I meant that you spent money on the 0-3 month stuff and will want to get as much wear as possible out of them. I don't see any point in putting a baby in clothes that are still a little too big if the previous size fits fine.

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 03/04/2009 13:27

oh whoops i c she has been in 0-3 month clothes since 5 weeks old. the clothes r definetly getting abit tite now

Just been and made an appointment to have my hair dyed. The home kit hasn't made it as dark as I want it. I am really excited.

lardybump · 03/04/2009 13:45

morning all hope you are all well..... We have decided to try osteopath with DS so going to call them to make an appointment today...

Can not believe he will be six weeks tomorrow where has the time gone?

kayzr · 03/04/2009 13:57

Just watched a program about predicting the sex of your baby. There were 4 women and what each woman guessed she was having was right. Also if your bump is round then you are having a boy or if it is more pointed you are having a girl.

kayzr · 03/04/2009 14:18

Ooooh some excitement in my family. My brother has a trial with Newcastle United!! Maybe he'll become a famous footballer and he can buy me a nice car!!!

Moosy · 03/04/2009 16:31

Hi Gruff, was it today that you were seeing the consultant?

sorkycakey · 03/04/2009 17:21

Dd2 is just over 11lbs Tink and the 3-6 mo is too big for her.

Moosy · 03/04/2009 18:07

Don't you just keep them in what they've got until it doesn't fit anymore?? I've never taken much notice of the ages on the labels!

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2009 19:53

Hi all,

sorry for quick post before, I have had a very busy couple of days.

Hi Moosy - yep did see the consultant today. Had a scan and they are happy with water levels so Im being put back to mw care HOORAY!!!!!No more to-ing and fro-ing to hospital with crappy parking

Have more good news - our nursery is finally ready

Bad news is - our boiler is dead and we def have to buy a new one which is going to be near £2K. Not good, also have no hot water and no heating and doesn't look like we are going to get a new one anytime soon. Fingers crossed we don't get snow as I thionk that might finish me off! Please all think keep- baby-in vibes until we are sorted.

Right sorry for me post. Im going to catch up now and try and destress!!!

sorkycakey · 03/04/2009 20:03

Moos how are your Dd's today?

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 03/04/2009 21:48

oh no gruff thinking keep me in baby thoughts

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2009 21:59

lol! thanks tink Xmas Grin

Moosy · 03/04/2009 22:10

Much better thanks Sorky, DD1 was sent to bed 10 minutes early (and before DD2, horror of horrors!). She was lying on DD2 saying "Tabby, does that hurt? Are you going to cry?" while T made crushed noises and said "get off get off!" . She had a tantrum about it and seemed really shocked when she realised I actually meant it! (hmm, have I been too soft on her of late?) All better very soon though and asleep much earlier than last night. Hoping for a lie in tomorrow (haha).

Keeping legs fingers crossed that Gruffette stays put for a bit Gruff, and if it's any consolation, when we had our new boiler last year it was only a week from calling a plumber to having new boiler in place and working. Took 1 day to put in.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 03/04/2009 22:24

Hi! Is anyone around to answer a silly first timer question about BH?
About 5pm I noticed bump felt a bit tight. Since then I've felt a mixture of some mild period pain type feelings low down, hard bump and occassional feelings of gradual tightenings. It's not completely gone at any point.
Does this sound like BH?

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2009 22:56

definitely Ses, Ive been getting it from 30 weeks and it sounds the same

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2009 22:59

eek at no baths for a week though Moosy!! Not a good time to have persistent back pain. Oh well. i keep thinking it could be worse - much worse

Fingers crossed for your lie in tomorrow

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2009 23:01

sorry ses just reread, do you mean pains are never gone or tightenings? mine do go eventually??!! do they get better when you change position?

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 03/04/2009 23:09

Thanks Gruff!
Seems to have calmed down a bit now. I just wasn't expecting 5 hrs or so at a time. Also, although I could sometimes feel specific tightenings, I couldn't easily identify individual contractions as such. I've been suspecting BH for a couple of weeks but this was the most obvious it's felt. Baby is now wriggling loads!

Anyway, sorry for "me" posting ...

Great news on your appointment Gruff. Everything crossed here for Gruffette to stay put.

Will try and catch up properly tomorrow.

GruffaloSoldier · 03/04/2009 23:13

my DH just put his ear to my bump and can hear baby's heart beat its def baby's not mine - how amazing
