Are they giving you a decent under lay?

Bleuravin · 05/03/2009 14:11

Just looked out the window and thought, about hanging out the baby clothes and then suddenly occured to me... I AM HAVING A BABY! One of 3 lietime goals is going to be happening in 2-6 weeks! I am going to be someone's Mommy!

PuzzleRocks · 05/03/2009 14:13

Bleu - DH has to finish my sentences for me at the moment.

SpringySunshine · 05/03/2009 14:14

Bleu, how did she check your hormone levels?

I had a weird dream the other night where I had the baby, but was totally indifferent to him & kept trying to find other people to hold him under the pretence that I needed to quickly go & do something in the other room, & so on. In my dream it wasn't at all upsetting or strange to feel that way, but I woke up feeling a bit guilty

SpringySunshine · 05/03/2009 14:15

& as for babybrain, DH is still laughing at my description of Fiona Bruce as being 'that woman who isn't Michael Aspel'

Bleuravin · 05/03/2009 14:16

It's gets really bad for me sometimes with the words...I get a complete brain freeze and can only think of something related to the word that I'm thinking... Like 'fancy L's'...better than crossed S's which is what I orginally thought but knew it wasn't right because I didn't want him to put money intot he American account, just the British one...

Bleuravin · 05/03/2009 14:24

She didn't actually check my hormone levels...she just came to that conclusion because of the things I was telling her... Thumping heart at odd occasions (not just when DH is undressing), hot flashes, agitation- especially in the evenings, even darker nipples (they've gone almost black even though I'm very fair), paired BH which come down my back and around the front- had one while I was there and she eyed me very closely and asked how often I got them (One big one a day and little clenchings throughout the day). I've also been going I bit nuts for baths and being in water and drinking water...

BoffinMum · 05/03/2009 14:25

They're just wedging it all in underneath now. There's a very thorough wedging going on.

Bleuravin · 05/03/2009 14:26

LOL Boffin. I wish I was getting some underlay... Might have to see if DH is up for it this evening...

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 14:27

I'm a total preghead. I forget all sorts of words. Most frustratingly when I'm talking to builders, or builders merchants. In 'normal' brain mode I would have the vocabulary to describe exactly how I want the pointing done, the way I want the surface edges champfered or that the paving stones must be callibrated etc etc but I just freeze up mid-sentence and come out with gibberish. Leaving them thinking I am but a feeble-minded little woman who ought to go and put the kettle on, there's a dear.

PuzzleRocks · 05/03/2009 14:30

I thought that little girl dancing (in the ad to the left) was very cute at first. Now if she doesn't bloody well sit down i'm going to throw a worm at her or something.

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 14:35

I've turned the sound off on my computer cos of those ads. Drive me loopy.

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 14:35

Have you got a plentiful supply of worms to hand Puzzle?

Bleuravin · 05/03/2009 14:36

That AD!
I keep accidentally getting sound but 'rolling over' them... The first time I nearly had a heart attack because the volumn was so loud.

tristaleejac · 05/03/2009 14:37

Hi everyone
Wow 5 babies! - congratulations to kaz and barbarelly, hope you're feeling ok.

Nutty - bloody hell, sounds like you're having an awful time. Sending hugs, hope you feel better soon xxx

Hope everyone else is fine today, I've just spoilt myself rotten buying hippy clothes on ebay. Feel a tiny bit guilty as I should be spending money on things I actually need, but it's been so long since I just needlessly spent money on myself I just though feck it, and went for it!

Bleuravin · 05/03/2009 14:45

Out to hang my first ever load of baby clothes (another couple of months and I won't think it's so fun I'm sure)

Claireykitten · 05/03/2009 14:48

It took a while but I understand your "fancy L's" now Bleuravin. Im so proud of myself for working it out!!

LuLuBai · 05/03/2009 14:50

Bleu - hanging out little baby clothes is something I still take unlikely pleasure in. I get depressed by washing towels, sheets, DH's and my clothes but I love doing DDs.

I like to arrange them all decoratively on the line or even on the rack in the bathroom so that they look pretty. And I find myself strangely proud of getting them all lovely and clean again after she has made such a mess of them.

I hate ironing them though. Fiddly little blighters.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 05/03/2009 14:52

Bleu - you made me LOL (and nearly pee) with your description o fyour babybrain!
Yesterday I left a message for my mom. she phoned back and siad she had understood a little bit of it. I WAS speaking english honest!

just back from the MW. everything is fine. BP good, urine good, Bloods still not back (4 weeks later!!) but she said that if there was anything wrong the GP would have phoned.
DS came with me and it was the MW who delivered him! neither of us could believe it's been over 3 years.
you should have seen DS's face when he could hear the baby's heartbeat! i almost cried he was so sweet!

i asked about painkillers, she said to make an appt with the GP which i then forgot to do on my way out [babybrain]

BoffinMum · 05/03/2009 15:00

That is so lovely, purple.

My DSs loved hearing the heartbeat as well, and then the mw offered to let DS2 hear his own, so he pulled his t-shirt up very proudly, and was really delighted to hear it indeed.

It is so nice to have a personal connection like that with a mw.

BoffinMum · 05/03/2009 15:01

Has no one shot those dancing children yet?? Would it be illegal to do so, do you think?

purplemonkeydishwasher · 05/03/2009 15:02

and i have to go back every 2 weeks from now on. that makes this seem a lot more real.

purplemonkeydishwasher · 05/03/2009 15:03

oh that AD!!!!!!! seriously makes me almost think about considering NOT putting cbeebies on for DS.

BoffinMum · 05/03/2009 15:04

Shall we film our own version????
Think of all that wobbling ....
Somebody PLEASE email MNTowers and ask them to take the ad away.

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 05/03/2009 15:10

Totally agree about that ad... it's the most annoying thing ever! And it shouts at me all the time so I've turned my volume off - then couldn't figure out why, on my Skype call to my sister in NY last night, she could hear me but I couldn't hear her... baby brain indeed!!
