Diege · 14/05/2009 10:52

IDOB. Good idea about ringing to let you know we're on the way, though I'm sure you'll hear us before you see us

glaskham · 14/05/2009 10:59

Diege- dont say that.... we're gonna look like something out of a film, a HUUUUUUUUGGGGGGEEEE crowd of us taking up the whole of the cobbling down the streets of York!! haha!!

IDOB will get your number and text so i know i have it right (always have to check as i'm hopeless for leaving out a digit!!)

Moosy and IDOB- thanks too foe the comments on weight gain.... i'm close to starting an AIBU thread just to show off!! haha!! I'm grinning from ear to ear!!

Kayzr · 14/05/2009 11:02

Post on in the feeding just to give anyone else in your position hope.

glaskham · 14/05/2009 11:15

I have done Kayz!! It's good to help with a bit of positive thinking!! may even post it in premature birth too.

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/05/2009 11:16

oh, that's a good idea Kayz, a kind of 'my success story', starting right from the beginning when you (Glask!) was expressing whilst Ruby was in hospital, would be a real help and inspiration to other women who might be in a similar situation....

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/05/2009 11:18

Diege, I carry my notes EVERYWHERE with me because I'm obsessively paranoid always playing on the 'safe side'.

Wouldn't it be fab () if you did go into labour , like you say, loads of birth partners (we could take it in shifts, I understand from DP that its a tiring job ) and we could bake brownies at IDOB's!!!

LOL - what an image!

Sparklytwinkletoes · 14/05/2009 11:20

Right, I'm off out now, see you later!

sorkycakey · 14/05/2009 11:21

I agree it will prolly help someone greatly if they're faced with the same situation.

Good luck for the m/w this afternoon Diege

Right better think about lunch and for that matter some housework as the place is a midden atm

Had a fab night out last night btw, didn't feel like I had 4 kids at all. Def gonna do it again, and then maybe again

Have to leave in a few minutes for mw - not really sure what I expect her to tell me, other than if head engaged or not! Hope it's not the nasty judge-y pants one

NatalieJane · 14/05/2009 13:54

Cor, look at you lot all gabbing away again! I am very and about the meet up/s, I can't do York, DH is on call, and Reading is just too far for me. I hear there is a lovely little town called Accrington way up north if anyone fancies it? Can't promise Betty's style food, but there's a Mucky D's Or I actually own one of those things that are in kitchens, they get very hot, and I'm told you can cook food in them Not sure I know where ours is, but DH likes to moan tell me alllllll about it....!

Glask, that is great news about Ruby Well done you!!

Diege, hope MW is the nice one, and that she is helpful

Friend came round yesterday, wine o'clock seems to be getting earlier and earlier was quite nice though because she left about 7-ish, by which time we were both pretty erm.... merry then it was time to do baths and beds, DH and I had a lovely night, nice wine (that I forgot to offer friend can't help it, am not supping a £15 bottle of posh wine without my DH!) nice chinese food, nice music, great sex, and then bed time And DS3 slept through completely, and DS2 even made it to sleep within 15 minutes of getting into bed, was a lovely peaceful evening

sorkycakey · 14/05/2009 15:09

Ds2 has had three wee's on the toilet today all by himself (no prompting).
He's just been and done a poo for the first time.....unfortunately it was in the new toilet, which is with the bathroom suite stored in the Conservatory, waiting to be installed by Dh!!

We all clapped and cheered regardless though and then I had to go and fish it out and clean the toilet, grim.

Still a poo on the toilet is a poo on the toilet, even if it isn't plumbed in

sorkycakey · 14/05/2009 15:44

just been chatting to dh and I don't think I'll be at the reading meet up.
It's going to cost too much in the same month as the balance of our holiday is due

lardybump · 14/05/2009 15:57

Sorky how old is DS. Well done for the poo and as you say a toilet is a toilet!!!

DD does wee's and poo's on the potty or the toilet every time when she has no clothes on her bottom half but when ever I put trousers on her she messes herself. We have been through 4 pairs of trousers today already... I am just letting her run around with no clothes on now and have put the heating on.... Any ideas of how we can fix this??? Cant keep up with the washing DS goes though so many clothes in one day with his reflux now this..... ]

Also what do you do when they mess themselves? Do you say thats ok or what, I dont want to tell her off for weeing herself but dont want to praise her either what do you do??

Diege · 14/05/2009 17:38

That's odd! Posted about an hour ago and post has gone ; maybe due to tech problems the site has been having?
Sorky, great about the poo , although I did shudder a bit at manual removal of poo from unplumbed toilet!
NAT, happy to meet somewhere for a coffee in Accrington if you'll have me? Not too far at all from me . Just let me know when and where
LB, think the general advice these days is just to ignore all the pooing of pants etc, to avoid the attention thing. Very hard after 5/6 changes a day though (there are the moment with dd3).
Midwife ok; baby measuring fine ( a little ahead of dates) but is now lying oblique (diagonal) which isn't great. Mw doesn;t seem concerned, but need to go back next week to keep an eye on things.
Teatime. but will pop back later x

Kayzr · 14/05/2009 18:49

Put on a lb at WW, feel awful. DS2's now 16lb 12.5oz, he was 15lb 12oz 6 weeks ago.

sorkycakey · 14/05/2009 19:00

We tend to say " oh dear try to go to the toilet next time"

Or if she's wearing clothes, could you ask her every hour or half hour if she needs a wee?

I mightve done this 3 times, but I'm still clueless myself tbh

Don't feel bad about putting on a pound, weight fluctuates so much during the week, you could have lost it again tomorrow! Especially with your shiny new bike! I think you're doing really well and DS2 seems to be doing really well too.

Can I just have a double check on the date for the York meetup? It is the 23rd isn't it?
