BB is that a clean nappy or a used one???

Bleuravin · 06/05/2009 22:35

what I mean is if the baby is laying across your lap do you hold your breast so your hand is say... perpendicular to her eyes (horizontal grasp) or parallel (verticular grasp)?

I wish I could manipulate Meg more, but she's really stubborn and she just 'freezes' and refuses to move...The few times I've managed to get her mouth open by pulling down her chin she sticks her hands in the way or suddenly lunges and we need to start all over...

JennyPenny22 · 06/05/2009 22:46

BB I am always loosing nappies (clean). But now I have too many to even notice if 10 went missing . I do have 2 DC in nappies though to be fair (still way too many though!).

BoffinMum · 06/05/2009 22:52

you could swaddle her if her hands are getting in the way (sorry feeding and typing at the moment) also express some and start the feed off via bottle and then get boob in when edge of hunger pangs taken off.

re position it's horizontal with me.

Bleuravin · 06/05/2009 23:20

swaddling makes her angry if she's hungry and she tosses herself backwards or forwards and thrashes around
I can try expressing a bit again though, and feeding it to her like I used to, good idea.
Just spent the last half hour fighting with her... Dh took her off me and they've gone for a walk...

Anybody know if there is anythinG I can take for constipation/hard stools while BF? Probably caused by eating so much crap but 12 days after childbirth it is not good!
