My DH was asking Hannah if she wanted some pappodom (sp-sorry!) on Friday . It must be a man thing!

We have this afternoon been discharged from MWs because Hannah is now FINALLY back past birthweight.

Nutty - having no front teeth can't have helped your chances of pulling much.

In terms of social pariah-ness I just get really when people tell me what I 'should' or 'must' do. Isn't it more interesting when people do things differently and make different choices to each other? Also, the whole 'people in their early 20s don't know their own mind' 'you will change' I am very about. It is true that you change, and I am totally different to when I met DH but younger people are more flexible and are able to change together. Rant over lol.

9 days over. och well. Went to a festival yesterday and jumped about and danced for hours, had sex when i got back, been drinking gin in the sunshine today. think i may as well just forget i'm pregnant and carry on as normal. so used to being up the duff now it'll probably be worse not to be. tum ti tum, whatever.

blah

brettgirl2 · 03/05/2009 16:32

Frekkles, someone had to be last, but don't worry - we are all still here rooting for you and that gorgeous LO will be totally worth the wait!

frekkles · 03/05/2009 16:35

but hey. today i've had some brown mucusy discharge, lots of irregular braxton hicks, cramps in my pelvis, i feel constipated but can't poo and now my fanny is aching like it's been shagged to much.

sound like anything?

i'm pretty much constantly getting aches and cramps and tightenings just now. but there's no pattern or even any definate beginnings or endings, just lots of uncomfortableness . so tis nowt eh?

Nutty, WRT kinks with DH - I've been finding a few & we're on day 22! A few times now (including today) he's gone to sort out a meal / buy bread / whatever & ended up stuffing his own face with pork pies / crisps / chocolate so he's not hungry. ... Great. What about your constantly breastfeeding wife?

I've not mentioned this particular issue yet, because I'm full of nagging on other topics ("Why can't you pick him up when he starts to cry? I have to do all of the feeding, if he just wants a cuddle, why do I have to fetch him to determine what it is?" & so on ) but ARGH.

What doesn't help is that I'm not entirely convinced that I don't have PMT. I had what could've been ovulation pain last night (I've always had a lot of period-related pain) & got so thoroughly pissed off that I ended up screaming into a pillow & generally going a bit mental. I've not been that irritated in a long time. Many months. I've been upset / angry / irritated to that point, but not like that just because I was frustrated. Honestly, if I've gone straight back into the joy of periods without even a bbonus week, despite my constant & exclusive breastfeeding... Still. It might be nothing.

frekkles, your baby is obviously very comfortable in there - if hours of dancing & sex every day aren't budging it, there's little else you can do but wait Still, we're not going anywhere until you pop! We're all antenatal until we're all postnatal, remember. It sounds like you're enjoying yourself despite the pregnancy, at least - I hope you are xx

frekkles · 03/05/2009 16:42

oh nutty, i think i'm going to be pregnant forever!

SpringySponge · 03/05/2009 16:43

Nutty, your rebellious nature's become apparent before - like your unwavering determination to wear a white wedding dress because you were pregnant I think you're fabulous for it

frekkles, that does sound like things are gearing up. It doesn't sound like early labour yet, but the bit just before it.

frekkles · 03/05/2009 16:45

cheers springy and brettgirl. hugs and all that. having trouble believing it'll ever happen.

i think i'm going to eat some fudge brownie ice cream and go to sleep. sod it

brettgirl2 · 03/05/2009 16:50

Frekkles, I think it sounds quite hopeful. The jumping up and down and sex must have done something. I went into labour having seriously overdone it the day before.

You aren't going to be pg for ever and there really is a baby in there (I remember starting to doubt this)

Springy I suspect that I will get a period before too long, mine tend to be quite determined to persist through anything. I think not having them is one of the few perks of being pregnant actually. I don't think the BFing thing works for everyone.

Nutty you sound quite like me, I can't stand being told what to do .

Bleuravin · 03/05/2009 17:00

Yeah juw I've been taking Ibuprofen and paracetamol alternately.

Bleuravin · 03/05/2009 17:06

I was told that the only way bf works in staving off periods is if you bf like clockwork... every 2 hours...otherwise the fertility hormones can kick in and you ovulate...
But as we all know I've been to see ever Mw this side of the severn...and heard a lot of sh8

SpringySponge · 03/05/2009 17:13

frekkles, the ice cream & sleep sound like great ideas xx

& I expected to get my periods back sooner rather than later, just because the idea of not having them was too good to be true. But I was hoping for a brief window of not being pregnant or in the middle of a menstrual cycle. Hopefully I'm being paranoid. Just as well I wasn't relying on BF as contraception, though

brettgirl2 · 03/05/2009 17:15

I didn't like to ask about that Springy. You could have joined the 'due Jan 10' thread

Bleuravin · 03/05/2009 17:16

i second the ice cream and sleep idea!
but i just woke from a 'i don't care what the baby's doing you're going to take care of her or I'll chuck you both out of the house' nap...I'm not sure I'm allowed icecream for being so selfish...

SpringySponge · 03/05/2009 17:32

The thought of being part of that thread makes me feel a little bit sick I doubt I'll be ever be such an active member of another thread anyway - I've lurked on other antenatal threads & ours really is unusual. Perhaps I'll keep an eye on the TTC lists & base my own pregnancies on who seems to be good company

& Bleu, it's not selfish at all. We all need a nap at the moment & you more than most! Get yourself some ice cream.

SpringySponge · 03/05/2009 17:36

Even if it's not PMT, I'm really hormonal. GAH.
