Morning surprise, glad you are feeling a bit better if not completely cured!!

I seem to be having bouts of unexpected rage today, to the point that I want to physically scream and hit things - that can't be normal - just got yet another text from someone asking if the baby has come (not how are you or what you up to, simply 'has the baby come' ) and threw my phone at the wall which now has chipped paint

Is there a polite what of saying 'no f-off and don't text me again if you have nothing to say apart from where is the baby'

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 10:05

Springy - do you have your sponge??

OP posts:
bronze · 01/04/2009 10:05

morning all
though its a lot later than when I first started reading

SpringySponge · 01/04/2009 10:05

My belly button's fine. Freaky, but not painful. But then I'm ages from birthing, so...

My sponge is fine, thank you BB. DH woke me up, laughing, to ask if I'd been eating it. He wouldn't believe me when I said no & I didn't have a sense of humour about it because I was half asleep & I HAVEN'T eaten any. I couldn't now, anyway - I'm emotionally attached

& we had a chat. Not the chat, per se. Enough of a chat to have a good night last night, though. He got his much longed for BJ & it didn't seem like a chore to me, so everyone's a winner

brettgirl2 · 01/04/2009 10:06

If only chocolate induced labour.....

I still have an innie btw.

brettgirl2 · 01/04/2009 10:06

Oh and I'm famous, I've been quoted in the local rag

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 10:07

BB - Awwwwww ((hugs)) it is quite normal for that level of frustration ti kick in about now, the MW wont have helped though xx

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 01/04/2009 10:08

BB, perhaps try something like:

'No, still waiting for the baby. Have put DH on the case of notifying everyone when it arrives, so keep your phone on! Don't worry if you try to get in touch & my phone's off - I'm enjoying the last opportunity for peace at the moment!'

You don't even have to turn it off if you don't want to - hopefully they'll get the hint & wait patiently.

Morning bronze

BabyBolat · 01/04/2009 10:08

I still have an innie too - my belly button only hurts around the old belly button piercing scars.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 10:08

Springy - LOL at emotionaly attached! Yay for the chat and getting some satisfaction

Brettgirl - yay for your famousness, can you link??

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 01/04/2009 10:09

springy is it wrong that I prefer the f-off one!! very well said tho!

Juwesm · 01/04/2009 10:09

BB - text back something along the lines of 'I'm fine thankyou, how are you?'.

I often have the urge to throw DHs iPhone at the wall.

My belly button went outy on me weeks ago!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 10:10

my Bellybutton is flat but slightly pokey outy if the baby moves to a certain place

OP posts:
SmuttyNuttyTaff · 01/04/2009 10:11

BB - i would probably have done the same as you and i would preffer the f off approach so i'm no help

OP posts:
SpringySponge · 01/04/2009 10:11

I prefer the f-off one as well, BB - but it depends who you're responding to I still haven't had a single 'where's the baby?' text yet. I've had people angling for that, but they're managing to wrap it up as general concern for my well-being so far. Still, I'm a week & a half away from due. I'm sure it'll kick off.

& yes, what were you quoted as saying brettgirl?

bronze · 01/04/2009 10:12

lots of thoughts going round my head

purple- tell little ones the truth re death and dont worry about being sad in front of them. We have a bit of a menagerie or did anyway so my lot have got used to things dying. Our dog (my first baby) died when ds1 was 3 and a half and ds2 was 22 months. We just told them the truth. That he was very old and ill and that he had gone to sleep because he was hurting and he hadnt woken up again. But that it was good as he was no longer in pain. I cried on a few occasions so just told them I was sad as I missed him. Children are pretty matter of fact about these things.

Wheres the best place to hire a tens from. I've decided if I cant have anything else I'll have a tens...

now I cant remember the other things

bronze · 01/04/2009 10:15

Soon2be
I'll be using washables (got them packed in my hospital bag) and I think bb? is as well

Where is my other flipflops. My favourite pair. They're black leather and so comfy and ones GONE!!!

brettgirl2 · 01/04/2009 10:16

Haha, can't link - they don't post their news online.

It's all about the tyre slashing that went on round here a couple of weeks ago (DH had his car damaged). I describe the perpetrators as 'mindless'. It doesn't actually carry my name btw but it may not be that hard for them to work it out. Oh well .

Juwesm · 01/04/2009 10:16

Bronze - I hired my TENS from here. The deals seemed reasonable (not that I did any shopping around, and I think the NCT gets £5 for each hire, or something like that.

BabyBolat · 01/04/2009 10:17

Right I am going to demolish the bathroom I think - may be back in 30 minutes it it is too difficult but am hoping all will be fine - it does involve ripping off tiles and wood panelling (I don't know what they were thinking!) so may help my mood!

Juwesm · 01/04/2009 10:17

Close bracket!

BabyBolat · 01/04/2009 10:18

Yep soon2be I am using them - have newborn disposables for the hospital but washables for home x

SpringySponge · 01/04/2009 10:19

brettgirl, it'll be difficult for them to work it out if it's an accurate description

BB, do be careful! xx

brettgirl2 · 01/04/2009 10:21

That's true springy, I hadn't looked at it like that!

bronze · 01/04/2009 10:22
