the BfN woman also wants me to write up me BF experrience to use on the website or in a newsletter!! How fantastic is that?!? I'm really getting exited now!! Just need some peace and quiet now to type it all up!!

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 16:13

Hmm a dilemma, will stock thinking cap on.

Nat when are you testing?

Kayzr · 15/05/2009 16:14

Glask, that is such good news. I'd love to be a BF counsellor but as I haven't succesfully BF I doubt I'd be very good.

I wonder how Playing and LG&T are doing?

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 16:16

Are you spending the day with LB?
I could drop off the bag at her car if your Dh could pick you up from her hotel?

Kayzr · 15/05/2009 16:18

I could put it on the P&Ts maybe.

DS2 is trying to crawl!!!

idreamofbeanie · 15/05/2009 16:19

Hi Glask/Sorkey. I don't know if this helps but my house is about 15 min walk from the station (or about 5 min in a taxi) so if you wanted to drop stuff there for the day you are more than welcome. You would still have to get it to the station and back but at least you don't have to carry it around all day. Actually DP or I could probably drop you back at the station when you pick it up so that would be easy.

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 16:19

That's great about bf glask HV asked me to do similar bit I honestly haven't got the time which Is a shame, I reckon you'll be fab at it

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 16:20

Too big for buggy K

glaskham · 15/05/2009 16:29

IDOB... thats a kind offer and could work that way, or dropping it in LB's boot for the day would also work as i think we're going round the shops together afterwards... though i also have a bag of things for IDOB, so maybe we could drop them both off at yours IDOB, and if you came round the shops with us i'd come back with you to collect it before going back to the station... dropping me off would prob not be an option as will have DD2 and no car seat, but very kind of you to offer...

glaskham · 15/05/2009 16:32

haha- have stupidly fallen out with DH over how to cut potatoes for making mash with!! he's making tea, but has never made mash before- he always buys it pre-done... so i said i'd show him how to chop the potatoes (like its rocket science) then i said just make sure they're all roughly the same size so they're all cooked at the same time, then he starts on one and goes to cut the cubes twice the size of mine... i then said to cut them smaller and he had a hissy fit and stormed off- what a woman!!

idreamofbeanie · 15/05/2009 16:36

Well you could either drop it all off at mine and collect your bag after shopping or, if you can put it in LB's car boot, I'll walk back to the station with you after shopping and get DH to pick me up. Whichever is easiest.

Right, I'm going to be lazy and nip off home early. I'm driving down to Cambridge tonight to see some friends then off to Twickenham for the rugby tomorrow.

I'll be logging on to check NJs news though - fingers crossed!

glaskham · 15/05/2009 16:42

Either is fine by me... see if LB minds putting it in her boot, if thats easier for you sorky? I know you're meeting up with her before coming to betty's aren't you? so that may be the easiest option... and would love some company back to the station IDOB.... i take it you'll be coming shopping too then??

glaskham · 15/05/2009 16:47

right i need the loo, then DH said tea should be ready in 20mins so better go sort the older 2 DC's for their food!!

Will be on later hopefully if not send me a text kays??

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 16:48

If LB doesn't mind I'll drop it off with her

glaskham · 15/05/2009 17:30

back- Dh made us a nice tea... salmon with a cheese sauce, cheesy mash and green beans- i could've licked my plate clean!! Yummy!!

Nat- where are you? what tiem is you're DH back with the test? I expect you'll be testing today at some point? or will you be waiting for tomorrow?

glaskham · 15/05/2009 17:32

actually i think i'm turning the PC off now... spend the evening on the sofa with DH and DD2 once the older 2 are in bed.

juleswastink · 15/05/2009 17:38

lardybump · 15/05/2009 17:55

Using my boot is fine by me!!!!!

DD has had 3 wees & no accidents & she has jeans on aswell.

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 18:08

Ta LB. Do you you think maybe you should change your name ?

Will lurk via phone for Nat-News.

LB will the hotel charge me for parking there on the Saturday? I normally park over the other side of town by the hospital & Uni.

IDOB where could I park next to The HIlton Hotel, or is it relatively easy to get back to Gillygate from LB? Hope it's not all one-way systems.

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 18:09

Congrats on the wee's, esp with clothes on. We're still naked toileting here, but successfully

He's been very subdued today in fact, I hope he's not brewing something

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 18:09

LB fb msg for you

lardybump · 15/05/2009 19:05

Sorky I dont know about parking but the hilton in Maidstone gives you a token to get your car out if you have eaten or stayed over night there. I could get one for you if it is the same there.....

I will check FB now...

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 19:20

any news Nat?

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 15/05/2009 19:55

MW asked me to keep record of feeds and nappy changes. This is today:

7am - nappy change wet & dirty
7.25-8.05am - feed
9.20am - nappy change wet & dirty
9.45-11.10am - feed
12.20-13.20pm - feed
13.45pm - nappy change wet & dirty
16.05-17.05pm - feed
17.30pm - nappy change mainly wet & little dirty
17.35-18.00pm - feed
Paused for hiccups
18.30-18.55pm - feed

How does that sound? Just tried expressing for the first time. Only got about 10ml in 15mins.

Sorry for not responding to you guys, am just a little obsessed at the moment with weight gain...

sorkycakey · 15/05/2009 20:20

Ses what the mw has asked you to do is pointless and can only serve to worry you more and rely more heavily on her advice, which is not a good thing. She's effectively asking you to not trust your instincts as a mother.
All babies lose weight after their birth this weight loss is often greater in babies who weigh more.

As long as he is feeding well, the length of time will shorten as he gets the hang of it, ime about 2-3 weeks, and his producing wet nappies and Korma-coloured poo then he's fine.

Do try not to get worried about the length or frequency of feeding, sometimes they take a while sometimes both sides, then the next feed is different. As long as he is feeding as he desires in the early days/weeks then he'll be fine.

Lastly, on what I hope isn't a totally bossy post (sincere apologies) it's maybe a bit early to express. Would you be okay to wait until 3-4 weeks, ideally after the 6 week spurt as you mill supply will have naturally increased.
