Springy, Boff, WFH!!

Ditto Pampers, epidural/ spinal/ forceps/ episi, BFing lasting for now, almost all his togs are plain white Mothercare basics. I've always been a lazy slattern, so I'm still the woman I always was .

Re: benign neglect - does knowing that you have a very full nappy, but continuing to chat on here instead of changing it count?

BabyBolat · 06/05/2009 12:51

Conker not juw re piles! I think my dr is rubbish so far he has failed to identify po contraception now pile mis-information!!

Bleu ((hugs)) only u can decide what to do but does seem like everything else outside the issue is not helping ur stress levels!!

Frekkles yay for labour! Really don't worry - I had all these plans for no drugs, active birth etc and I demanded epidural and c-section at various points in my labour! No one cab prepare you for just how much it hurts but you can get through it! The drip is nothing you don't even realize it's in! Well until the contractions kick in!! I'll be fine and it will all be worth it in a few hours when u have ur baby!! UR HAVING UR BABY - it's so exciting!!

Oh, George is also only in a vest - we have bare arms & legs here. & we use baby wipes. Cotton wool has never even touched his bum. However, I have now picked the purple-faced goon up & shoved him on my boob. Peace is restored & the chair is empty

BoffinMum · 06/05/2009 12:58

Juwes, it's a well-known fact that leaving full nappies on just that little bit longer is good for the environment

My special trick is devotedly changing Felix in the middle of the night, putting him back in the crib only to hear a botty explosion, and then thinking 'bugger it you little sod' and turning over and going back to sleep.

It's a miracle he's survived this long, I reckon.

BoffinMum · 06/05/2009 13:00

Frekkles, I have been known to demand a c-section during second stage in a birthing pool. Really, at the end of the day, a girl just has to do what a girl's gotta do when it comes to childbirth.

BabyBolat · 06/05/2009 13:06

Kara also has a lovely blue pop in nappy on he's just been changed and has no bottoms on so has chubby legs sticking out!

Just out of interest - if youe baby poos and then falls asleep, do you wake them to change them or wait till they wake up?

BoffinMum · 06/05/2009 13:59

Frekkles is in labour!! Frekkles is in labour!!!

JennyPennySoon2BeThimgummyWatsit - depends how long the nappy has been on, what their botty skin is like on any particular day, and how lazy I am feeling.

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 06/05/2009 14:08

My golden rule is Never Wake A Sleeping Baby.

Well almost never.

bleu infacol takes a while to kick in and has cumulative effect. give it 24 hours at least. Agree you need some hands-on advice re: bfing. How do they know it's not reflux ( I was fobbed off for three months)

hugs to you xx

tartetatin · 06/05/2009 14:28

Darn - I wanted to say good luck to Frekkles before she went.... great that she is finally in labour. It MUST be me next surely (I don't think there is anyone else left!!)

Hey

Quick Infacol question before I catch up... do you clean / sterilise the dripper in between feeds?

Okay need advice please... the last couple of days Hazel has been a bit more fretful especially after feeds, when no position I hold her in seems to be comfy for her, and she keeps crying in quite a high pitched tone. Could this be wind and therefore should I try Infacol?

PuzzleRocks · 06/05/2009 15:45

Bugger, I missed Frekkles.

GO FREKKLES GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

surprisenumber3 · 06/05/2009 15:45

I know this is late but Frekkles you'll be fine. Evie was back to back too, and I went on the drip as things weren't progressing, things really sped up once on the drip and as she started to move down, the Registrar was able to rotate her round when I got a contraction which resulted in her being the right way IYSWIM. yes, it was painful but I never felt I wanted an epidural as it was so quick once on drip (but don't worry if you do have one, you have to do what you feel is right at the time).

Sorry if this is a big babble but am really rushing to try and get it all out - maybe you're cuddling your gorgeous baby by now though

WhatFreshHellIsThis · 06/05/2009 15:46

could be wind - does she look blue around the mouth? Orbit has bad wind - Infacol helps, alo good burping all the way over my shoulder.

don't lie her flat or change her straight after a feed, and try taking her off for a burp half way through the feed and then at the end.
