Morning!

Star - Fab news about Charlotte coming home! Congratulations! Enjoy her!

So exciting about Cosmo! I can't wait to hear!!!!!! I'm gonna win the syndicate, I'm gonna win the syndicate!

Ses - glad you had a good night at NCT and that Dh is coming around! I'm so of your ML being just around the corner! Hope the last few days are super easy and then you're home free!

LB - as others have said please don't worry about having a vent on here. I can't imagine how tough it must be with DS - but hopefully he's turning a corner now. Here, have some brownies - they always help!

Glask - hoping Ruby gains the weight she's supposed to by the time the HV arrives, but like others said - don't be bullied! Stick to your guns!

Hi Diege and Kay!

lastboxoftampons · 02/04/2009 10:59

Ooooh, I crossed with the Cosmo update! CONGRATULATIONS!!!! All that waiting and then she came so quickly!!!! AND I won the syndicate!

Beautiful name by the way!

Diege · 02/04/2009 11:06

Wow a double congratualtions for COSMO and STAR .
COSMO so glad you've got your beautiful baby at last! Gorgeous name too - really looking forward to hearing all about it .
STAR, great news about Charlotte too Must be lovely to have her home at last, and glad that she is doing so well.

GruffaloSoldier · 02/04/2009 11:09

Wow a huge congrats to Cosmo and her Dh on their new arrival

Congrats Star on bringing Charlotte home

Ses - not long now til you're on ML wahoo!

Hi Diege, Gyo, Kayz, Tink, anyone else I've missed!

I am 38 weeks today and I guess now baby Cosmo is here that means I am officially next

I went to see mw yesterday and all is well. She reckons baby is about 7lb at the mo. Still not fully engaged though and lying back to back at the moment which wasn't great news. Although she does like to flip to and fro.

Ive got the consultant tomorrow to check up since my water leakage. Hopefully all will be ok and I can go back to mw care but who knows.

GruffaloSoldier · 02/04/2009 11:09

ooooh hi to LBox and IDOB - sorry my memory is terrible!

kayzr · 02/04/2009 11:36

Congratulations COSMO and MR Cosmo!!!!

I love the name!!!

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 02/04/2009 11:42

congrats cosmo what a gorgeous name

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 02/04/2009 11:44

Wow!!

Cosmo - huge congrats - great that you have your little girl (and also great that the sickness has gone! What meal are you most looking forward to I wonder??!)

Star - such good news about Charlotte too. I can't imagine how difficult this has all been for you but it sounds like you've coped amazingly.

Gruff - hope your appointment goes well but if you're top of the list now, I think that makes me 2nd....

So much to catch up on from this morning so I'll just say hi to everyone else and go catch up!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 02/04/2009 12:29

Ooh! I've scared you all off now!

Think nesting is starting to kick in... Emptied the washing machine this morning and wouldn't put the stuff to dry on the radiator until I'd dusted the windowsill above the radiator and wiped it down with antiseptic spray!! What's all that about??!

Am just settling down to a major Apprentice catch up. Haven't seen either of the first 2 episodes as they clash with NCT but thank goodness for Sky+

Am also working on salary budget spreadsheets... I've got the salary budgets for my 19 stores for the new financial year (finally!) and have to calculate what each store can spend and what that means in terms of current staffing levels, overtime, etc.

lastboxoftampons · 02/04/2009 12:59

Ses - do you have to do all your calculations before your last day tomorrow?

I had to work on Tuesday night, last night I had dinner with a friend and tonight we have tickets to see the ballet at London Coliseum - and I'm exhausted! I can't believe how much three nights in a row (actually, it's only been two so far) has wiped me out!!!

Haven't see Apprentice at all - not really one I watch.

Our NCT classes start two months from yesterday! I can't believe how fast this is going!

Seems like there's lots of wagon baby girls! We haven't had a boy in a while!

Moosy · 02/04/2009 13:10

Hooray for baby Cosmo!!

And for Charlotte coming home

Any more good news anybody? We're on a roll this week!

Hope things get easier for you soon LB, how did it go last night? Hope you got some sleep.

No sickness here yet, but I'm not really expecting it until 6.5 weeks as that's when it started both times before. Keep feeling a bit feeble and having palpitations (GP says that's normal though) and have the nose of a bloodhound. Food tastes stronger too so I guess it will only be a matter of time before I start puking Going to Asda tomorrow so am going to stock up on food that can be half prepared and frozen to make cooking easier

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 02/04/2009 13:10

Hi LBOT! Yup - calculations need to be taken to a meeting tomorrow lunchtime! I have been doing some all week but today really need to get it all finalised.

NCT is good - you'll enjoy it! I think DH is just working out who he reckons will become his drinking buddies!! He was also a bit shocked that we wouldn't have a MW or doctor with us the whole time we are at the hospital!! (His need to attend is starting to come through !) He was also a bit concerned last night that he's working in Aberdeen every Thursday for the next 3 months and it may take him a bit of time to get back if I go into labour on a Thursday! At the moment, I'm just feeling like ... whatever... what will happen will happen and I just need to try and stay as chilled as I can!

Btw, DH is still convinced this one is a boy so I may help to weigh up the numbers...

Having said that, I had a dream last night that I gave birth to a little girl. It was all fantastic and she started feeding well. It was a lovely dream and I wanted to go back to sleep and repeat it!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 02/04/2009 13:11

Morning Moos! Sounds like you're managing to get your head round being pg again Is your DH too??!

Moosy · 02/04/2009 13:44

Almost Ses, he's gone all practical about it! Keeps telling me what to do and making plans!

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 02/04/2009 13:56

hi

i watch apprentice

kayzr · 02/04/2009 15:32

Hello,

Just got back from the GP and I honestly want to kill her. I am constantly tired and I am getting a headache 5 out of 7 days. Even when DS2 sleeps all night I feel exhausted. So I was a bit worried I am anaemic. I was at the end of my pregnancy and MW said it should sort itself out but if I still feel really tired to see GP.

GP said to me "You have a baby, were you expecting to feel bright and rosy? Come back in 4-6 months if you still feel like this"

I nearly burst into tears but luckily stopped myself.

Diege · 02/04/2009 16:09

KAYZ, I would def try and get a second opinion - is there another gp in the practice? Do you have a sympathetic HV (do they exist? )Maybe try taking something like spatone in the meantime?
LBOX enjoy the ballet - sounds a lovely evening but yes bet you're tired!
SES, did I read right that it's your last day tomorrow??
TINKS, love the apprentice, though don't manage to stay up for the 'after-show' at 10 these days. Couldn't believe how rubbish they were last night!
MOOSY, long may the sickness stay away! Odd waiting for it tom start isn;t it! I was unlucky this time and sickness started at 5.5 weeks, rather than my usual 6.5. Fingers crossed you get a few more weeks respite
Midwife's was fine this afternoon. Baby has now turned from transverse to head down, but midwife says that he's a wriggler so chances are will keep turning yet before settling! Measuring 29 weeks at 29 + 4, so pretty happy with that .
Right, better bet off as dd1 has disco to go to. It's tooooo hot here!!!

Diege · 02/04/2009 16:11

Meant to say measuring 29 weeks at 38 plus 4!

Diege · 02/04/2009 16:11

Arghhh!! at 28 plus 4!!!!

kayzr · 02/04/2009 16:13

There are about 8 GPs so I might see if I can get an appointment with my usual GP. I rang this morning and they said they had a space this afternoon so I went. Wish I hadn't bothered now. I will try that spatone and see if it helps.

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 02/04/2009 16:19

hi

sorry about drs kay how helpful!! not

what do you ladies do about baby clothes do u put baby into next size when they have outgrown clothes they in? or say when they reach 3 months piut them into 3-6 month clothes.
bracken has so many lovely outfits from people all in age 3- 6 months. tried them on her early dont think they look 2 enormous. hoping to put her into them in a few weeks when she is 3 months old. refuse to have another child that is in the wrong size clothes dd1 has always been 2 sizes behind!!
is frustrating.
bracken weighs 10lbs7ozs now so hopefully in 2 weeks she will weighnearly 11lbs. the size she is in 0-3 months goes up to 14lbs. age 3-6 month clothes go up to weight 17-18 lbs. dont want her to waist all the 3-6 month clothes.

what do you ladies think about my first baby annabel for dd1s 4th bday and a dolls silver cross or maclaren pram

lastboxoftampons · 02/04/2009 16:23

Kay - No advice, but GRRRRR! isnt' it their job to take you seriously? that's why I really dislike going to the doctor and bringing up anything that's really bothering me - they have this horrible habit of brushing you off and making you feel like a hypochondriac! I hope you can get a second opinion.

Diege - your dd has a disco to go to? how old is she?

Thanks about the ballet - it's the company I used to work for who on tour in London, so it's really nice to get to see everyone! Hoping I can sneak us backstage - MIL (she's coming with us) will be well impressed and it'd be something she can tell her friends - I can't believe I'm playing right into her competition with her friends! Hey ho, if it's puts me in good DIL standing, then I'll do it!

kayzr · 02/04/2009 16:43

I'm at weight watchers tonight. I am not really looking forward to it but I am going to do it. Hopefully I won't have to stay for the whole meeting as it's meant to be my turn to cook dinner.

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 02/04/2009 16:52

Kay - good on you for sticking to going to WW. I agree with the others - go back and see a different doctor. V frustrating!!

Diege - YES!!! Last day tomorrow!!! Then Saturday night going out for a meal with my Area Manager and the Area HR Admin (along with me - the Area Pharmacy Manager - we get on really well and make a good team!). DH is coming for the meal too and I think we should have a good laugh I don't like being the centre of attention though so am trying to sneak away quietly...

tink - the baby annabel and pram look good. Not sure about clothes sizing. Tbh, I can imagine I'd probably just wait as they grow out of them.

LBOT - enjoy the ballet! Sounds like good brownie points with your MIL!

Moos - LOL at your DH! Probably quite a good way to get your head round things!

I'm just coming to the end of my Apprentice marathon and spreadsheets are getting there...

Diege · 02/04/2009 17:04

DD1 is 7 LBOX. The school has been doing 'discos' since they were about 5 - lots of screaming kids, crisps, glowsticks and fizzy drinks! I think the main attraction is seeing their teachers 'outside' of school, although they take place in school hall
TINKS, would wait a bit re: clothes as the sooner you put dd in 3-6, the longer she'll be in them and danger is you'll getb sick of them and spend..(is that a danger??).
SES, meal after ending work sounds lovely - bet you're really looking forward to finishing work!
Well have bought LAST TWO maternity things now - just 2 tops (oh yes and pair of capri pants). Got forms for health in pregnancy grant today, so I suppose that sort of evens things out .
