Chocolate & Hellkat you too have me in stitches, I'm laughing away and my ds thinks I've gone mad.
Totally agree with the smell thing, the slightest thing can make me heave at the moment, can't agree with the eyebrow fetish though, very strange perhaps you need your own thread to discuss that one further

Can't seem to eat healthily with this pregnancy either, last time I craved jacket potatoes & cherry tomatoes, and I gave up all junk food of any description, but this time it's junk all the way and I'm so forgetful that I keep forgetting to take the vitamin supplement - not happy with myself for this

BusyAlex what's up? hadn't seen you post for a while so thought you must be offline Is everything going ok?

Welcome aborad Panther, I'm due on the 7th so we're not that far apart, hope everything goes well for you.

Enthusia, glad you got to see bub, must have been very reassuring. Hope everything goes ok with the biopsy

Diddle good for you for taking a holiday, childminders need a break too, they are often taken for granted. Where are you going? I'm hoping to get out to Spain to see my parents at the beginning of June

Jenjam yep agree with being baby obsessed, but more so when carrying ds as it seemed to be the most important thing in the whole world, now only get to think about this one when on here - which seems to be a hell of a lot.

BEKsmum · 14/04/2005 10:38

CP3 sorry sweetheart I was typing when your message appeared, have you spoken to your midwife this morning, can she suggest anything you can do.

Would it be possible for you to get the kids looked after for a little while so that you can get total bedrest for a couple of days - I know that sounds impossible but it might be what you need.. Could you dh take a couple of days off work and cope with the kids on his own?

Thinking of you and send ing you lots of {{{{{hugs}}}}}

BEKsmum · 14/04/2005 10:39

Twinkle have you told us where you're going on holiday? Sorry if you have told you I was forgetful!

JenJam · 14/04/2005 10:39

i'm going to try the eyebrow thing tonight see if it does anything for me, and i also enjoy freaking dp out with the wierd and wonderful.

now a new q for you all. stretch mark cream. when and where and how much of it? friend keeps telling me to start soon as she can already hear me later. i think it's too early but perhaps softening up well in advance of any stretching is good idea? anyhow i put cream on yesterday and this morning. not sure how much and how far up to go....because stretch marks look as if they travel. so did all the obvious places then extended a bit ended up being from neck to fanny including under arms and round the sides of my hips! then wondered if i should do my backside as well so did that and then realised that I am only going to get 5 covreings per pot of the stuff. and it's not cheap! what do we reckon?

heard people in the office talking about another pregnant lady "who let herself go" turned into Jabba the Hutt...ears pricked up and have decided to seriously seriously slow down on eating.

CP3 please try and remain positive. I know how hard it is for you. Have you contacted the hospital? Try and get an earlier appointment.

twinkle1 · 14/04/2005 11:02

Diddle · 14/04/2005 11:11

cp3 - sorry to hear you're not feeling too good. stay positive and make sure you take it easy, could be nothing.

Beksmum - we're going to Fuertaventura, back to the first place we went abroad together. How romantic, can't wait.

twinkle1 · 14/04/2005 11:20

Diddle · 14/04/2005 11:21

Pee Pee - I am so sorry for you loss, you must be gutted. If you don't mind me asking how many m/c's have you had now? You deserve your rural retreat, make sure you enjoy it and make the most of it.
How are you feeling?

Xena · 14/04/2005 11:22

Im we could really do with a holiday we haven't been away since before easter last year
How are you feeling cp3? (do you have 3 children already?) If thats right then I am sure that its hard to get much rest but accept any help you are offered. xxx
Hope everyone else is well my ms seems to be easing but the tiredness makes it hard to get out of bed in the morning I fell asleep before 8.30 last night and slept straight through till 7.10 this morning. Dh wasn't too pleased last night as it was his birthday and I was asleep straight after dinner.

Xena · 14/04/2005 11:23

cads · 14/04/2005 11:26

Peepee, Diddle and LexyB - I am so sorry to read your sad news. Can't imagine what you are going through but you all seem very brave and I hope if I am ever have to go through this I can be as brave as you. Hope the future holds better times for you, you all deserve it. Glad you are staying in touch and will be watching the TTC threads and holding thumbs for you.

CP3 - I hope next week brings good news for you. I haven't been through any of this before so can't give you any advice that the others haven't already. Keeping fingers crossed for you.

Enthusia and Chacha - Good to see you are both feeling alot more positive and that everyone at your work is being supportive. Enthusia - Scans are brilliant aren't they, makes everything feel real. Can't wait till mine.

Welcome panther and anyone else who has joined us since i have been away.

Still going through the 1) can't get motivated", 2)eating everything I shouldn't and 3)feeling exhausted and shxxty stage. The smell thing is really bugging me too especially when changing ds's nappy.

Hope everyone else is doing well.

Bye for now.

BEKsmum · 14/04/2005 12:34

Peepee, I'm so sorry I'm gutted for you & your dh, I know I've said this to the others too, but it is all so sad.

You seem to be holding things together really well but I'm sure it must be very difficult for you. I hope they can give you some positive news once they start testing you and I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that you have a successful pregnancy in the near future. Please stick around if you can bear it as we're all here if you need us. Take care of yourself and make the most of your retreat weekend. Sending {{{{hugs to you and your dh}}}}

BEKsmum · 14/04/2005 12:38

Diddle, that's really nice hope itbrings back all the romance for you. I've only been to Feurteventura once on a day trip from Lanzarote when I was kid with my parents and then there were only two hotels there and a lot of sand! Everyone who goes there says it's lovely though so might have to give it another go.

Twinkle nice choice again went to Tenerife when I was a kid and loved it, have fun.

Xena nothing like making your hubby feel special on his birthday!!! But don't feel guilty it's his fault your suffering - I surprised myself by being able to stay awake till after 11pm last night first time this week, think it was 'cos I was doing the ironing!

HellKat · 14/04/2005 12:42

Oh Chocolate. Thankyou!!!!!!! I don't feel like such a freak now lol.
Glad to make you smile Beks.
Peepee- God hunny I'm so sorry. If you need us we're here.
Cp3- My thoughts are with you to hun.
