Yay, go Oddeyes!

So, I reckon that Oddeyes will have her baby in the early hours and BB will have hers tomorrow afternoon.

BoffinMum · 01/04/2009 21:37

BB went into total nesting hyperdrive and starting ripping down tiles in her bathroom. She then inadvertently pulled a load of plasterboard chunks out of the wall. Her waters may have then gone, so of course she carried on with the DIY until about 7. She had also had some show by then. Her DH is currently clearing up. They are planning to rebuild the walls tomorrow. The woman is deranged.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 21:40

Boffin - ROFL so true

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:40

Oh my days BB that is nesting in the extreme - thought the idea was to make the place clean and tidy not rip holes in walls . Leave the tidying to dh - what did he say on his return from work?
I had nesting rush today, blamed it on paretns in law but in hindsight much of it wasn't nescessary and wish i had gone for a nap when i put ds down for his.

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:41

thanks for that boff was just wondering how I was going to catch up

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:42

oh no swali do you think, am hoping for longer sleeps than that!

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:43

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:44

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 21:44

this is all so exciting!!!! i dont know about you labouring girls, i hope you do manage to get some good nap time in but i'm never going to get any sleep from checking MN LOL

BabyBolat · 01/04/2009 21:45

DH tidied everything and hoovered the entire house! I have put some washing on just in case I do need to go in to hospital so at least DH will have some clean boxers on our return!!

Hospital just phoned and IF it is my waters then they will probably induce me Friday morning if nothing happens before hand!

Do you know the most annoying thing is that I was fannying around stressing about getting tiles off without damaging the walls (not very well) and hurting my hands in the process then DH comes home, decides it is not worth salvaging and the walls are ripped down and tidied up in an hour and a half!!!

Oddeyes, go to bed now and try and get some sleep. If you get some sleep then you will be fine when it comes to. It's amazing how well you can do on very little sleep when your body is under the influence of birthing hormones.

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:48

so your bathroom has no walls? do you have a second bathroom?

OddEyes · 01/04/2009 21:50

Swaliswan · 01/04/2009 21:52

Night Oddeyes. Good luck and enjoy!

soon2befamilyof4 · 01/04/2009 21:58

By the way - are hot baths ok now? I have been fancying one for ages but I know you shouldn't during pregnancy but wasn't sure if it was ok now I am at term? I used to have a steaming hot bath most nights and as my back and ribs are killing me, it would be lovely!

conkertree · 01/04/2009 22:01

right off to watch the apprentice extra programme and then bed. hope to be on with exciting news from oddeyes tomorrow.

sorry dont know about hot baths.

Have fun Conker xx

Soon2Be - i have been having hot baths all the way through??

OP posts:
BoffinMum · 01/04/2009 22:03

You can have a hot bath but just be aware if you start to go a bit dizzy you will need to put a bit of cold in there. Also put someone on standby when you get out perhaps. I have done saunas and steam rooms and allsorts in pg, but in moderation and with a minder to keep an eye on me!!
