Thanks for all your congrats
Will post proper birth story once we're home but all ok.
DH has just gone home for the night.

Owen fed for an hour after the birth and another twice since! He struggled to sleep unless being cuddled or with my little finger as a soother but has finally gone off to sleep.

We're so happy and he's so perfect

GYo · 09/05/2009 20:13

ahh Ses, I am so pleased for you. I hope you have a good night with Owen and the ward isnt too noisy.

I'll await the BS with coffee poised.

How was ds today LB?

GYo how's the feeding going?

Who won the syndicate?

lardybump · 09/05/2009 21:57

DS has been much better today. Wasn't sick all day only after one feed and he fed every two hours.... He is asleep now so I am hoping that we are starting to turn a corner. He is still pooing green poo and about 8 times a day which has made his bum really sore but I am using lots of cream so hope that sorts that out...

How are you today sorky, is little one sleeping better now? Owen is only waking twice in the night at the moment which is great...

sorkycakey · 10/05/2009 08:28

Yes she's been much better thanks. She's increased her feeding massively, which is time consuming but it's still going well. Can't quite believe shes 3 months already. We had her first laugh yesterday, it was a proper chuckle
I do hope it's a corner being turned LB

glaskham · 10/05/2009 09:55

morning

Diege · 10/05/2009 10:32

Morning! dh grumbling about his aches and pains after sponsored walk yesterday . Welcome to my world and all that...I have very little sympathy I must say. His penance is to take dd1 to church - it's something she mentioned she'd like to go to this week, and we have both been shamefully reluctant to take her because of the 10am start . Can't really say no - I mean, it's not as if she's asked to go to a satanic cult or anything.. Still hoping she won't want to go next week purely beacuse of early start!
Hope everyone is ok, and that you and Owenm had a restful might SES

SesIsNowCountingdownthedays · 10/05/2009 10:44

Morning

Diege - maybe you should start your syndicate soon??!

Not a lot of sleep last night. He was feeding regularly and had some v full meconium nappies! He's had another good feed at 9am which the BF counsellor saw and was v happy with and he's been asleep for about an hour now.

I'm quite sore but gradually getting mobile again and they've said we may be able to go home tomorrow, if not Tues.

Hope everyone else is good.

Diege · 10/05/2009 11:01

Hi SES!! THink I may wait a few weeks until starting my syndicate - seems very early although I won't wait too long as I don't think I'll make 38 weeks tbh!
It sounds like feeding is going extremely well, and that Owen is getting everything he needs. Hoping you can get some rest today and they 'let you out' asap! xxx

Moosy · 10/05/2009 14:40

Hope things are still going well for you Ses, you sound good!

Feeling bleurgh again today and was sick just before lunch just when I thought I was getting better. Harrumph.

lardybump · 10/05/2009 16:38

Ladies i need some advice. Where DS is being so sick all the time his skin has gone really spotty and some of it is really nasty (looks yellow and really sore). The cream I have been using is not doing anything so was wondering if you have any idea of good creams for babies skin. It isn't dry at all if anything it looks greasy but not obviously so.... Does that make sence.

Lovely sunny day here we went out for breakfast this morning and then went for a nice walk this afternoon...

juleswastink · 10/05/2009 17:24

ses - sorry for bad night sounds like he is feeding well
poor you moosy
lb - not sure can you see dr

we are having fun in the sunshine today
have been making weaning purees ready for weaning bracken in one weeks time. have made apple, pear, carrot and sweet potatoe

Moosy · 10/05/2009 17:32

What cream are you using LB? I used to use sudocrem or Asda's own zinc and castor oil bottom cream for the yucky creases under chins that go soggy with dribbly spilt milk. The idea is to form a barrier to keep the skin dry so it doesn't go mushy with being constantly wet, so dry it regularly and put LOADS of cream on all day long.

I also used to tie muslins round the neck (cowboy style!) so that spillage is soaked up before it gets to the skin/clothes. Do you have plenty of them?

lardybump · 10/05/2009 18:21

Oh yes moos I have lots of muslins... I will give sudocrem a go then I have been usin J&J moisturising balm..
