Thanks Ladies - off to do some expressing now. They will freeze it here so she can have it when she's ready for it, which I think is fab!

glaskham · 17/03/2009 18:27

Congrats Star... sorry to hear Charlotte is having surgery but as you say the staff really are great aren't they, and i'm sure once she's out of SCBU she'll be absolutly fine- I have to count my blessings that Ruby was born with no problems except being early. I know how stressfull it is having them in SCBU, and am sending you lots of love at this time. If you need to chat about anything to do with her being in there- even just vent feelings i'm here and have been through the separation just recently so can completly relate!!... Love to you and your family!!xxx

Diege · 17/03/2009 18:46

Many congrats STAR! Gorgeous name too. I'm sure the surgery will go well, and while it will be hard being in hospital you will be home with Charlotte before you know it .
Right, bed time routine beckons!

kookykid · 17/03/2009 19:03

CONGRATULATIONS STAR!!!!

Sounds like Charlotte's birth went fantastically well. Hope the sugery now goes smoothly, it sounds like you're all being well looked after.

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 17/03/2009 19:25

congrats star beautiful name
wishing her all the best sure all will be well

idreamofbeanie · 17/03/2009 19:46

CONGRATULATIONS!!! Star

What a beautiful name! Sorry DD has to have an operation but I'm glad to hear you are being well looked after. I hope you are both home very soon.

Hi everyone - I've been quietly watching out for any congratulations messages but not spending much time on MN so sorry for ignoring everyone else. I am not really a worrier but I am surprisingly anxious about my scan on Monday so I'm trying to avoid baby/pregnancy thoughts/chat until then. I'll be a proper full-time wagoner again next week!

glaskham · 17/03/2009 19:49

IDOB- dont be worried, We all go through them thoughts etc... Even me with my violent sickness had visions of going for a scan and there being nothing!! I'm sure all is fine and you're worried for nothing!!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 17/03/2009 19:50

Wow!! Just seen Playing's update on FB!

I know not everyone's on FB and am sure she'll be on here as soon as she can but I hope she won't mind me quoting her FB post here:
"6 day failed induction, emergency c-section and then a 7 day stay in the NICU; baby Edward is home and well, what a 2 weeks!"

Great to welcome another baby - congrats Playing! Sounds like you had a bit of a time of it but great that Edward is now home.

We're here when you're ready!!

GruffaloSoldier · 17/03/2009 19:50

theres baby news from playing on her FB!

GruffaloSoldier · 17/03/2009 19:50

lol x posts ses!

Playingthe9monthwait · 17/03/2009 19:51

Hi all,

Sorry for being missing in action for so long. Must also apologise for not catching up on the thread. I can see Star has had her little girl, Congratulations! I am really sorry if I have missed anyone else.

I promise I will make time to come on here tomorrow and catch up properly. Just wanted to post quicly to say all is ok.

Went to hospital on Friday 27th Feb for routine trace prior to my induction on Sunday. Blood pressure was 165/115 so was told I was not going home that night and was going to be induced right away. 6 days and 1 pathetic cm later I was wisked away for an emergency c-section (even after the max 6 doses of prostin, waters eventually broken and the max dose of synotcin for the 8 hour limit, DS1 was not budging). Little Edward Lewis Stainer was born at 10:54am on 4th March weighing 5lb 12ozs. All seemed well for a few hours but then it became clear that he couldn't maintain his glucose levels so was taken away to the NICU. A week later his glucose had stabilised and we brought him home at the end of last week.

Right must go and eat food. Will log on tomorrow to catch up with everyones news.

Playingthe9monthwait · 17/03/2009 19:52

x -posts with all of you!! Right I am going now.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 17/03/2009 19:52

IDOB - as Glaskham says, it is normal to worry. Hope the next few days go as quickly as they can for you. No reason to think anything is wrong and hope you enjoy seeing your bean on Mon

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 17/03/2009 19:55

Loads of x-posting!!

Playing -
Thanks for the update - hope you didn't mind me posting but didn't know if you'd get chance and knew everyone was eager for an update!

Hi Gruff! How are you doing this evening?

glaskham · 17/03/2009 20:01

Ses- i had just been searching through to see if i could work out who's update it was- i'm no good with names to MN names!! haha!!

Playing- well done!! Haven't been 'allowed' (FB messing about with linking) to see the whole album but the few pics i could see on my update screen he is gorgeous!!

GruffaloSoldier · 17/03/2009 20:02

Congrats Star! Such a beautiful name and glad you got a good birth. Hope all goes well with Charlotte's stay in GOS - sounds like she is being well looked after.

Congrats too to Playing. So pleased that Edward has arrived safe and well after what sounds like a ordeal of a birth experience.

Morning all,

Thought would update list with new arrivals and take Star's syndicate off the list since no one was anywhere near guessing correctly! Nothing happening here except baby feels a bit lower down I think, but difficult to tell really.

Wonder if we'll have anymore arrivals this week....
