STT - point of my rambling was to say that we didn't decide until we got into the scan whether we were going to find out or not. Only next week that you find out then!

juleswastink · 13/05/2009 16:35

will go on fb now

question about dd1 starting school in sept

she will be one of the youngest in her class

she is 4 years old on the 29th of aug

she is a very bright girl really good with her letters, numbers and reading

was thinking of sending her full time straight away is this mean?

Moosy · 13/05/2009 16:40

SST, I think Reading was mentioned a while ago for a Southern/national meetup as it's fairly central (well, for us down here anyway!) and has good rail links. Shall we start thinking about a date?

juleswastink · 13/05/2009 16:43

i am not far from reading

Diege · 13/05/2009 16:48

STT, will also have a look on fb now
Hi STAR,I can understand your stress about lost toy - been there with the little bastard bunny of dd2's that we call 'mummy rabbit' (David for short - don't ask). Tis truly stressful; remember losing another one a few days after xmas that dd2 had made herself called Icecream...luckily turned up in window of local betting shop, but boy was I snappy and irritated by the whole thing!
TINKS, I didn;t realise they could do anything other than full time if 4 before sept? Must be different rules in different areas. My dd1 was very young for her year (4 27th July) and while I did find a massive difference between the oldest and youngest in the class, after the first year it all seems to even out and the teachers take the age differences into account. I'd go for full time option - I'd include the weekends too if I could
Dh getting ingredients for tea, so feeling I should get off my backside and change the beds . Am energised by reading a good essay by one of my students for once - 82%! - so feel I can turn my attentions towards the pig sty that is my house!

GYo · 13/05/2009 16:56

Hello

Am so envious about the meet up! Wish I could make it but Im definately game for a meet in Reading

Maybe a date in July?

Been quite sick today, think I ate something dodgy yesterday and was up all night between my visits to the bathroom and feeding the small giraffe.... Fortunately DH has been here today or I dont know what I would have done... am hoping that continueing to feed was the right thing to do...?

Went to see Gruff and her cub yesterday afternoon, he is GORGEOUS but the poor little chap is a bit colicy. Gruff is clearly a pro already though

SOrry for crap post brain really not functioning today, not eaten for 24hrs

juleswastink · 13/05/2009 16:57

cheers oh wise one diege

have brackens name down for swimming and sing and sign for sept

Moosy · 13/05/2009 17:14

Boo for feeling bleugh GYo, you're right though, continuing to feed is good. The Samll Giraffe is actually less likely to catch it off you if you do BF as you're passing on the immunity that you're making straight to her (so long as you're washing your hands well!).

Oh, and I see you took some brownies to Gruff, where are ours, hmm???

GYo · 13/05/2009 18:14

Thanks Moosy, I've been washing my hands like a lunatic.

I've learnt that sickness and looking after small babies dont go!

Will make some brownies for the southern meet! though the thought of them right now does make me rather

Hi STT

OP posts:
glaskham · 13/05/2009 18:21

managed to pop on while DH is out with DS & DD1 getting KFC for tea... tesco order isn't coming till after 7 and got nothing in so decided to be naughty!!

Sorky that'd be fab thanks!! Good job we're coming in the car too then i suppose!!

IDOB.. maternity clothes- are you a big or small 16? i think i alsohave a pair of 18 pants i bought thinking were a 16, i wore them always with the buttons done but weren't too big on me, and i'm normally a 14-16 depending on where i shop, and have a really lovely pair of size 14 cargo style pants that fit me up to the day i went into labour and my bump was huge (actually i was wearing them when i went intolabour!!)... i dont want anything for them if they're going to be 'recycled' upon the wagon so dont worry about any pennies!! and i think i'll have a few maternity tops for you too... will have a look through at sizes and give you a list of what i have!! Will also bring to york for you!!

idreamofbeanie · 13/05/2009 19:28

Thanks Glask - I'm quite a big size 16 on the top (they never seem to be cut to fit my bust) but all my maternity trousers are size 16 and are quite loose. I occassionally have to buy size 14 bottoms but usually its 16. I'd be really grateful for anything you want to pass on but I'd feel better if I could buy you lunch.

STT - good to 'see' you

Gyo - poor you, hope you are better soon.

glaskham · 13/05/2009 20:22

IDOB- honestly dont worry about it!! I've just looked through and there is:

Size 18:
Smart DP black wide leg trousers, (i wore these with the blue dress/top and they looked ok as you couldn't see them gathered up at the waistband)

Size 16:
Green DP top, short sleeved.
H&M mama kakhi shorts (only worn once, i bought to wear round the house and never did!!)
Cream linen short pants (as in longer than mid-calf but shorter than full length) from DP, again only worn once as i forgot I had them!!
White DP sleeveless vest.
Blue dress/top from Verbaudet- supposed to be a dress but i thought it'd be way too short and used as a long top.

Size 14:
Pair of Mamas & Papas jeans (small 14 though)
Pair of under the bump DP knee length jeans, never worn as big fitting and didn't fit till it was too cold for them!!
Black ex-DP sleeveless vest (same as white one in size 16)
Fucia pink smart DP top (large fitting IMO)
Beige and white Next top (large fitting IMO)
(Also have 2 other Next tops in this size but can't find them at this moment in time, one is smaller fitting the other larger)
Kakhi combat/cargo trousers with belt, larger size 14 i'd say, i wore them under the bump mainly.
Yellow DP t-shirt with a little kitten on the front.

Size 12:
Burgundy DP smart dress, worn once.

Your welcome to it all if you want it to see what would fit, if you want pics just email me at [email protected] and i can send you pics... if you just want some then let me know what and thats fine...

Sparklytwinkletoes · 13/05/2009 20:25

Glask - think I must have felt your KFC vibes all the way up here!! I texted DP about the same time as you posted about getting KFC for tea....we're really piggy, we demolish a boneless bucket (8 piece) between us (including DS, but he doesn't eat that much)

Saves on washing up though!!!!

glaskham · 13/05/2009 20:29

Oh and there's also some beautiful Next PJ's... they are just to die for!! Or they were for me anyway- maybe i'm just a bit obsesive about PJ's though, you can definatley have them, they're a 14 but on the larger side again. They come with the top, 3/4 pants and a matching bolero style little cardi thing for if your arms are chilly... all with matching cream lace detailing!!

glaskham · 13/05/2009 20:35

Have just had a teeny little sad moment- sorting through my maternity clothes is a little sad for me... thats the one thing thats going to hurt about not having any more DC's..... not being able to buy maternity clothes!! I just love maternity stuff- gets me so exited!! They always seem so much nicer than standard clothes to me!!

STT- how strange!! we got the wicked zinger bucket but there's still 4 pieces left and the DC's shared the popcorn and had a strip each... think my eyes were bigger than my belly tonight!! Then my food shopping came as we finished and i got all exited at all the yummy food we have in now... forgot just how much i'd ordered though, the hallway was piled full of the shopping- and our hallway is fairly big!!

glaskham · 13/05/2009 21:11

Right ladies, i'm getting tired- off to bed now... hopefully i'll be on in the morning- it'll most likely be after 10ish though- have the silly SCBU nurses coming first thing to weight Ruby!! Fingers crossed for me!!

idreamofbeanie · 13/05/2009 22:29

Glask - thank you so much, the size 18 and 16 trousers and the size 16 tops sound fab if you really don't mind bringing them to York (I'm not sure I would wear shorts). I'm sitting picking at a huge bag of doritos wondering if the PJs and combat pants will fit too . If there aren't any other wagoners after them it'd be great to try them.

Ooooo another reason to look forward to the York meet up .

idreamofbeanie · 13/05/2009 22:31

PS I have my fingers crossed for Ruby's weigh in tomorrow.

Kayzr · 14/05/2009 08:10

Morning,

Glask, I hope Ruby has put on more weight again today.

STT, Please come to York if you can!! I would love to see you!!!

Poor DS1 has a cold. He is all sniffly and keeps coughing. I feel so sorry for him as he just seems so unlike himself.

Hope everyone is well. Just 9 days until York!!!

glaskham · 14/05/2009 08:15

thanks IDOB... I'm hoping she's gained loads of weight as i'm gearing myself up to finally burst at the nurses if she hasn't and they try to make me give more formula!!

Honestly right now i'm a size 14-16 but mainly 16's so i think most of the size 14's would fit you by the sound of it... I'll bring you the shorts too just in case you wanna wear them round the house on a hot day or even just with a t-shirt for bed or something.. no point hanging onto any of it!! I'm pretty large up-top too so if thats why most tops dont fit then imagine i'm a smallish size 16 with size E-cup... I have the same problem... I can always bring all the 14's I feel are larger fitting for you and if they dont fit you can just pass them on again?? they may also fit really nice while your bump is still small??

If anyone else wants the rest of the maternity clothes just give me a shout and i can post them out or bring to York...

Kayzr · 14/05/2009 08:24

Glask, I have that problem. I have to wear size 18 tops because of large bust. I am a bit worried I'll get back to being a size 10 with huge norks and I'll look like Jordan or something.

lardybump · 14/05/2009 08:56

morning all. DS went through again. 3 days on the trot!!!!!!!!!!!!!

A question to all you BF experts...... Yhis morning my boobs were not sore and although they were hard and full they were not leaking, so it looks as if my body has already decreased supply during the night.... What happens if he goes back to waking in the night will I have enough milk to feed him?????

Housework day today and more potty training. DD weed on potty yesterday when ever I left her with no clothes on but poo'd on the carpet so we need lots more work.....
