Sorry x-posted!

Uncomfortable period like pains didn't really go between 5pm and 10.30pm with occassional tightenings on top if that makes sense. Felt really tired too. Does seem to have passed now.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 03/04/2009 23:26

Sorry x-posted again! On phone which is slowing me down. Yay for DH hearing Gruffette's hb
I think my DH would mainly hear my tummy gurgling!!

Right, will try and get some sleep and catch up tomorrow!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 04/04/2009 05:56

Hello

Grim night here... anyone up to share a pot of tea on the wagon sofa ??

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 04/04/2009 06:19

Odd time of day to do a catch up but hey...

Gruff- hurray for waters being ok and being back with MW care! but big BOOOO for the boiler, its a real pain at anytime but especially so right now as well as being huge cost...

Meant to say before but its good to see Sorky and Moosy back...

STT- sorry for commenting late but really pleased your scan went well... now to count the days to the 20wk scan- all so exciting
I miss that anticipation about being pregnant and I've only not been pregnant for less than 2 wks (pls slap me!)

LB good luck with the osteo, sorry to read of all your troubles with DS, you really have had a run of it... Xmas Sad

Ses- definately sounds like BHs. I had the periody type pains on and off from about 35 wks, so much so I was sure MiniGyo would be eraly but she wasnt ... the night before labour kicked off they were much stronger and no mistaking the change

Moosy - how are you feeling now about the BFP? All so exciting... do you other DCs know? Sorry to read of your troubles wiht them.

Kayz- yay about your brothers footie trial. When is it?

Sorkey- hows things going for your and managing with the 4 DCS? Given how badly I feel Im doing with one (ie struggling to do anything other than feed her, myself and sleep) I think its amazing.

I know I've missed loads of stuff and people but hi everyone else. Xmas Grin

Struggling a bit here tonight, been up literally all night with maybe 1hr sleeps here and there... DH is on the sofa as we have a guest in the spare room (!!) and feeding in the night alone is sooo lonely...

If I ask him for support or just ask for cuddle he wants to solve it all and gets so frustrated when I wont agree to start expressing yet so he can help. MW said wait til DD is at least back to her birth wt so I dont mess up my supply... Really need to lounge on the wagon sofa for a bit with hot tea and brownies (low fat ones as none of my pre preg jeans are even hinting at fitting

sorkycakey · 04/04/2009 08:24

Builders brew on offer here GYo . It's Yorkshire Tea, the best!

Whose staying with you? I think you're mighty brave to have guests staying. Btw my Dh is the same. He finds it hard to just lend his ear and shoulder and feels the need to "solve it" , so I can see where you're coming from.

How's our mini giraffe doin?
You sound as if you're doin brilliantly sweetie x

In the early weeks I do find it very restrictive, whilst you get the hang of having her with you 24/7. Suddenly the bump seems rather convenient doesn't it?

4 is fine now, but it's taken 6 weeks and some uncomfortable compromises........ and Dh effectively working a 3 day week from 4 weeks to get there, eek!
It was rather hairy at the start I can tell ya
But now it's not really any different, bit more washing, bit more to pack to go out.
I've just mastered the folding of the P&T, now truly love it!

Started expressing this week as well. I need to get a decent amount in the freezer for the end of this month because we're going to see Waiting For Godot one afternoon and I'm not taking her with us.

kayzr · 04/04/2009 08:55

Morning,

I am a bit this morning. MIL had DS1 yesterday and she asked when we wanted him home. So we said by 7 as he goes to bed at half 7. He came home at 5 PAST 9!!!! I am really really pissed off about it.

I have just done 30 minutes of my exercise dvd and I feel like I have been hit by a bus. But in a good way!

GYo Sorry you are having a rough time. I think having a guest to stay so early on is very brave.

Hello everyone!

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 04/04/2009 09:43

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 04/04/2009 10:06

have pics on

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 04/04/2009 10:59

Morning!

GYo - Sorry you've had such a tough night. I'll cook up a batch of brownies with extra chocolate chips! Hope you have managed to get some rest.

tink - just had a look at your piccies and you're right, you do have 2scrummygirls!

Kay - how is DS1 today? Can't think how/why your MIL thought that was ok!! Well done on the exercise dvd!

I'm feeling much better this morning. Although BH weren't especially painful, they seemed a bit draining if that makes sense?

Spoke to bf this morning. Her DD (3yo) was chatting away to me as well. I heard her ask her mum whether my baby was a boy or a girl and she was told "we don't know". She then said "Why don't we know? Oh, it's because we can't see in her tummy!" and at the end called out "Bye, bye! And bye bye to the baby too!" She is sooooo cute!!

Have to do some cleaning today. Baby's room is coming on - how has curtains, wallpaper border and wardrobe with some bits in but I need to clear out a box, dust and vacuum in prep for the cotbed arriving on Monday!!

Kooky - (don't know if you're around) but thanks for the recommendations of the Ina May Gaskin book and they hypnobirthing book/cd. They've both arrived this morning!

Diege · 04/04/2009 11:39

Morning!! SES, sounds very much like bh, except for the 'not going' bit! As GYO says, pretty normal for period-type cramps/tightenings etc in weeks leading up to labour. Wouldn't it be sod's law for you to go into labour just as you started mat leave .
TINKS, gorgeous piccies!
KAYZ at your MIL (yet again). Can you imagine if it was you late for her??
GYO, sorry for rubbish night Well done on having guests - that's amazing! Hope you get a chance to get a rest today - could dh take dd out for a little bit so you can get some sleep? (know that can be hard if not expressing yet)
SORKY, glad there's a light at end of tunnel after first 6 weeks or so with 4...I have been in that horrible 'what have I done' panic for last few days, as dds seem to be bikering constantly and the easter hols are looming... Can't wait for the 'just extra eashing etc' stage! We will all be going on hols first 2 weeks in august; do you think the worst will be over by then? (due mid-June).
Have meal out tonight with dh's pub quiz group. I really just want to stay in, but have to go to this one...just feel really unsociable at the moment, plus knackered!

KinderEggKayzr · 04/04/2009 11:48

Look I'm all eastery!!!

Diege · 04/04/2009 13:22

Like it KAYZ

Moosy · 04/04/2009 13:41

Afternoon all, we got our lie in this morning and DD1 has woken up all nice again I haven't had to tell her off yet today so definitely an improvement!

Diege · 04/04/2009 14:38

Lie-in sounds good MOOS! How are you feeling in yourself?

Moosy · 04/04/2009 15:12

I'm ok so far, but I think the tiredness is trying to creep in. I WILL NOT got MS this time though. I'm sure it's partly psychological so if I think I feel fine than I will. Yes. That'll do it.

Am still bursting to tell someone on RL. DB and SIL who is about 21 weeks are coming next week for Easter and it will really hard not to spill then but I'm determined, partly because I'm not sure that my parents' reaction will be 100% positive what with the barn/caravan etc.

How's your new kitchen/bathroom, is it lovely?

Diege · 04/04/2009 15:55

Moos, you remind me so much of me in the lead up to MS appearing with no.4 It did help to have numbers for acupuncture, preggie pops ordered etc, but in the end the only thing that got me through was the thought that it wasn't forever! (and the promise of proper meds from GP). Really hope you are lucky though and manage to avoid/have a milder version .
Kitchen/bathroom are great thanks. Still as messy and disorganised as always, but at least the mess is in a nicer 'setting' . That reminds me, must get new dyson out!

Moosy · 04/04/2009 16:02

It's all about the preparation you see, like if you take an umbrella it won't rain. The day before my BFP I bought 2 boxes of tampons. Now I am dividing up portions of mince, diced bacon and (in a few days) chopped chicken so I won't have todeal with raw meat when I'm pukey. That way it won't happen.

Might dice some onions etc too if there's freezer space, hmmm, what else can I chop?

Diege · 04/04/2009 16:35

hmmm, sounds like a plan..although what set me back a bit was the fact that come the puke fest even the breeze of the cold from the fridge set me off..All credit to you with the chopping though, although I found leaving it all the dh the best plan

Moosy · 04/04/2009 16:36

Rats.

Have just put 3.8kg of mince into 13 takeaway boxes and put in the freezer, now have no space for the chickens. Must find space for 18 more boxes.

Bugger.

Moosy · 04/04/2009 16:38

Good idea in theory Diege, but DH is rarely here at tea-getting time, and I buy the cheap chickens from Asda and joint them myself (saves LOADS of money!) and DH would have no clue where to start with that!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 04/04/2009 16:39

Moos - LOL at the preparation but you are so right! It's definitely worth a try! Glad the DDs are on better behaviour!

Diege - not so LOL at labour being soon!! Admittedly I don't want to be late but I could do with another few weeks yet!! No further sign of BH today (yet!) but I guess they'll keep coming and going now. We're off out for a meal tonight (rest of my area team from work as a farewell!)I'm looking forward to it. Hope your evening is better than you expect. I know what you mean about some days just not wanting to do the social thing.

It's a beautiful day here. DH is out gardening again and one of the dogs is running round the garden like a mad thing and the other one is just lying on the patio in the sun

Diege · 04/04/2009 16:42

Yes, take your point! Like the idea of jointing chickens too - agree, must save loads - although as one of my last purchases was ready peeled spuds I can't see me making the leap to the chicken just yet . I must say the only thing I still can't stomach at 28 weeks is garlic..not sure what to have at chinese restaurant tonight other than boiled rice

Diege · 04/04/2009 16:43

x-posts SES! Emjoy your evening - sounds fun . The later it is getting the less I feel like going out, but it must be done...

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 04/04/2009 17:01

Thanks! Hope you enjoy it when you do get there...
The only food I've really been off all pregnancy is curry which I used to love. I'm hoping if I need to, I'll be able to force some down in a few weeks though!

Diege · 04/04/2009 17:08

Same here SES with curry. Never had that problem when pregnant with dds..maybe a boy thing?
