Well I have got it down him and he has kept a feed down but I have totally gone against what it said on the packet. I expressed an oz of milk and mixed it into that, I left him to get really hungry then gave him the bottle (which he took) as soon as he finished the oz I put him on boob......

On the packet it says:

breast fed: add to 15ml of cooled boiled water and give after each feed.

bottle fed: mix with not less than 125ml of milk....

Do you think this is ok??? I am using a lot less milk than it says and giving it before feed!!! Ses if you are around your advice would be good.... Or anyone elses...

ohsnap · 25/03/2009 15:18

Hi LB, have been lurking a bit and just spotted your post. Both of mine had Gaviscon for reflux and with both of them I mixed it up with a tiny bit of boiled water and gave it in a syringe before the feed, that way I found that if they brought up some of the feed it was only milk IYSWIM. I hope things gets easier soon.

Astarte · 25/03/2009 15:19

If his oesophagus is irritated LB it would make sense to me to give it before his feed. I'd go with whatever you find works for him tbh

Hope to get on a bit more again tomorrow.

hi

glad that ruby is back with u that must be a relief
had a gd day here bought dd1 3 more tshirts and we sold our buggy board so ordered 2 more dresses and a skirt

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 25/03/2009 19:03

took bracken to be weighed 10lbs5ozs has put on 5ozs this week following 25th centile

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 25/03/2009 19:35

Hi! We're just about to go off to our first NCT class (finally!)

tink - that's great about Bracken's weight gain.

Glask - really pleased that Ruby's home and doing so much better. Must have been such a worry and now such a relief.

NJ - thinking of you. Hope the info last night helped.

LB - sorry I've only just caught up. FWIW I think what you did with the gaviscon today is fine. It at least gets the gaviscon in where it's needed without too much hassle. Certainly won't do any harm doing it that way round and hope you continue to find it effective.

Cosmo - night sweats sound awful. Hope it means you've not got much longer...

Sorry if I've missed anything but must go....!

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 25/03/2009 22:09

ses enjoy 1st nct very exciting

GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 25/03/2009 22:56

Hello everyone..

Sorry for lack of catching up but wanted to let you know that I've added some pics of not so Mini Gyo to my FB page.

We've named her Beatrice Victoria.

Will try and catch up tomorrow.

bye for now

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 25/03/2009 23:01

Back from NCT class and we both survived

GYo - just had a look at your piccies and Beatrice is beautiful
I just find it so amazing that one minute we are all pg and then suddenly we become parents and have these beautiful babies
Well done on agreeing on such a lovely name too!

GruffaloSoldier · 25/03/2009 23:13

Ooooh just back from babysitting!

Gyo - lovely beautiful name!

I will look at FB pics in a sec.

Ses - glad you survived NCT

I havent had chance to catch yet but will try after been on FB!

GruffaloSoldier · 25/03/2009 23:18

Ooh Gyo she is lovely! You are looking well too.

Makes me feel all emotional!

I want mine!!!

I'm 37 weeks tomorrow

Right better go and catch up!

idreamofbeanie · 25/03/2009 23:40

Hi all, stupid question from the technophobe. Are most pics on the group FB page or do you add people as friends then look at pics on their site? I couldn't see any pics of mini(ish) GYo. Beautiful name by the way.

Glad you enjoyed NCT Ses.

lardybump · 26/03/2009 08:45

you need to add her as a friend first to see the pics..

Diege · 26/03/2009 09:26

Hello! Haven't had a chance to catch up yet but wanted to say hello. Working from home today thank god - have really struggled with commute etc over last fews days, so taking it easy today and trying to get over this cold.
Will have a look on facebook now and return!!

Diege · 26/03/2009 09:51

Oh she is so lovely GYO!!! A proper little girl, and such a beautiful name . You look gorgeous too! . How are you feeling?
SES, glad you survived NCT Were there many other people there? What were they like?? [nosey emoticon]
GLASK so pleased that Ruby has been able to come home. You must be over the moon
LB, sounds like good advice from SES and ASTARTE regarding gaviscon. Hopefully giving it first will help and you can start to see results. I remember how stressful it is when they bring up feeds, so fingers crossed new methid will work
Wow GRUFF can't believe you're technically 'full term' tomorrow! Where has the time gone?!!

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 26/03/2009 10:16

i havent got gyo as a friend on facebk can someone give me hint to find her
having a quiet day here

lastboxoftampons · 26/03/2009 11:08

Morning wagoners!

GYO - your little girl is just precious! And a lovely name! BTW, you look stunning! Congrats!

Glask - glad to hear that Ruby is home again.

Ses - how was your DH with NCT? Did he grumble the whole time? Do you think there are any lifelong friends in your bunch!?!?

Tink - GYO's initials are AJ.

kayzr · 26/03/2009 12:00

Hello,

GYo, she is beautiful and I love the name.

Glask, I'm glad Ruby is home now. Must be great to have her at home again.

I have a horrible headache, meant to be getting DS2 weighed today. Might just do it myself on the scales. Plus I'm meant to be at weight watchers tonight but if this headache doesn't go I will be in bed.

GruffaloSoldier · 26/03/2009 14:23

Hello everyone!

Feeling very tired today as had a late night.

I can't believe I'm 37 weeks today!

Taking it easy sounds good Diege!

Tink - why dont you join the wagoners group on FB? Its a closed group so secure and most of us lot are on there. Just a thought - no pressure!
