Doggus that image made me smile also.

HC think i might have a September bub too, was ds was a week and a day early! I'm so impatient towards the end, so wouldn't mind this one coming at the same time. I am watching desperate h/w too, love it.

hackneybird · 11/03/2009 22:41

Evening all - v.v. pleased for you, boob and doggus. Nothing like lovely stories to keep us all going!

I'm another one who is fretting about disappearing symptoms. I'm about 9+4, and for the last two days have felt so much better, I have much more energy. Perhaps it's just as we approach the 10w stage.

More fun and games with my ante-natal 'care'. It's all so bloody disorganised here. I was verbally given a scan appt date of 30th March (which I double checked by phone earlier this week as I had had nothing in writing).

Then today I get a letter teling me I have an appt on 30 April, and all the paperwork that came with it seems to indicate that it's a first scan, as it's all about blood tests and Down's screening. More bloody phone calls required. Argh.

sammysam · 12/03/2009 08:32

Morning all!

Doggus-very funny-poor ds though-bet he wsa very shocked when he realised!!

I'm really worrying at the moment-just feel very weird. Tummy is smaller. I don't know-it is just a feeling. Ms is still there but then from what i've heard that doesn't always mean anything...... I am so at myself for fretting so much-there is nothing I can do anyway so i'm just destressing myself for no good reason. Tuesday seems so far away.......
I really hope I'm just crazy that would be a FAR better outcome

HappyTangerine-thank you so much for your help-I was thinking a cream shrug-think i'll need to find one with long sleves though-tha shoudn't be too hard though!
We don't have a dog-almost got a puppy last year-I have never really been without a dog and feel a bit lost plus I didn't want dd to miss growing up with one. However both my mum and sis have puppies which are both nightmares-causing a lot of trouble and each time i spend a weekend I just think thank god i don't have that to contend with as well!!!! I'm a bit worried the longer we leave it the less likely we will as we can see the cons much more than the pros.........maybe in a few years we'll be ready I do really miss having a well behaved dog though
What a lovely man to lend you his dog

Patmum-so sorry to hear your week wasn't productive and has left you so run down-hopefully you'll all feel better soon

Can't remember what else I was going to say....my brain is shot

Cazza28 · 12/03/2009 08:38

Morning All,

Had my booking in apt. Yesterday and got my 12 week scan for 27.03.09. Arms still aching today they had trouble getting my blood I have at least 5 goes!I asked if she could listen to the heart beat but she said it was to early!!

Hope you are all ok, I to am panicking about lack of MS and not seeing anything at the 12 weeks scan, but decided this morning stuff it, I am going to enjoy the next two weeks and look forward to the scan - no point being upset until you know for sure!

xx

littlepea72 · 12/03/2009 08:55

Sammysam, i know where you are coming from. My MS has eased off a good bit, im still really tired and ive got really bad fuzzy head which maked me feel like a zombie, but im losing weight, my tummy is pushing my jeans down but it looks smaller. Im just wondering if its because im not eating that much and i am losing the weight, which makes my tummy look smaller even though its not (i really hope that makes sence!). Roll on scan!

smallone · 12/03/2009 09:28

Aghhh just typed loads and its disappeared! grr

sammy my tummy has softened too,It was quite hard just below my belly button, but I think the uterus is probably still much lower. I think its water retention or constipation thats easing off.

I think things may be looking up with DH, he saw me throw up this morning, which he knows I'd do everything to avoid, and he then came and gave me a hug so perhaps this was the concrete evidence he needed.

MrsPuddleduck · 12/03/2009 09:39

Morning all.

Still feeling ropey here, just not as bad so as Cazza quite rightly puts it we may as well enjoy this time rather than worrying!

Tangerine- we have had two BC's. The first (who we adored- he was the best dog ever) died aged 2 due to the neglect of the vet. I was so heartbroken DH decided we should get another. Rather than getting a farm puppy like the first we decided to get a 'proper' one. Big mistake. She was the most neurotic dog ever and was virtually scared of her own shadow. She HATED ds1 when he came along. Not that she was ever vicious towards him but completely ignored him and was incredibly aloof about the whole thing. We ended up re-homing her when due to increased washing the tumble dryer was on twice a day and she was a nervous wreck as a result. We re-homed her through Border Collie Trust so know she went to a single lady who needed a companion. Sorry that was an epic!

HC - are you feeling better now then?

Treats - I watched the programme on Whipps too. And did have a small private sob! Did you think that the couple who had the baby by c-section seemed a bid disinterested in it after the birth?

Doggus - have you tried H&M? They do maternity clothes in S M L and XL - you will probably fit into S. I have a pair of M jeans which I can usually only wear up to about 5 months before they are too small.

Hi to everyone else!!!

MrsPuddleduck · 12/03/2009 09:42

Does anyone know if Blooming Marvelous has gone bump? I am wondering why I haven't received my catalogue.....

lixanismapolium · 12/03/2009 09:43

Morning stress bunnies! I feel exactly the same....

Called the hospital yesterday as I hadn't been sent any appointments and they had never received my referral - aaarrrggghhhhh! Anyway, the receptionist at my GP was going to fax it through yesterday afternoon, so hopefully they have it now.

So deperate for a scan to see if all is OK this time. I seem to spend all of my time looking for 'signs' and it is driving me just a little but crazy.

littlepea72 · 12/03/2009 10:04

Going to ask something here and i hope no-one starts laughing at me. Ive just felt light ripples...like flutters in my right lower tummy, not wind, surely it would be far to early to feel anything wouldnt it, tell me im just being silly! Im only 9+5

Cazza28 · 12/03/2009 10:42

Littlepea I swear i felt something move a few days ago that was different to anything I have felt before..... I to thought it was to early, but you never know. x

KleineMaus · 12/03/2009 10:49

Littlepea, I've been convinced I've been feeling movement since about 9 weeks-ish. It does seem early, but it really felt the same as with ds, when I was a bit further on. I didn't mention it to the midwife though as I thought she'd think me mad. I seem to remember Cazza talking about it too though.

Kind of relieved to hear people talking about feeling a bit better and having a smaller tummy as I've felt that too and it's made me nervous. Having said that I felt better for a day or so last week and then was sick big time...

Just found out that one of the mums at toddler group is pregnant and due a few days after me. It'll be really nice to have someone to talk to about stuff in RL. Scan in less than a week.

KleineMaus · 12/03/2009 10:57

oops, x-post with Cazza there, but obviously I was remembering right...

littlepea72 · 12/03/2009 11:23

Really glad im not going crazy! It felt like the first time i felt DS & that was at 16 wks, so i was worried it was to early. It put a smile on my face anyway!

HumphreysCorner · 12/03/2009 11:35

Willmouse-I am sick first thing every morning then the rest of the time I feel like I have a terrible hangover. How are you feeling?

I'm sure I felt a flutter when I drank my cold soda water. Very strange but then with DD2 I was 4 stone heavier so didn't feel anything until about 14 weeks. The scan really can't come soon enough as I keep having dreams about it.

Big wave to everyone!

blooming marvolous has been taken over and is still opperating yipee

fidelma · 12/03/2009 12:18

I've read that only 1% of pregnancies end in a mmc so please try not tooooooooo worry. We are all doing really well the days are passing it wont be long until our scans.

MrsPuddleduck · 12/03/2009 12:57

fidelma - phew! about blooming marvelous 0 god knows when I will get my catalogue though!

HC - I feel sick first thing in the morning and can function once I have had toast. Then I feel sick on and off all day until about 7pm when I go downhill swiftly. By 9pm all I want to do is go to bed. However, I have been better in the last two days and my evening meal hasn't been such an ordeal.

I never realised you could feel things moving so early. I thought I had wind - could it be something else?

lixanismapolium · 12/03/2009 12:59

I too am feeling the flutters - loads earlier than last time around. I was wondering if it could be an enlarged uterus pressing on a nerve??????? Who knows!

Treats · 12/03/2009 13:13

Willmouse - yes they did look a bit "Whatever" didn't they. The other birth was lovely though. That look of shock on the woman's face - after all that pushing and all the worry about her hips and being told that she'd be sent for a c-section if nothing happened in the next half an hour - and then suddenly there it was!! I cried and cried......

And - as someone has already said - Blooming Marvellous is still trading. I went to the Wandsworth branch the other day. Wasn't very impressed with the service but some of the clothes were lovely.

Glad that people are beginning to feel better. Was feeling a right fraud that I haven't really suffered from ms like everyone else. How exciting that some people are beginning to feel movement! I can't wait for that to happen to me.

Andrea75 · 12/03/2009 13:41

1st ever post on mumsnet!! Am due 10 Oct no.2. had DD1 5 aug 07. am tired and sick and chasing no1 round lots. Also have small bump (1st time round hardly showed till 20 weeks!!!). Disguising it till i tell my work :-).

Meek · 12/03/2009 14:21

Hi Andrea,

Funny to read your message first about your bump, having not been on for a few days...I am only just coming up to 8 weeks with my 2nd and am at work today and my PA has been asked by 3 people this morning if I'm pregnant?!! I am sooo bloated that I know I look it but it's still quite upsetting me today that everyone is speculating about me. How on earth can I hide it?!?! I know if I come in tomorrow in something baggy and floaty that will confirm it further in peoples minds. Arrrrggghhh! xx

schmizaj · 12/03/2009 14:37

Hey wow I am late to the party! Due 20/10/09 Schmizaj and preg #2. Think I'm a little bit in denial and think preg too early to count so totally lost track of weeks - coming up 8 maybe.... Not told anyone so doesn't feel so real I think.

Got scan appointment through already for 9/4 though so am v impressed compared to last NHS experience, great to have the time to plan re work and childcare. Am also getting bumpy though, and lament the loss of tummy muscles. So hope I can keep it secret just so I can tell people when I want them to know!! But feeling so much more nauseous this time so think it is all out front as struggle to eat.

Dilemma is though that gave maternity clothes to friend due soon so to get them back would have to fess up! Not sure my fat-day clothes will see me through for another month!!

HappyTangerine · 12/03/2009 15:09

Doggus - I laughed so much at your post re ds!

SammySam and Willmouse - thanks for your posts re. dog. Willmouse, I'm so sorry about your 2 yr old border collie, you must have been devastated. We're going to have a think about it and not rush into anything, the home just doesn't feel right without a dog in it though.

lixanismapolium-ah yes, the no referral, referral. I had that. Drove me mental! They faxed over my details-to the ward not the clinic so I spent all afternoon chasing

Andrea and scmizaj - hello and congratulations!

No sickness here today, welcome relief. Got call to say dentist is off sick again so the saga of of the incomplete root canal continues, this time until March 26th. Happily, no pain. Feel a bit dozy though - went to get something from a high shelf last night with a ladder. Dh walked in and found me standing in front of the folded up ironing board, ready to start climbing!

Kind of looking forward to wedding next Thursday but groom(my friend) is having a strop with me because I've said me and dh don't want to join him and bride on their honeymoon for a few days in the Lakes. Its a romantic hideaway honeymoon, I thought the whole point was to be alone?!

theboob · 12/03/2009 15:11
