Hi BeckMum too, thankyou too , yes it has been a crazy year and I expect about to get crazier. Getting so cranky at work and home lately, and putting so much weight on already even though I'm not eating so well !
Never mind, more of it to come as I keep being told !
Take care !

KristinaM · 24/04/2005 17:56

Welcome sharon - hope the messages make more sense to you now. It just takes a while to get used to them, then you will be referring to your DH in RL ( real life)
This is the place to be if you are feeing a bit isolated as we are all at the same stage with ( mostly) the same worries. So no matter how silly or embarassing your worry, there is probably someone else thinking just the same thing.

KristinaM · 24/04/2005 17:58

How are the rest of you feeling? I am simply exhausted and very fed up with the constant morning sickness . Not a very good name in my case as it lasts all day and night. Prefer the term progesterone poisoning . Roll on week 14

Diddle · 24/04/2005 18:28

hello,
i'm still here. Have been to my sisters for the weekend, we try and meet up once a month.
Feeling a little emotional but generally ok.
I'm pleased you are all feeling sick and horribe. its a good sign.
Enjoy your sunday evenings.

BEKsmum · 24/04/2005 18:38

Enthusia, I've been there on my holidays, the mountain range there is known as the elephant isn't it.

Funny you saying that you are taking bub out at Christmas we had planned to go out at christmas too but I'm not sure if bub will be too little for the air pressure, what do you think?

Gotta go just pooped on while rellies are here, very naughty, speak to you later.

dangirl · 24/04/2005 21:08

He everyone,
Had a bit of a scare last night.
My DH and and I had been BD , which has not happened too often since finding out that I am pregnant as I am a bit nervous due to previous m/c. Anyway, afterwards I realised that I was bleeding a bit. Not much, only on wiping, but it was really frightening. I of course went to check every other hour all through the night. During the course of the day it has completely stopped it has only been brown stuff and very little today (sorry if TMI). No pains at any time.
I think I am in the clear and allright but I tell you I just got soo upset! Feeling better now though. I wonder if we will ever feel safe?
11 weeks +1 now.
A bit of a ramble, sorry, just needed to off load a bit.

Speak to you all soon.
Dangirl xx

BEKsmum · 24/04/2005 21:25

Dangirl, glad to hear things have settled down, it must have frightened the life out of you. Take things easy if you can for a couple of days just to make sure you are in the clear. Hasn't bding got you into enough trouble already

Hey Diddle sounds like you had a nice weekend with your sister, did you tell her what had happened or have you not told anyone? Don't forget we're all here for you and we don't just have to chat about baby stuff I'm sure we've all got loads in common other than this thread.

Got to go as I've got to write a computer guide for idiots for my parents before they go back to Spain tomorrow and I haven't even started it yet.

Take care all, I've got my scan tomorrow so hopefully will have good things to write tomorrow night.

dangirl · 24/04/2005 21:27

thank you BEKsmum.
Good luck with the scan tomorrow!
Dangirl

yingers74 · 24/04/2005 21:48

kristina - hope morning sickness ends soon. Know how you feel, I am tired of feeling qeasey and tired of feeling tired all the time! Fingers crossed it all trails off soon, and we can all look at food again without heading to bathroom!

dangirl - after an m/c I don't think you ever feel safe until after your first scan and even then probably not till after labour. i am about 12 weeks and am always nervous of any twitch or twinge! Am sure things will be fine for both us us though. when is your scan?

rodeo1 · 24/04/2005 22:55

Beks- Good luck today hun! Let us know how you get on.
Rodeo- Thankyou! He is a little darling!

Enthusia · 25/04/2005 08:25

My head has just scared the life out of me by saying one of the teachers may have german measles!!!!!!!!!!!! I have had my rubella vaccine but I was about 13, do you think there would be much risk??????? We will find out this afternoon whether it is GM or not as she has a DR's appointment - I am just in a worried, frenzied state now. I do not have a fever or any rashes or anything but I am still scared, this is not helped by my Heads comment of 'oh well, the damage would already be done to your baby!' I want to cry!!!!

JenJam · 25/04/2005 08:47

Hi enthusia your head sounds like a complete insensitive bXXXX! im not an expert on any of this but i thougth the reason why us girls have the rubella jab is to guard against measles affecting growing babies during pregnancy (have you tried doing a search on the internet...?)
isn't today the day you get your scan? if you're not seeing a professional today why don't you call midwife/doc...i've made a couple of neurotic calls to mine and they were v. understanding...try not to get yourself stressed out about it - i bet everything is fine.

JenJam · 25/04/2005 08:51

enthusia..i just looked on babycentre.co.uk and it says if you have had the MMR jab you should be immune to it and baby should be safe. hope that puts your mind at rest.

Enthusia · 25/04/2005 08:53

My Head loves a scandle and is always winding people up, I should know this and stay calm but my emotions aren't working ike that at the mo!!! My scan is on Wednesday, I was worried about it before, I am neurotic now!!!!

dangirl · 25/04/2005 08:56

measles is not the same as rubella. But if you have had the MMR then you and your baby will be safe.
Dangirl

dangirl · 25/04/2005 08:57

by the way, your headmaster does sound like a real i.... very poor management!!!

Diddle · 25/04/2005 09:39

beksmum & TC- hope your scan goes well. Let us all know how you got on. how exciting for you. i'm getting excited just thinking about it.
Thanks for the kind words Beks. I have told my sister about the m/c although she's not the mst thoughful of people and after the first one all she could do was talk about her friends who were having babies. This time she has hardly asked anything and has talked about herself over anyone elses conversation. good job i know thats what she's like and didn't really pay much attention to her.
We bought two rose trees yesterday in memory of out lost little ones. My only problem is that i am terrible at looking after plants and will be gutted if they die too good job i can laugh about that.
My mom thinks its morbid but i guess its hard for anyone to understand if they haven't been through it.
Enthusia - If you ahve had MMR you shoud be ok. i wonder if your doc could give you a booster maybe? its worth asking, it would only take a phone call, and would probably put your mind at rest. Hope you're not feeling too yucky.
Dangirl - Glad to hear thinsg have settled down, i'm sure it was probably nothing. take it easy for the next few days just to be sure. Or as easy as you can. I don't think you will ever feel secure until you have the little bundle of joy in your arms. esp after a m/c. i know i will be a nervous wreck.

BEKsmum · 25/04/2005 10:20

Morning all, thanks for the good luck messages girls, here's hoping I've got good news to tell and not that I'm having twins like everyone keeps telling me - I am a big girl and look six months already so maybe that's why ! Although a psychic my mum goes to has said I am going to have twins and she hasn't been wrong about anything else regarding the family yet, exact predictions regarding my nephews and ds down to their exact descriptions and of my parent's house in Spain, and of their plans very freaky.

Diddle, sisters who'd have them, my SIL is very like that, glad you can take her with a pinch of salt. Glad you got your plants, who cares what anyone else thinks we all think it's a lovely idea, but like you I'm not very good with anything green so won't be giving you any care advice - good luck

HK thinking of you take it easy tonight and knock back a bottle or two of wine if you're allowed, I'll be thinking of you tomorrow.

Rodeo my ds is 3 like yours and he loved the drama class, they taught him to pull funny faces, stick his tongue out and to pretend to be a motorbike and a racing car which he can already do without me having to pay for the priviledge, but he also had to listen and following structions so that he could copy the teachers actions. He came out after the hour and a half grinning from ear to ear and when we got home his dad opened the car door and without any prompting he said "I had a great time dad" so needless to say we'll be going back next week.

Enthusia, your head sounds like a complete t*er, like the others said give your dr or midwife a call just to put your mind at ease and just think if you don't go back you can happily stick two fingers up at him when you tell him you're staying at home with your perfectly healthy happy baby.

ChaCha · 25/04/2005 10:24

Enthusia....get on the phone to your doc/midwife, put your mind at rest if nothing else. Oh..honestly, some people are so insensitive - be strong now, give them a call! Go on...

rodeo1 · 25/04/2005 10:34

Enthusia, ring your mw or your gp, although if you've had your immunisation, it's extremely unlikely for you not to be immune, try not to worry - you should go on plenty of sick leave now, teach that git a lesson!

Beks, sounds brill, glad he had a great time! What time is your scan? I'm really excited - I hope it is twins!!
