hi

gyo - gr8 story well done u:0)
diege poor u hope u feel better soon
kay - ye for af
taking dd1 swimming this morning havent for ages my mum has been she is having bracken here

lastboxoftampons · 24/03/2009 10:55

Congratulations again GYO! What an amazing story! I really don't know how you did it! You're a star!!!! Now, about that name

Tink - wow, can't believe Bracken is 9 weeks old already!!!

Kay - Best of luck to your DH for the job!!!!

Star - I have to go back and read about your daughter, as I don't know the whole story, but just wanted to say that I'm so glad to hear she's doing better! Take care of yourselves - thinking of you!

STT - Glad you're able to find the hb It's a lovely, lovely sound.

Hope you're both doing well over there. Ses - so funny about your DH saying he's jealous. We just had a similar conversation because I was feeling very sorry for DH. AS much as women might talk about mat leave hampering their careers, I think we all do really look forward to having a legitmate, nearly guilt-free reason for the time off whereas husbands don't get the luxury.

Diege - YIKES that's an early start! I don't think I'd be able to do it - I love my sleep...

...which reminds me my little BOY seems to have inherited his mother's sleeping disease First I should say last night our scan went really well - everything where it should be and all looking perfect, but it took FOREVER to get seen! We were waiting for nearly 2 hours. But when we got in, the little man was writhing all around and we easily saw his bits. It wasn't until the doctor went for the spinal measurements that he promptly fell asleep in a most unaccomodating position and refused to be woken despite me jumping around like a loon (at doctor's request!) and drinking a very large bottle of coke - which of course kicked in AFTER we got home! In the end, she was able to get the measurement she needed via internal - but it took about an hour and a total of 2 tummy scans and 2 internals to get it. Anyway, according to the measurements the little guy seems to have a HUGE tummy (abdominal circumference in the top percentiles) and slightly short legs... Now I'm DYING to meet him!

kayzr · 24/03/2009 10:58

YAY!!!!!!!!!! LBOT!!!!! Congratulations!!!!

kookykid · 24/03/2009 12:29

LBOT - I was so sure it was a girl! Hooray for another wagon boy though!
Can't believe he was so naughty for his scan. Hope it's not a sign of things to come.

Gotta run have so much to get ready for this afternoon's lessons.

NatalieJane · 24/03/2009 12:46

Hello

HUGE congrats to GYo and family, sounds like it all went to plan! What a weight?!! Can't wait to hear the name

Congrats also for good scans and hearing HB's and period's arriving (phew Kay!!)

Sorry for all the sleeplessness and poorlies, hope Glask's and LB's LO's are well on the mend by now.

We are all OK here, Mikey's cold has completely gone (he slept last night from 8.30pm till 6 this morning, was bliss!) DS1 had a really good birthday weekend and party, and DS2 has learnt how to say cooker, except it doesn't quite sound like cooker.....

Everything is still up in the air re. the mortgage and car payments etc. DH has someone from a debt managment place ringing tonight to go through it all with us, we've found a lot of info ourselves, we know where we stand with the law, but just the odd few things that are a bit clouded need to be cleared up, hopefully we'll have all the answers and some sort of final action plan in place by the end of the day. T'is pretty scary, the chances are next month we won't be paying our mortgage amongst other things, that just seems so surreal and frightening, bearing in mind we've never not paid a bill of any sort, or even been late paying one. The worst bit is not knowing exactly what's going to happen, even if the worst came to the worst and we lost the house and the car, and we ended up in some rented hell hole for the rest of our lives, I want to know NOW that that's going to happen, and when it's going to happen. It could be that we struggle on through for the next few months, work picks up, and we're able to just about keep our heads above water, or it could get to the point where we've lost everything, but then work picks up so we'll still be fucked but not watching every penny as such, god I don't know, just want to be able to take a sneaky peak at us all in 18 months time and see what's happened! So many buts, what if's and maybe's flying around at the moment, we lose track of where we actually are.

Sorry, I know I've done it again, turned up and ranted and whinged It's just so much easier on here, I don't have to watch what I say, or how I say it.... Anyway sorry again.

kookykid · 24/03/2009 15:38

NJ - how awful to be living with all that uncertainty. I really hope you and your DH manage to get some answers tonight. Thinking of you.

GruffaloSoldier · 24/03/2009 15:52

idreamofbeanie · 24/03/2009 20:48

Evening guys, now that I don't have to keep this pregnancy a secret is it okay if I join the facebook group?

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 24/03/2009 21:01

Hi! Feeling a bit better this evening (after bursting into tears again on the way into work this morning and then having a bust up with DH). All just about resolved now...

LBOT - congrats on your scan and your little boy!! (I knew it was a boy )

IDOB - yay! Do join the FB group! Might be best to post your initials on here so that Gruff (who's the administrator) knows who you are and to authorise you joining!

NJ - sounds like you are really trying to do everything you can to get your situation resolved. I completely get the wanting an answer now feeling though.

Gruff - how are you feeling? Sounds like you've had a good day.

tink - swimming sounds good but poor DD1 falling over.

Diege - hope you survived your day and you start to feel better soon. Do take it easy!!

Kay - Phew! Glad TEW showed up!

Kooky - looks like your DD had a great birthday if the photos on FB are anything to go by!

I saw MW this afternoon and all ok. Measured 34cm and am 33 weeks so that's fine. She had a good feel round and reckons that the baby's head is engaged!!
I guess it's quite likely though that it will move around and become "dis-engaged" but I was a bit suprised!

idreamofbeanie · 24/03/2009 21:10

Cheers Ses, my initials are SB. Sounds like your LO is in a rush!

GruffaloSoldier · 24/03/2009 21:34

Hey Ses,

yeah Im fine thanks. just had a bath and made DH some birthday cakes.

My sis and my friend baby's engaged at 32 and 33 weeks, it is common in first pregnancies apparently. They didnt disengage either although they still went over due I'm afraid. My friend was 7 days and my sister was 15 days over. You never know though, everyone is different. My consultant said it was pretty rare for babies to disengage as the pelvis is like a vice. Nice!

It def sounds like Ses junior is doing all the right things though. Hooray!

GruffaloSoldier · 24/03/2009 21:35

Oh yes IDOB - I will go look out for your request on FB aswell

SesIsCountingdowntheweeks · 24/03/2009 22:20

Thanks Gruff and IDOB! Glad Ses junior is behaving already! Certainly don't have any other signs that things are going to happen any time soon and have been trying to persuade myself that LO is likely to be late, in the hope I won't be disappointed then!

I am really looking forward to finishing work at the end of next week. This week has turned out to be quite manic. Tomorrow I have to interview a pharmacist for a job in Eastbourne at 10am and then do visits to 4 stores in Brighton after that to ensure they are ready for the Divisional Director (ooh! scary!) visiting them on Thursday.
Then Thursday I have a meeting in Maidstone at 10am, my annual performance review in the afternoon and then our area meeting in the evening 7-9pm.
Then Friday there's about 25 of us off to London for an end of year lunch out.
Also at the moment I'm on standby to work on Saturday as there is no pharmacist for one of the stores, so I could be doing a 6 day week!
I'll be sooo ready for ML the week after next!!

Right I need to do a bit of prep for store visits tomorrow but must try and get a better night's sleep too!
G'night!

kayzr · 25/03/2009 07:24

Morning,

Ses, I'm glad Ses junior is behaving. Freddie didn't engage until the day before I went into labour and they were talking about me having to have a CS. You do sound like you have a very busy week.

I feel like I am at the beach. A flock of annoying nice seagulls has appeared and I wake up every morning listening to them. I am quite expecting to see the sea one morning

Cosmogirl · 25/03/2009 08:28

Morning,

Congrats to LBOT on your boy
Really bad night sweats last night....hoping that could be a sign of labour perhaps...Remember Ast mentioning something about it.

kayzr · 25/03/2009 08:33

Ewwwww Cosmo. I had awful night sweats in the 2 weeks leading up to Dylan being born. It was horrible. I only had a couple in the week after he was born.

Cosmogirl · 25/03/2009 08:36

Hi Kayz...yeah they are pretty nasty aren't they? Woke up and body and sheets were soaked...39+1 so hoping it might mean things are starting to move in the right direction...

lardybump · 25/03/2009 09:32

Morning everyone... I really feel like screaming......

Congrats GYO do you have a name yet?? Lavender oil in the bath is good for stitches.. Lovely story cant wait for the pics...

I need to moan.... I am so stressed at the moment. Owen is so happy when he is not being sick but for the last 3 days he has cried constantly. I stayed at my mums Monday night as the car broke down and he cried constantly..... The think is the gavisgon seems to make him worse. I have to give it to him after feed mixed with water. I have tried bottle and he will not take it. I tried spooning it in and he gags on it and is sick... He hasnt been sick today and I just gave him the gavisgon and he gaged 3 times then brought up the whole feed..... The only othe thing I can do is mix it with milk but I am not very good at expressing so that will mean giving up bf!!!! But no one can tell me for sure that this is reflux and that the gavisgon will actually help so I could be giving up for nothing..... i am so upset I want to do whats best but I dont know what that is!!!

lardybump · 25/03/2009 09:35

so sorry for me post..... it is just that I am struggling with him being sick and in pain all day long.......

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 25/03/2009 09:52

poor u lb it must be stressful

kayzr · 25/03/2009 10:10

LB, Have you tried posting in Breast and bottle feeding? Someone there might have a trick to get him to take it. Hope it gets better soon!

Astarte · 25/03/2009 11:51

Have you tried a baby syringe LB?

OP posts:
lastboxoftampons · 25/03/2009 12:01

Good Morning (ish)

KK - bite your tongue about my baby boy being naught OUTSIDE the womb!

IDOB - Yay for joining Facebook! Is it sinking in yet?

Ses - Wow, baby is engaged! That's so exciting!!! Your job sounds pretty manic at the moment, but mat leave is right around the corner!

Gruff - I hope you're taking it easy and your DH had a lovely birthday

Kay - thanks for your comment on Facebook! I grew up a couple of miles from the shore and there were always seagulls around - in the car parks at stores and stuff. It wasn't until I went away to university that I realized that that's not normal for everywhere! Enjoy it, but lets hope they go away after a while. They're nasty birds!!!!

Cosmo- sorry about the night sweats but let's hope they're an indication of things to come!

LB - So sorry I don't have any advice of course, but hoping DS feels better and that you get some well deserved rest really soon.
