Here it is ladies. Shall we start with a roll call like the efficient ladies over on April 2005?

Logic, that's it. your going to have to get down on all fours and clean the kitchen floor. Drastic situations call for drastic measures.

Sounds like babe is on the way though.

logic · 13/05/2005 12:19

Cleaned the bathroom floor instead but no joy I don't even care that it's Friday 13th, I wish her out so much. I have to go back in on Monday for a sweep. I am going to try and be positive and enjoy the sunshine today, maybe sit in the garden and watch ds run around. Anyone got any nice plans for the weekend?

maymum · 13/05/2005 12:24

Logic - still thinking of you...

hollya, my MW appointments are 2 weeks apart now too. I saw the midwife yesterday a 38w3d, then not again until 40w3d, if I make that far. At that appointment she'll book me a hosp appt. for 40w+10days to discuss induction. I was miffed earlier in pregnancy that my appointments weren't more regular, but I'm not so worried now. She said that at this stage, MWs need to listen to the mum, because it's us who know best - baby's movemement patterns etc. I can always ring and speak to a midwife if I'm worried about anything, and if need be they'll tell me to go to hosp for monitoring, or they'll visit me at home. You should be able to do the same. As long as everything seems OK to you, don't worry!

hollya · 13/05/2005 13:24

oh logic you poor thing! these babies of ours just don't want to play ball! i have a sweep next week too and it sounds really scary and painful, but if it works i'm up for anything at the moment.
i just ate a whole pineapple! yum! at least some of these supposed labour inducing things can be tasty!
spoke to my mum earlier and she said just make the most of your relaxing time now coz this will be the last time forever! maybe this will be the attitude i'll take now. i've kind of resigned myself to the fact i'm gonna be induced, so if it happens naturally it'll be a nice surprise!

Holly290505 · 13/05/2005 13:48

Hi everyone - lots of best wishes for those of you in the late club. I have been attempting to sort out the mother situation but it looks like I'm going to have to grin and bear it. On top of that I have been recalled to the hospital to have blood trsts for RH factor antibodies (I'm -ve) repeated - for the SECOND time - because they didn't fill in my DOB on the test tube. Am so Pi**ed off with incompetent idiots that I'm begnning to dread having to trust them during labour...Arrgghh.

Just to add to that it looks like I might have mumps - apparently not dangerous to the baby but painful and annoying. Just hope I don;t get to that late club or I'm going to be the biggest moaner on here

Anyway the moan makes me feel a bit better - good luck all - fingers crossed for you esp logic and hollya sounds like you're nearly there!

Oh Logic, really thought it was it for you, you sound gutted, hopefully it won't be long now ((hugs))

uwila · 13/05/2005 18:27

My last day of work ws today...

Need I say more?

18mumtobe · 13/05/2005 18:47

best wishes to you logic, hope its not too long now.

Maddison · 13/05/2005 20:54

Excellent Uwila - you seem very happy indeed!!

Weezle · 14/05/2005 08:47

Bad luck Logic - am sending positive labour thoughts to you and the rest of the ladies in the late club. Hopefully it won't be long now...

cab · 14/05/2005 08:59

Logic hope things are moving along now.
For anyone feeling like a beached whale - I was almost hitting 13 stones but am back down to 10.5 st already - ok I'll have to work hard on the tummy muscles, but am over the moon to be able to see my feet!!
And an update on the intruder -the village grapevine discovered who it was for me. Someone came round with a photo for me to id yesterday so am feeling huge relief because it was just a man who had got incredibly drunk and became disorientated on his way home. He doesn't remember it at all and I have decided to let it drop rather than stress myself even more with a court case/whatever.
Thinking of you all.

tab · 14/05/2005 10:39

Wow cab, sounds like you've done brilliantly and that weight has really dropped off. It must make you feel so much better. Im so looking forward to ditching some of the whale and being able to move properly and to see my feet again - its so impossible to put socks on, Ive been having to get dh to do it for me. ds (2.10) thinks its very funny. He was so sweet this morning - I asked him if he had a name we could call the baby and he said "superbaby". Aarrgh!!

cab you sound as if you've been so brave re this intruder and the follow up. I suppose it must be v reassuring to know that there was nothing malicious about it, although it must have really scared you. I agree, the last thing you want to be worrying about right now is court cases, statements and the like.

Congratulations uwila - its a good feeling isnt it. Just stay there on the sofa!!
Logic and everyone else - thinking of you. It cant be long now. It just cant. Logic I think you really deserve to be next.

Im feeling quite fed up as just found out that I have a urine infection though might explain why Ive been feeling quite so crap. Hopefully anti btcs will kick in soon.

logic · 14/05/2005 16:36

Wow, you've done brilliantly on the weight loss, Cab! Glad you are getting over your intruder ordeal too.

Hope you feel better soon Tab. Urine infections make you feel awful don't they?

Just want to say thanks for all the support from everyone. It really helps to be able to share stuff that you can't really talk to family about. Let's hope that everyone in the "late club" has their babies soon!

muppety · 14/05/2005 17:39

Hello.

I have only just discovered this section and have read with interest. Hope you don't mind me butting in.

I am due my 2nd ds on 21/5. First is 20 months and was 6d early so fingers crossed. The problem is I just feel far to tired to go into labour. I need my sleep so hope it happens in the daytime!!

Lots of luck to you all.

tab · 14/05/2005 19:17

Hi muppety and welcome. I know what you mean about feeling too tired. MY ds is 34 months and I really want to tidy the house etc and be rested - an impossible task. Im due 24/5. Having said that at this stage you just want something to happen!

Preggars · 14/05/2005 19:41

Welcome to the May club Muppety. Your due the day before me. I'm expecting a DD this time (have wonderful DS already).

Been playing toddler football with him in the garden this afternoon (trying to spontaneously rupture my membranes to get this baby out!).

Well done with the weight loss Cab.

I weighed myself in Boots this afternoon (obviously a masachist - sp?!) - anyway, have gained 1 stone 10lb, which is ok. Thought I would be rounder carrying a girl, but to be honest, I'm carrying the same as with DS. Really looking forward to seeing my toes again. Anytime now...

muppety · 14/05/2005 19:48

1st 10lb thats amazing. I gained 4st 1st time and 3stone this time. Having said that I never lost the last stone so am the same weight in the end. Past caring at this stage!!

logic · 14/05/2005 19:55

Welcome Muppety! Know exactly what you feel about being too tired for labour. I've told DH that when the time comes, I'll stay in bed and he can call the paramedics

Have you seen our May stats thread?
It's here

I think you'd be mad to say no, myermay! If they offer, then why not? It would be different if you asked them. They get to spend time with your ds and he gets used to being with other people. We don't go out that often mostly because we've been too tired lately, but the PILs take ds for the night at least once a week at the moment. Even if we just stay in and watch TV, it's lovely "us" time!

shhhh · 14/05/2005 21:53

preggers I can't believe how little you have out on or maybe it me who has put on to much !!?. I have put on 2st 7lbs!! I'm only 4ft 11in so thats alot for me. I haven't gone mad eating wise and in fact I have been quite healthy eating veg and now salads and lots of fruit. I did go through a chocolate stage at about 16-26ish wks but now it's ice lollies that I can't get enough of which i'm sure can't be to bad.!!
Oh well suppose I will use cab as a role model as I am determined to try and get back down to my pre baby weight although given our history i'm proud of myself for getting to this stage that i'm not to concerned about the weight I have put on. Anyway we will all have the spring and early summer to loose the weight and imagine being pregnant over the summer esp when we are forecast a heatwave !!!

fashill · 14/05/2005 22:30

Havne't been on for a while but really thought we'd have some more birth announcements - positive thoughts you way logic

Been having a lot more braxton hicks than normal and feeling V nauseous, tingly cervix, emotional and a bit weird. Should I be thinking something is likely to happen soon, or is that just wishful thinking?!

Feeling V fat, sick of lack of clothes, sick of not beign able to be as active as normal and having to roll out of bed and sick of discovering new stretchmarks, so you ladies aren't the only ones Still I do try to keep thinking positively about this little miracle. Although having looked round clothes shops with my brother today was just wishing I could buy some of the lovely summer stuff that I would normally be buying now.

cab you're my roll model, I hope I lose it as quickly as you!!
