obviously

Diddle · 22/04/2005 08:22

morning jemjam - soon be bumperoo diddle here. doing okay thank you. trying to stay busy and composed and looking forward to having my bump back. actually its still there and i knwo that next time i'm going to look 6 months after 4 weeks.
I would have been 12 weeks today so goign to stay positive today. I watched that born with 2 mothers last night, which i though was great, but brought on a few tears. That poor family, they were both going through so much. Can't imagine it can you.
Did anyone see it?

HellKat · 22/04/2005 08:42

Morning all,
Had a retreating day yesterday and snuggled up watching pants tv. Have decided, next time I get pg, am definitely having the heartbeat tested before we have the scan otherwise we'll be terrified.
I'll be so glad when next week's over. Been a shitty week so far but at least there's light at the end of tunnel now.
How's my girls doing? Ms clearing up?

HellKat · 22/04/2005 08:44

try to stay positive today Diddle. I'm here if you need me.
Also, supposed to be nearly 70 deg today so perfect excuse to get outside!

BEKsmum · 22/04/2005 08:59

Morning girls, Diddle glad to hear you're keeping positive but I can understand that it is a hard day for you today. Lol at you saying you'll look 6mths after 4 weeks I looked 6mths before I got pregnant so will probably look like a baby elephant by 6mths and a full grown one by 9mths

HK sorry you're having such a crappy week, it must be really difficult for you at the moment and we all really appreciate it that you guys are sticking around to chat to us.

Chacha, you poor thing what a nightmare and you were so looking forward to going out. Hope you're feeling better today.

Yingers I agree with the moving closer to mum idea I think if I get the twins everyone is predicting for me I'll either have to get my mum to move in or sell one on e-bay because there is absolutely no way I could cope - How much do you think I'd get

Mummygow you're welcome to be an honorary Nov Mum just in case you go late, welcome aboard!

Got dh home for a long weekend now as we were supposed to be going to Leeds to see friends but I couldn't face the drive so have had to put it off. Poor dh gets to go to the dentist instead as is wisdom teeth are hurting

Speak to you all later, enjoy the sunshine.

Enthusia · 22/04/2005 09:11

Hiya

I am here just going through big family problems at the mo as Dh's sister has been chucked out of home with her parents wanting her dead so she is staying with us. This is also with the fact that my parents are coming over from Spain to pamper us until we want them to go home means we have a VVEERRRYYY full house and it is quite tense at the mo. Hopefully things will settle over weekend. I will try to emailo with my pg news later but the kids need teaching and are reading this, I think. Will Go

ChaCha · 22/04/2005 10:47

LOL @ Enthusiad!!! have images of lots of kids watching from over your shoulder, he he!
Glad you're okay, well your PG at least, sounds like you may be in for some weekend chaous, family eh! We love 'em!

As I am not keeping anything down at all (not even my favourite pizza) i'm extremely weak and uanable to do much. My doc is presribing me some anti-sickness tablets but i'm reluctant to take them. Has anyone else taken these and any info?

ChaCha · 22/04/2005 10:48

chaos, sorry, i have to proofread these days.

busyalexsmummy · 22/04/2005 11:28

Cha cha, yes, i was prescribed those tablets when pregnant with ds as i had ms from 13 weeks up till about 29 weeks so they put me on the tablets, they worked, but i only mangaged to take them for about 3 weeks because they made me into a walking zombie-it was 6 times worse than early pregnancy tiredness, i felt so lethargic i didnt want to do anything and felt too tired to even think most of the time. i would take them and see how it goes but i certainly wouldnt drive when taking them.

booking in-they do your bloods, ie immunity to rubella, your reasus(sp?) factor and your blood group. they ask about your previous pg's and note it down, family histroy of various diseases/illnesses, where you want to give birth, they ask you if you smoke/drink, how often/how many, they might ask you about how you would like to feed you baby af/bf and they should arrange your dating scan with the hospital.
i think thats it, if i think of anything else i'll let you know!
ms has not been bad at all past 2 days so am feeling a little better!

rodeo1 · 22/04/2005 11:30

Hello Girls,

Glad to see so many of you posting over the last few days, welcome Thomcat! What did your dh say?!

Hi Busy, you're sounding better! Have got an updated stats list on my computer, keep meaning to post it, but thought i'd wait a week or so as it's upsetting taking people off it, maybe I could put it on a seperate post?

I'm having the dreams yingers! I'm going to spain next week with friends and keep having dreams about them coming for me and i've not packed, being too late for flight, getting on the wrong flight!! I was heading for Brazil on my own the other night!!

About the programme diddle, didn't think I could watch it, not very good with sad things at the mo. Did ask dp what we'd do if it happened to us, he just said 'well, we'd just swap back wouldn't we?'!!! WTF!!! What happened in the end anyway?

HK & Diddle, thinking of you both,

enjoy the sunshine everyone x x x

baby went back to biological parents(black couple) 6 weeks after trial ended, white family have contact once a month

ChaCha · 22/04/2005 11:38

Glad i turned over then, is enough that i cry at singing frog on grass advertisement

busyalexsmummy · 22/04/2005 11:47

oh dear, a hopless case then

ChaCha · 22/04/2005 11:48

LOL
Only sometimes..

rodeo1 · 22/04/2005 12:02

was there a white baby as well? I'm confused - doesn't take much!

OP posts:
busyalexsmummy · 22/04/2005 12:05

no, the white and black family had ivf, the white mother concieved, then gave birth to a black baby, the black couples embryo had been implanted into the white women by mistake, the white women gave birth and the black couple fought to get their baby back

rodeo1 · 22/04/2005 12:10

Oh no!

That is awful, I thought there were 2 babies involved, but only 1? That's even worse

Twiga · 22/04/2005 13:30

Sorry to crash - Tex, just wanted to pop over and let you know that Minnie1 has just posted a BFP pver on the old ttc after mc thread ! Think that must be nearly all of us now - good to see more happy news!

ChaCha · 22/04/2005 13:40

TEX111 - am just remembering...duh! I met you on an old TTC thread..remember me?

Any news on the tablets ladies?

busyalexsmummy · 22/04/2005 15:10

cha cha, didnt know wether you saw my post further down concerning sickness tablets?

hamster · 22/04/2005 15:13

Good afternoon
I couldn't watch that 2 parents programe last night-could not even imagine how the real couples felt...v.sad.
Ms seems to be wearing off, at last. Just the tiredness to battle through now.

Hope life starts to take a happier turn for you now Hellkat, crap stuff always seems to happen to good people.

How did telling dh go Thomcat? Let us know!

BEKsmum · 22/04/2005 16:54

Afternoon all, Chacha I had to laugh at the frog adverts, I cried reading the good luck messages for the Marathon the other day - don't ask me why I haven't a clue

Rodeo was thinking about that list myself, could we put the others on the list at the top as special or honorary members as they are pretty special to us aren't they?

Going to take ds & dh out for a chinese in a little while for putting up with me with ms it seems to be getting worse instead of better and I am not a happy bunny.

I'll look in later before dh starts playing World of Warcraft tonight. Have a nice evening.

BEKsmum · 22/04/2005 17:02

Sorry poping back to say Thomcat I've just been reading your thread in conception and it made me cry - how excited are you?!!!! What a fantastic thread, you need to print it off and keep it in your baby keepsake box, it's just lovely.

HellKat · 22/04/2005 17:28

Beks, Rodeo- thanks for your support. means the world. just trying to get through one day at a time.
Chacha- you poor thing. You're really suffering. Have you tried the anti-sickness bands?
have a great weekend all and take care.

tex111 · 22/04/2005 17:49

Twiga, it's great to see you. I just popped over to say congrats to Minnie1. Glad to read that you're doing so well too.

ChaCha, I do remember your name but for some reason I kept thinking you were in Australia or were Australian. Any other ChaChas on Mumsnet? Your sickness reminds me of when I was pregnant with DS. Horrible but it does get better. Glad you've talked to the doc about it and hope the tablets help. You'll probably feel better when you can just keep something down.

As for the weird dreams, I'm definitely having them too but I'm having some great saucy dreams too that make up for it! The other night it was Keanu Reeves, who I've never really fancied, but he was pretty amazing!
