Hello everyone

Nat- thinking of you, express faxing double batch of brownies for you and the boys

Astarte- looked at your thread, reckon prolapse sounds about right, Im sure the nurse will be able to tell you when she examines you though. Assume you cant have had the 6wk check yet...

Gruff- glad you are ok and hanging on

STT- nasty about the vomit but all good signs!

Cosmo... lol about static sex.. definately not as much fun but its all very clinical now anyway isnt it...

Some nasty woman in sainsburys just shoved her arse into my trolley and therefore hard into my huge bump. Ouch, the horrid woman didnt apologise either.... its not like you cant miss the bump and what she did! Some people are so rude...

Actually just started a thread on this as I wasnt sure if it meant I needed a Rh jab...
here

Astarte · 19/03/2009 15:10

thanks STT, much appreciated

How horrid GYo! How does one bum a trolley....bizarre?

No I haven't had 6 week check yet, it's only been 4 weeks. They won't do a smear until 12 weeks apparently. They rang spookily enough just after I'd posted
Could my GP's be stalking me?
If it's no better in a couple of weeks I'll get the GP to check me at my 6 week check.

OP posts:
Astarte · 19/03/2009 15:12

Blimey GYo could the bump have mixed bloods? Maybe the m/w would be the best person to ask.

Have they offered you a sweep yet?

OP posts:
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/03/2009 15:17

LOL- this woman just bent over her trolley at check out, sticking her massive arse into my trolley which shoved the handle straight into mini Gyo. Wasnt massively hard but enough to make me gasp and rub the bump, and then gasp again when she looked at me and didnt apologise!

I will ring the MW I suppose, I just dont want to make a fuss...

I have option of sweep tomorrow morning or next tuesday when i will be a week over. Im tempted to wait until tuesday to see if the weekend brings any action...

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 19/03/2009 15:18

hi

astarte posted on other thread it takes 3 months for cervix to go back to normal
gyo i would phone midwife

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 19/03/2009 15:18

i am gearing up to buy dd1 sandals and shoes from clarks on sun morn and ordering her summer clothes from next on my account on sat

tinkhas2scrummygirls · 19/03/2009 15:19

have my 2nd aerobics class tonite wish me luck

lastboxoftampons · 19/03/2009 15:46

GYo - I posted on your thread, but wanted to say, maybe that baby needed a little bump, Lil GYO is getting too comfortable in there!

Astarte · 19/03/2009 15:48

Well I obv can't wait for you to have the mini giraffe and want you to have a sweep tomorrow BUT it likely will work effectively and not be uncomfortable if you wait until 41 weeks.

Plus if mini you does turn up in the meantime then that's obv better. Sunday is the day!

Tink is that 12 weeks for it to close up or return to normal position? Mine feels as closed as it was pre-pg and is long & hard as if in the "not fertile-phase" of my cycle.
I'm sooo hoping it's 12 weeks to shufty back up.

OP posts:
GYoIsReallyHavingABaby · 19/03/2009 15:54

Thanks guys.

I rang up my Comm MW who told me to ring the hospital. Issue is that it might have caused injury and internal bleeding and any chance mine and baby's could blood mix means they like to give a jab it seems.

LBOT thanks my Rh neg type is definate and I've had my jabs so far think they want to put another hole in my arm!

Astarte. LOL re mini Giraffe will see what hosp say today and mw says tomorrow. Might get her to have a feel and not actually do it tomorrow....

Good luck for the aerobics Tink!

Astarte · 19/03/2009 16:02

Good luck for tonights class, I'm impressed you can walk after a bums/tums class Tink, well done!

hello LBOT

Oh and I have a confession. After a major meltdown yesterday, we have switched to disposables for the next couple of weeks. Dd2 is such a heavy wetter (12 nappies in one day & 12 suits) I was doing 2 washloads a day just with her stuff and basically began to sink under the constant-ness of it all.

So far today, she's had an outfit change and 4 disposables, which is much better. I'm ignoring the guilt .

We'll see how well I'm managing in a few weeks I suppose, Dh is taking days off each week for the next 3 weeks to help out. After that we'll have to look at hired help if I'm still finding it all very hard.
Hopefully it won't get to that though.

Tink I've been browsing Next myself, you're a very bad influence

OP posts:
lastboxoftampons · 19/03/2009 16:40

Hello
I was trying to catch up before posting, but it's probably useless!

Astarte - don't feel guilty! Especially if your reasoning for doing the disposables is down to environmental concerns - doing two loads of laundry is probably worse for the environment!

GYO don't know what to say about the sweep. Maybe you should try lots of -ahem- home remedies and hold off until Tuesday.

Had a midwife appointment this morning and got to hear the LOs heartbeat - as always very lovely! AND I got to record it for DH too! Scan on Monday at 22+3 - and we get to find out the sex! Even though I didn't want to, I'm getting excited about that!

GruffaloSoldier · 19/03/2009 16:43

Afternoon all!

Gyo - my sis had to have the jab after she knocked her bump as a precaution. Think its pretty standard. Hope you're not worried, Im sure baby Gyo is just fine!LOL at LBox saying baby needed a bump to get her out

Astarte - sorry I know nothing about cervix locations (except that its up there somewhere)

Have fun at aerobics Tink

I have just been walking round town which set of huge and painful braxton hicks!Got really aching lower back now and period type cramps which are quite uncomfortable!Im still a bit achey now but pains have died down.Have a baby elbow or something sticking out of my side too which is ouch!

I am just one big ache basically!!!

Astarte - I don't think she did. I was looking for her update.

Gruff - 36 weeks! WOW! Do you think the BH's are a good sign? My SIL felt very crampy/generally just unwell right before having all three of her kids. Fingers crossed for you!!!

Cosmogirl · 19/03/2009 17:41

Hi ladies,

Sorry for mean trolley bumper GYo - some people are really out of order- and not to even apologise.....tsk...! On the sweep front I would prob wait until next week. If I go overdue I'm not sure I will opt for one as have been reading that in many cases they do absolutely nothing because the cervix needs to be favourable and almost ready to go in the first place. I think I may just wait as long as I can to go naturally then beg them for an induction date.

I have had zero energy levels today and I really mean zero....feel very spacey and nauseous and not sure quite what is the matter. Very odd.

Maybe DH has poisoned me with his prostagladins ...

GruffaloSoldier · 19/03/2009 18:13

Hmm thats interesting Lbox! I havent had any more since Ive got home so maybe I just over did it a bit. I guess its just a case of more waiting and wondering!

Hi Cosmo - LOL at DH poisioning you

Gyo - Im not sure about the sweep - its really down to how you feel. Sorry not helpful! After my experience with 'fanjo interventions' on Monday I can def say that I will be keeping people away from that area for as long as possible!

I have my consultant apt tomorrow. Feeling ok about it, just wish I didnt have to go alone!

lastboxoftampons · 19/03/2009 18:31

Cosmo - are you STILL swallowing!?!?

Sparklytwinkletoes · 19/03/2009 18:32

boak

Cosmogirl · 19/03/2009 18:39

STT - so do I at 38+2!!! (vommy emoticon).....

LBOX - definitely no swallowing here - it was just normal sex, prostaglandins deposited hopefully near cervix to do whatever it is they do there.....make me knackered clearly...

Just ordered a curry - this could be a big mistake....

Astarte · 19/03/2009 18:39

I don't believe for one second that oral ingestion of prostaglandins works better than direct deposit

If oral was a more effective route then the m/w would give a pill not insert a pessary.

wonder how KK is then..
