/2009 11:04

Morning! Have to say all this bf talk has really inspired me to try again. Great to hear everyone doing so well, esp with diffuicult cases of reflux etc. Have ordered a combination of bf things and bottles too, as I will expressing and storing etc from pretty early on so that dh can do his share, so quite excited about getting the breast pads etc that I got with dd1!
NAT, really hoping you get the result that you want - like you, can't see how it could happen, so would still be fairly positive things will turn out ok xx
SORKY, sounds like swaddling works for you! I've done it from day one with all 3 of mine, just using the crib sheets, gradually moving to 'looser' type of swaddle by 6 months (under arms) and then sleeping bags.
Hi to everyone else - pretty useless at retianing who's done what etc at the moment! My mum has told me that my bump is 'disgusting' because it is so big - nice but I have learnt to hold my tongue and just let her get it out. My name choices are also 'hated', so just going with it at the moment! Trying to get to have a look at labour ward this afternoon, and waiting for mw to call me back - not holding much hope as there were lots of sighs etc on the phone! Secretly hoping the 'low risk' rooms are rubbish so I'll be swayed to home birth!
Hope everyone is well - esp you KAYZ, sounds awful! Will try and pop back later to see how Nat has got on.

Diege · 16/05/2009 11:07

Hi LB! . I've been thinking that about expressing too, re: supply. Seem to remember last time though coping by expressing while dh giving a bottle, and in between feeds, so supply not effected. having said that, the whole convenience thing does become a bit of a joke then! Hoping to get a good freezer full for when I go back to work.

Diege · 16/05/2009 11:08

Oh and doula rang yesterday and is coming to see me next week (cough up time!). Feeling better about position of baby and confident the bum in air position will work!

Diege · 16/05/2009 11:09

Don't think we're mad LB

glaskham · 16/05/2009 11:10

Home Birth!!!!!! yay Diege- just go for it- you can do it!!

LB- no you aren't mad- have you not seen how many times i have posted to myself loads in a row??

lardybump · 16/05/2009 11:11

Glask what do you think about ds having a bottle should I express??

glaskham · 16/05/2009 11:14

if its just for the one feed i'd have said not to bother really... he'll feed from that side first and it should be fine, your supply is well established isn't it... so i'd just put a breast pad in and maybe hand express a couple of drops if you get engorged... though if you wanted to express so you have another feeds worth of milk then it wont make much difference IMO...

sorkycakey · 16/05/2009 11:14

Thanks G, I feel like new woman.
Was gonna try and keep her awake until 12, but she's swaddled and asleep now.

glaskham · 16/05/2009 11:15

and if he's asleep too i think you should let DP have DD and you go up to bed till DS wakes for his next feed afetr your bad night!!

NatalieJane · 16/05/2009 11:15

It's alright, panic over, no testing needed, period's turned up, out of nowhere I will add. Will also add I think the lure of my most expensive almost nothing there knickers may have helped it on it's way!

Phew!!! Right, sorry can't catch up properly with everyone else, still haven't even got them in the bath! Might go and celebrate with a McD's!

Diege · 16/05/2009 11:19

Excellent news Nat . Think we need a 'reverse honk' for that one
Oh meant to say am I the only Eurovision mad wagoner??? . Have score sheets and everything printed out for me and dh..plus avidly watched the semi-finals

Diege · 16/05/2009 11:20

glaskham · 16/05/2009 11:21

NatalieJane · 16/05/2009 11:22

Not dissapointed at all, not even in the slightest bit. In fact has just completely cemented any niggly doubts I did have about DH having the snip!
