Thank you for ur answers..

Beksmum's scan is today.........where are you???

CADS · 05/05/2005 20:52

Hi everyone.

Hope you are all starting to feel better.

Chacha - I also have dc and did throughout my entire pregnancy with DS. It is just hormones except if as the others said.

Beksmum - Hope your scan went well.

Have been battling to find nice maternity clothes too. I was complaining to dh this weekend, and he laughed because he heard it all last time.

I have found a few websites that might interest you. By the time I get to the shops only the horrible stuff that nobody likes is left.

www.jojomamanbebe.co.uk
www.businessbump.co.uk
www.funmum.com
www.topshop.co.uk
www.bloomingmarvellous.co.uk
www.next.co.uk

If you have any others, please let us know.

When I had my scan, baby was measured (crown to rump) at 58.6mm which I think is a little bit small. I am sure ds was 70mm at the same stage. For those of you who have had scans, how long was your baby? and how many weeks + days were you at the time? I have been hoping for a boy but now due to the size I am beginning to think it might be a girl. We don't want to find out what the sex is but now I can't stop thinking about it.

I will stop boring you all now and say goodnight.

Xena · 05/05/2005 20:56

Beksmum I worried where are you?

Xena · 05/05/2005 20:56

sorry should read I'm worried

Laylasmum · 05/05/2005 21:13

Cha cha its normal to get an increase in discgarge during pregnancy its all the hormones!! only need to worry if you're sore or it starts to smell. i've had loads more d/c this time can't remember having i with DD and, hope this isn't too gross,it looks just like yellowy snot!!!mw said not to worry though!1

BEKsmum · 05/05/2005 22:12

Evening all, sorry to have you worried, my appointment was at 5:30pm but didn't actually get seen till 7:30pm! Then had to stop off at McDonalds to feed ds who was starving poor little mite and I had to phone my mum in Spain as she had been worrying!

Everything was absolutely fine and the guy that did the test was fantastic. Baby was much more active and it was agreed that I am 12 weeks 4 days and my risk of a downs baby or abnormality were very low indeed.

Cads baby was 70mm or 7cm from crown to rump today and last week on when 25th April they said I was 11 weeks 1 day it was 45mm or 4.5cm

It was still quite lazy though so the guy had me jumping up and down in the corner like a loony!

We saw everything in detail from the brain to the fingers and toes and as we took ds with us it was very cool as the guy gave us lots of detail on everything and allowed us to listen to the heart beat which ds thought was very strange. We told him that the baby gave him a wave and he was very impressed. Found it all very funny when they put the cold gel on my tummy and I jumped!

He also gave us a really clear close up side profile picture of baby, which is fab. I feel much happier about the whole pregnancy now hooray.

So as you can see I'm one chuffed mummy tonight and to round things off ds has been an absolute angel today, just hope it stays that way for a while especially as I've got to have my blood pressure checked tomorrow.

Chacha, sounds fine to me and I'd say the same as the other girls really. When it comes to coke I think it's ok in moderation but try to avoid it if you can just because it's full of crap!

Kristina is this because the bubbles go up your nose and make you sneeze then?

Right got to go as dh is lurking behind me waiting to play his game, thanks for your concern, it's really nice to know you guys are out there and I'll catch up with you all tomorrow.

KristinaM · 05/05/2005 22:25

great news beksmum - so pleased for you. and tell Dh to get off his a* playing computer games and clean the house!!!!! You need to rest for 24 hours after your scan. Dr Kristina's orders

Diddle · 06/05/2005 08:23

beksmum - phew, i'm really pleased everything was okay with your little bump. Sounds like you had an amzing scan.

Enthusia · 06/05/2005 08:56

BEKs mum - your message made me feel better, not only beacuse I knew it had gone well for you, but also becasue of your bubs measurements!!!!

My bub was only 5.6mm at 11+4 days and I thought this was a bit on the small side, but after reading your message I see that the baby grows a huge amount in a short time, so by now, well it could be at leat a metre long!!!!

Feeling absolutely knackered at the mo, and SSSSOOOOOO sick, roll on the weekend.

ChaCha - I also still have discharge, mine is still the snotty kind though!

Having loads of strecthing pains and a really odd feeling in tummy that is hard to describe, anyone else having weird bump feelings? I am 13 weeks today!!!

Diddle · 06/05/2005 09:19

Enthusia - congrats on being 13 wks today. Sorry you are feeling so naff. could the feelings you are getting be the baby kicking and moving?

Xena · 06/05/2005 09:47

Beks so glad your scan went well heres to the next 28wks.
Enthusia I was so hoping that the sickness was going to wear off by 13wks.
Hope everyone has a great day xxx

CADS · 06/05/2005 10:28

Beksmum - That is fantastic news. Our scan wasn't very exciting compared to ds's. It was very quick and the sonographer wasn't very friendly. DH said it was a good thing we weren't 1st time parents because it was all very rushed and we didn't get as many angles and close ups as last time. Thanks for your measurments.

I wondering whether she didn't measure properly with all the rushing. I will speak to my mw but there isn't anything we can do now. DS was definitely 7cm at 12+4 whereas this baby is 5.86cm at 12+3, seems like a huge difference. I have definitely got my dates right because my cycle where like clock work and I can tell when I ovulate. Have to stop obessing about this. Starting to worry myself.

Enthusia - I hope you start feeling better soon. Congrats on the 13 weeks.

Diddle - How are you doing?

Hope you all have a lovely day and weekend.
X

CADS · 06/05/2005 10:32

Enthusia - Going through the same stretching pains especially on my right side which I think is the ligments stretching. Also have the "odd feeling in tummy that is hard to describe" but not sure what it is. I don't think it is the baby moving. I am not too concerned at the moment.

BEKsmum · 06/05/2005 17:52

Afternoon all, Cads I wouldn't worry too much if you can help it, even with a rushed scan they still would have told you if there was a problem, it's really horrible when they are rushed like that and with the attitude of I see this all day long when it's something so very important to you.

Have the same sort of stretchy achey pains as the rest of you so it looks like we're all on the right track. We're nearly all past the 12 week goal now aren't we?

Enthusia you might find that the sickness drags on till week 14 but that's mainly 'cos you don't get enough time to rest so your body is still fighting you a bit.

Hi Diddle how's it going? what are you up to?

Kristina I like the suggestion and it was re-enforced by the dr to day who said I need to get more rest, yeah like that's going to happen with a 3 year old that doesn't stop playing football from morning till night, so it look like it's going to be lots of early nights for me for a while, which is ok if there's something on the telly or if I've got a good book but otherwise very very dull.

Xena how's the pre teen doing? Is he still driving you mad? Ds has been an angel for the last couple of days and I am very very relieved!

Better go and give him some attention now as daddy is in a bit late tonight, his crap boss always organises the monthly meeting for 4:30pm knowing it will run over, as you can tell I'm not a big fan of the man.

Have a nice evening and weekend all, going now to play siderman on the pc with ds.

Diddle · 06/05/2005 18:18

hi Guys, i'm not too bad thank you, having my moments, still quite emotional, on and off, got a busy weekend plans emptying my nans house and driving some of the big things down to my mom in Wales. DH has booked us a meal out tonight, which is very unlike him, so hopefully should have a good evening.
Hope everyone has a good weekend and the sun stays out for it.

BEKsmum · 06/05/2005 19:01

Hope you have a lovely meal out tonight Diddle, very jeaslous! Perhaps he realises you're still a bit wobbly and just wants to do something nice for you for a change.

Where about's in Wales does your mum live? My dh's mum lives in Usk and his sister lives in Cwmbran, so we spend a few weekends a year down there.

Will your mum wait on you hand and foot while you're there or will you be expected to do things for her instead?

Have a good one whichever it is and safe travelling.

rodeo1 · 07/05/2005 00:44

Hi all,

This thread's long now!! Just got back from work, I'll go to bed in a min!

Had a bit of a wobbly day today, starting to feel really paranoid, belly not growing much, sickness gone (mostly), (mw appt didn't help!) just wanting scan to come. Poor dp tried to get my scan brought forward today because I was in such a state (to no avail). So not been on much recently, don't want to bring you all down! Sorry! Can't help expecting the worst, don't know why I'm feeling like this, I'm sure I wasn't this bad with the others.

I will keep checking in, I won't disappear,

Love hugs and kisses to you all x x x x x x x
