Just wanted to pop in and say a massive congratulations to MOOS!!! . So pleased for you - made my day when I read your news .
And good luck to you COSMO - that first proper non-sicky meal is so close now (oh and the baby too ).
Am working from home tomorrow so will have a better chance to keep up!

glaskham · 01/04/2009 20:23

Moos- Massive congrats!!

STT- congrats on a fabby scan!! and wuhoo for magically loosing a week of pregnancy- how lucky is that??

As for us Ruby needs to start putting weight on apparently... the SCBU outreach nurses have given her from saturday when she weighed 4lb6.5oz till friday to put more weight on or we'll have to 'consider our options'.... basically she said something about maybe trying a week of expressing away the fore-milk, and after that i expect she means formula- which i'm not going to do!! On monday the HV came round (who is lovely BTW) and i asked her to weigh her and since the saturday weighing with the SCBU nurse she'd put on 2oz... which is fab!! Hopefully by friday she'll be a few more oz heavier too. either way i'm putting my foot down about not formula feeding- i dont want to loose that bonding with her- after everythign that happened in the start of her life its the one thing that got that feeling of bonding between us and i just dont wanna loose it- does that make sence??

god i really do need to use paragraphs but can't be bothered to go back and figure out where!!

Had a lovely day with my sister and nephew today, she stayed for lunch with us, then we had a walk into my local shops... not done anything like that with her in ages!!

Tomorrow i'm off shopping with Ruby to get DD1's birthday presents, its her bday on the 9th and with everything else i've not got her a single thing yet!! we're getting her as dolls house from ELC and maybe a few other bits, depends what i see while i'm out and about!!

Anyway, i'm off for this evening, DH is watching the footy, and thought i'd grab a few mins on here before going to bed to catch up on some sleep- Ruby had me up for 4 hrs solid last night and i still dont know why!! but i do know i need my bed!!

Night ladies, promise to try and get back on a bit more now she's home and settled more!!

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 01/04/2009 20:28

ooh really missed something there, should have a good read at somepoint!

Sorry Moos- congratulations - fantastic news....

kayzr · 01/04/2009 20:44

Just added some pictures from Freddie's birthday weekend. Here, my Dad took most of them so that explains the random bus!!

Glask It is lovely to hear from you. DO NOT gove formula unless it is 100% what you want to do ok. Ruby is so little it will probably take her a while to completely get the hang of things.

I'm enjoying a nice glass of rose and watching the football.

Night x

kayzr · 01/04/2009 20:56

Ooooh just been nosey after thinking about Moosy's BFP and there is a December 09 ante-natal thread. I can not believe I got my BFP nearly a year ago!!

lardybump · 01/04/2009 21:28

Sorry I have not been about again but we have had a bad run of things again... Someone is bloody testing me I am sure.... DS has been so poorly we have now been told he has colic on top of everything else.... nice..... I just dont know what to believe or what to do for the best. He didn't feed for 12 hours and is constantly crying so took him to breast feeding clinic today. MW there said she thinks it is a combination of his cold, reflux and his cough that is making him refuse the breast and told me to express and give him bottle. Tried that and he still wouldn't take it so went to GP.
GP who told me to stop the gaviscon (as he is still being sick on it) and start infacol... He has just fed for a whole hour and is asleep now so something is working.. On the plus side they weighed him today and he is a massive 11lbs 8oz can you belive that? Even though he is throwing up all the time he has put on just under 3 lbs in 5 weeks which is bloody great.....

I am having a glass of cava tonight as well kay I know i shouldnt as feeding but need something or I might go mad....

I will not let this ruin these first presious months for me though because I will never get them back and they go so quickly.....

Snapped really badly at dd today as well. She is going through a naughty stage and is really testing me but I handled the situation really badly and feel awful for it...... I am going to spend tomorrow doing DD things just to make sure she knows I love her and that she is just as important to me as DS because I think that DS takes up so much of my time that she feels a little left out!!!

Sorry for moaning again you must all be so fed up with me coming on and winging all the time!!! But I get it all of my chest here and so cope better in RL iyswim so thanks!!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 01/04/2009 22:47

Hi!

LB - not fed up with you whinging at all. We all find this a good place to offload and you certainly are having a trying time of it at the moment. I hope the infacol does the job. It must be really trying on your patience with DD too so don't be too hard on yourself.

Cosmo - v exciting!!! Fingers crossed for you!

Kay - piccies are fab!!

Glask - good to hear from you. I get what you mean about wanting to keep BF after everything you've been through with Ruby and hope that she shows good weight gain.

Just back from 2nd NCT class. All good - went right through the 3 stages of labour this evening and DH finally admitted that he didn't know everything! Am quite tired but may watch football before going to bed as I just struggle to get comfy at the moment and spend half the night tossing and turning. I'm wfh tomorrow and don't have too much to do (definitely winding down!) so will be able to have a restful day.

Only 2 days til ML!!

Will try and catch up properly with everyone else's posts tomorrow...

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 01/04/2009 23:06

hello, just had text from cosmo, her waters broke so she is going to hosp! How exciting - the next wagon baby is coming!

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 01/04/2009 23:08

Yay!!!

Thanks for the update GYo and sending good positive labour vibes to Cosmo (God knows, she deserves them!)

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 01/04/2009 23:16

defo, let's hope she has a nausea free labour.

sorkycakey · 02/04/2009 08:07

any news?

lardybump · 02/04/2009 08:13

Good luck cosmo hope you have your baby in your arms now......

kayzr · 02/04/2009 08:14

Oooh so excited for Cosmo. I can't wait to hear her news.

LB, I hope the infacol will help. Don't worry about the Cava either. 1 glass won't hurt. Hope things start to pick up for you.

kayzr · 02/04/2009 09:24

I've just realised I have to sell my favourite boots as they don't fit anymore.

Diege · 02/04/2009 09:26

Hello! Just had a quick catch up and very excited about COSMO! Thanks for the update GYO - how are things with you? - and hopefully we'll be hearing about baby cosmo and the First Meal very soon
LB: as SES says, please don't worry about whinging on here - you have had a real run of tough times lately, but hopefully the infacol will make a difference. With dd1 (who had 15 weeks of colic) every photo we had of her has a bottle of infacol somehere - like that duck in the usbourne book . Let us know how you get on!
GLASK, I think KAYZ is right about the formula - don't let yourself be bullied by midwifes etc - it sounds like Ruby is doing perfectly well to me and following her own growth curve quite nicely. Enjoy your shopping day today!
SES, glad the NCT classes are going well (and dh is admitting he is learning! . Not long at all now for you until maternity leave! I'm having to put mine back two weeks (long, boring story) but atg least the last two weeks before I go off officially I can work from home (marking) so not too bad. Enjoy your relaxed working today!!
KAYZ, I know what you mean about time flying - can't believe it's been almost a year - were you the first of the wagon lot to get a bfp?
I'm also working from home today (relaxed mode like SES), although I do have loads to do...I'm working from home all of next week, and then work gives us the bank hols and also the Tuesday off, so won't actually have to travel in for a fortnight!
Midwife this afternoon, and hopefully anti-d tomorrow at hosp (they won't let you book an anti-d appointment any longer than 24 hours before ). I did have a consultant appointment this afternoon to check my cervix, but I have come over all assertive and cancelled. It would have meant another scan which I really don't want after how anxious I feel before/after them, and tbh at 28 weeks problems with an incompetent cervix are almost unheard of (plus mine was well over the length of what they look for at 19 weeks). I've been told by my receptionist that my midwife will book my sweep and induction date ; as if I'll need them!! (being a 39 weeker ).
Right, best get kitcehn tidy as they're retaking the photos as the estate agents.

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 02/04/2009 09:32

cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&item=280327820048

what do u ladies think?
pram is from age 5-7 wasnt sure if handle would be to high for her she is 93cms tall.
doll is only 36cms tall would she be too small for buggy. pram takes up 2 size 60cm doll

kayzr · 02/04/2009 09:32

I was the first to get a BFP yes. The everyone else got theirs. Maybe I have started a trend.

Is there still a Wagon conception thread?

Diege · 02/04/2009 09:59

Not sure about ttc wagon KAYZ; haven't noticed for a while, will check..
Pram and doll are gorgeous TINKS . Think you could get away with size/height too

kayzr · 02/04/2009 10:03

There is still a ttc wagon. Claire236 has just got a BFP so I am going to invite her to the ante-natal wagon.

Starshinetiger · 02/04/2009 10:11

Hi all, just a quick post - Charlotte came home yesterday - it's been a long 2.5 eeks, but we're here and it's fab. Still got milestones ahead of us - 1st one will be scan and (hopefully, all being well) catheter out on 14th april (middle of night changes with double nappying and constantly draining catheter not my favourite thing, but if there's one thing our stay at GOSH has taught me, it's that there are so many worse things we could be experiencing) and follow up camera inside when she's 3 month are first two steps, but for now, just enjoying being home.

Moos - HUGE CONGRATULATIONS - fabby news.
STT - yay for fab scan and meeting with mw - so happy for you.
Glask - Ruby sounds like she's doing great - 2ozs in 2 days sounds just right to me. well done - don't let them force you into anything re. formula.

Sorry for anything else I've missed. will be checking in for your birth announcement Cosmo.

P.S. - just for your amusement - I have a freezer drawer full of frozen ebm - well, I had to have someting to do while DD was in intensive care!

kayzr · 02/04/2009 10:18

YAY Star!!! I am so happy for you!!! I bet it is lovely to have Charlotte at home!!
