Just a quick post before I go to work (oh poo - I'm knackered!)

Have a lovely evening all

Thomcat - Just read your thread on conception - it was so lovely! And everybody loves you!! You'll have to give us a full service history when you get chance!

Rodeo - work..oh my gosh! It's almost my bedtime!

Have been given the tablets. Puked the first one but second seems to be staying down. Feel absolutely crap, you wouldn't believe, and no work today and nothing done at home. Just sit like a zombie all day until toilet calls..(to puke in)

Love to you all xx

Thomcat · 22/04/2005 22:11

Hi girls. Just wanted to come on and say hi and say hope you are all okay. I don't feel like I can be a real member of the club until I feel safe iykwim. I have a private scan booked on monday at 5pm so I can feel better and more real and then I'll join you in earnest.
DP was shocked, happy na dlaughed, a lot btw!
So hope you all are wonderful, have good weekends and I'll join you again properly when I know it's all good, at this satge anyway, there's a long road ahead I just need to know at this stage that is all as it should be.
Love TC x

Thomcat · 22/04/2005 22:12

ChaCha - sorry to hear you are being sick hon', hope that stops soon.

BEKsmum · 22/04/2005 22:18

HK are you ok? Is my suggestion about keeping you on the update list ok? I don't want to cause any offence or upset, just thought as you started the thread you should still be on it. What are you up to over the weekend? I hope you plan on spoiling yourself

Rodeo, don't envy you going to work, I used to work nights too, but gave up at christmas, was supposed to be looking for work before I got pregnant, but no point now - shame not!

Chacha, feeling for you, I feel really rough too, not actually puking just lots of heaving and feeling like c**p. Mine comes on late afternoon and lasts till I go to bed, which is exactly where I'm going now.

Have a good weekend all, ds starts drama classes tomorrow, so I'm sure i'll have something amusing to tell you all tomorrow night.

HellKat · 23/04/2005 06:47

Beks- That's a wonderful idea and I feel truly honoured! Thankyou hunny!
Still trying not to dwell on things just waiting to get Tuesday over with, then grieve, then try to move forwards.
Dp is totally for a doppler (sp?) next time just before we have a scan. So at least that'll take that worry out of it.
I was laughing so much this morning, had tears rolling down my cheeks. Again, all thanks to little ds1. He was watching Boobah's and normally scowls at them, then looks at me totally bewildered as if to say "Mum, what the hell are those things on?". Well he decided they're there for his amusement. He sat there chuckling, giggling and squealing so much his belly was jiggling (he has a big pudgy tum) and had little tears coming down his cheeks. Well that set me off. This last week he's been amazing! I swear he knows something bad has happened and thinks of it as his job to make mummy laugh every day (which he's done).
Have a great weekend all.

HellKat · 23/04/2005 06:48

Beks- Sorry forgot to add. Not up to much tis weekend just taking it easy. What about you?

Enthusia · 23/04/2005 07:41

ChaCha - I was prescribed with Stemetti-off which is a effervecent mixture that tastes like lemonade. I was also in your position as could not keep anything down, not even water. I took them for 5 days and in that time managed to eat again, am still sick occasionally but it has been 4 days since my last puke (sounds like an AA confession doesn't it!).

I also used sea-bands - bloody tight- and Bach's Rescue Remedy spray - don't know which helped the4 most or whether it was a combination but I definitely felt better.

I have more motivation now than before and cope with 9 hour days at school 5 days a week, home is not coping so well and is a crap-heap but my parents said they would help out as much as possible now they are here and DH is being wonderful.

My pg symptoms do not seem as bad now, other than the lack of energy in the evenings, churning stomach, farting and some strecthy cramps, I am hoping this is not a sign that something has gone wrong. My 12 week scan is on Wednesday!!!!!!

Hope you are feelling better to day ChaCha.

Hope you are also ok JenJam and Diddle!!!!!

Hope everyone else had a great Friday night.

Speak later.

ChaCha · 23/04/2005 09:58

Enthusia!! (Trumpets blast in the background)

Great to hear from you at last! We've missed you. The rescue remedy spray sounds interesting, will look that up. It sounds like you're doing well, I've gone part time at work now, I could not do the hours and to be honest, its long overdue. Our home is a bit of a disaster area but i don't really care, tried something simple like unloading the dishwasher and that hot steam smell just made me ill, ill, ill!!! Am the pits!
Have taken a tablet this morning and kept breakfast down although the nausea is still as it was. Now i am writing a diary entry so best stop. You must be counting the days until Wednesday, i have my booking appt on Thursday, fingers crossed

Hellkat, your ds sounds soooo sweet, bless him. He must bring you so much happiness.

How are peepee, cp3 and Diddle hasn't been on for a couple days..everything okay?

BEKsmum · 23/04/2005 10:13

HK your ds sounds adorable and you're right he does know everything's not right in your world and will do anything to make you smile, they don't like seeing you sad as they don't understand it, especailly as it's normally mummy that spends all day pulling silly faces at them and tickling them to make them laugh. It's very confusing for them and they take in far more than we realise I think.

Enjoy your quiet weekend I think it's probably what you need to help you face next week, again if you want to let off steam you can always do it to my hotmail if you don't want to do it on here.

Not much planned for this weekend here, ds is starting drama school today, so i will be sitting around waiting for him in another room for two hours to make sure he's ok - taking a book and some fizzy sweets with me for company dh is very wisely staying home.
Then my parents are looking after ds for us tonight so we can go out with friends again. I know this makes two Saturdays in a row but my folks are going back to Spain on Monday so we're taking advantage while we can

Dn dh & ds are going swimming tomorrow morning so I really should get on with some housework and the ironing as every afternoon / evening has been wiped out this week feeling crap so am trying to talk myself into getting on with stuff in the morning while I feel well, but can't be arsed. Think that's what you call a catch 22 situation isn't it!!!

Have a good one, I'm sure we'll chat over the weekend

HellKat · 23/04/2005 10:17

Yep he's a total sweetheart!
Thanks Beks. You never know I might take you up on that.

HellKat · 23/04/2005 10:27

P.s- Have a great night Beks

SharonTW1 · 23/04/2005 12:30

Hello, just left a message on last thread then realsied it had moved, expecting my first baby on Nov 26th, pretty nervous already and feeling a bit isolated, great reading your notes.
I'm 30 and quite newly married (Aug)life has been a big change for me this last year and I think I'm still in shock.
Will keep looking in.
Good luck everyone x

SharonTW1 · 23/04/2005 12:32

PS what are all the ds dh letters short for ?
Where can I find out ? Feel a bit left out !!

PeachyClaire · 23/04/2005 13:13

ds dear son... dd dear daughter (numbers indicate birth order, eg dd3)
dh dear husband
dp dear partner

ChaCha · 23/04/2005 14:41

Hi Sharon and welcome to the November thread
My due date was originally the 27th but has since moved to December 1st. Hopefully we'll have some stats on here soon (hint, hint ladies).

How are you feeling Sharon?

ChaCha · 23/04/2005 14:42

Found this on the homepage:

Abbreviations - So who are these dh and ds?
Some abbreviations have come into common use on the mumsnet talk boards. Here's what one member had to say about them:
By janh on Monday, 17 March, 2003 10:16:01 AM
Everybody wonders about DH etc when they first join, in fact it would be useful if mumsnet had a list of the abbreviations somewhere.

The D is dear/darling - H is husband, D is daughter (or sometimes dad), S is son (or sometimes sister). P is usually partner. MIL, FIL, SIL, BIL are the in-laws. BF can be boyfriend, bestfriend or even breastfeeding. SS/SD are stepson, stepdaughter. I think that's it for the rellies.

Enthusia · 23/04/2005 17:46

Hiya

At the top of the screen in blue writing is a link that says acronym list, this explains most of them, hope this helps!!!!

How are you today ChaCha, your medicine is the same as mine but I had the fizzy one! It worked for me.

Welcome Sharon.

I am being pampered by my Mum and Dad at mo, went out and looked at cots for the first time. Really exciting!!!!

Enthusia · 23/04/2005 17:56

ChaCha and anyone else - have just enabled you to contact me if you would like to send emails etc..... Thought it was a handy tool, no weirdos though please!!!!!!

ChaCha · 23/04/2005 19:50

Hi Enthusia,
You enjoy all the pampering while you can
Sounds great!
The shopping sounds fun, I can't wait till i'm able to do it, at the moment a picture of a baby on the back of a magazine has me feeling ill - can't quite explain it. The tablets are working wonders Enthusia and am feeling just a tad like my old self again. Have that familiar feeling in my tummy that i can only describe as being like hunger pangs - yukky!
Great news, I will email you everyday with all my news and let you know how I am..LOL NOT! No really, promise not to stalk (sp)

Diddle - everything okay? Perhaps you're enjoying your weekend too much. How is everyone else?

BEKsmum · 24/04/2005 00:42

Cor it's quiet on here tonight where is everyone, surely not doing something other than chatting on here

Sharon congratulations and welcome aboard, hope your pregnancy goes well, and congratulations on such a busy year too, it must feel like it's been a whirlwind.

Just got in from a night out with friends we went for a drink (orange juice, water & hold the excitement bitter lemon for me), then a curry. Chatted loads and had a really great night out. Makes me long for the old days but then again it's more fun now that we can only go out every so often as there's more to catch up on.

ALso been totally spoilt tonight as my mum has done my ironing mountain for me while I was out and tidied round a bit, god I'm going to miss her when she goes back to Spain next week, it's so nice having my parents around for a month at a time but it really upsets me when they go back and I end up crying like a big tart everytime they go even though I speak to them most nights on the phone. Hope I manage to get the same close relationship with my own kids.

Well I'm off for a swig of gaviscon and then to bed, hope you have a nice Sunday all.

Enthusia · 24/04/2005 08:11

BEKsmum - how strange my parents are also out from Spain looking after me. They only came out on Friday so I have a bit more pampering to look forward to. Yesterday she cleaned the whole house. Wow!!!

I too hope I can have as close relationship with my children!!!

Morning ChaCha - hope you are feeling even better today!!!

BEKsmum · 24/04/2005 09:58

Morning Enthusia, that's nice that they only came on Friday, how long are they staying? My folks have been here for a month but will be back at the end of June for a quick visit so won't have to wait to long to see them. We are also thinking of going out to see them at the beginning of June because we told ds that nanny & grandad have a swimming pool and now it's all he goes on about!

Where about's in Spain do your parents live? Mine live in a town in Andalusia.

Better go as I'm supposed to be putting the ironing mountain away, speak to you all later.

Enthusia · 24/04/2005 10:08

BEKsmum - my Dad is staying about 2 weeks and is then driving back with a car full of stuff and my Mum is staying until we get sick of each other!

They live in Moraira, in the Costa Blanca, but have only been out there 8 months, they have just bought their own villa. We are hping to go out at Christmas with new baby!!!!!!

They are coming over again during the summer holiday and then when bubs is born!

SharonTW1 · 24/04/2005 14:54

Hi again everyone thanks peachy-Claire and Cha Cha for the words of wisdom, coming out of the dark again now. I'm feeling ok , bit better than I have been still not eating so good but I'm sure it won't doi me any harm to shift a few pounds before I start putting them on !
Back to work tomorrow so will write again then, take care.
