ChaCha · 21/04/2005 13:18

Sorry you obviously know how far you are or you wouldn't be on the November thread..duh!

Thomcat · 21/04/2005 13:21

well I had my last period on 14 February. did a test before and it said I wasn't. Did another test today and it said i was.

i'm 33, already have one little girl, aged 3 called Lottie. She's wonderful and will make a fab big sister. Lotie has Down's syndrome btw incase you weren't aware.

Have an appt with my GP tomorrow morning.

cab · 21/04/2005 13:28

Tex I'm fine. You'll have to let the others on the May board know your good news. Shall be keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you at the nuchal. xxx

Diddle · 21/04/2005 13:29

where is everyone
welcome thomcat, and congratulations.
Its very quiet today.
very sunny here in the midlands, maybe everyone is out sunning themselves, but more chance of them working far too hard, or hovering over the toilet. hope you're all feeling ok, and not too rough.
have a good day girls

Xena · 21/04/2005 14:51

Hello all welcome thomcat. I think that your LMP is the same as mine although I can't remember I thought at first it was a week later but then I remember having it while the childrens were on half term. Hopefully the 12/13wk scan will give me a firmer date. Anyway how are you feeling any MS etc? who have you told?

hamster · 21/04/2005 15:05

Hello peeps
Hi Thomcat, I'm quite new too, they all seem really nice on here!
I am due on the 4th Nov-it seems so much longer when the pg is throughout the whole year! I had 2 months before x-mas last time with ds and it just seemed to break it up nicely.(do I sound mad?)
Hey Diddle, it is quiet today, but I have been cleaning most of the day-when not hovering over the loo! lol

Thomcat · 21/04/2005 15:09

No sickness, nothing, slighty tender boobs but that's it. not sure this can be real tbh! Seeing GP tomorrow and telling DP tonight will help make it sink in.

ChaCha · 21/04/2005 15:56

Hey everyone
Hi Hamster..how are you doing?

Diddle - it's quite sunny here too but i don't have the motivation for must today. I've not done much at all and its almost 4pm - where does the day go? Funny how it goes so slow when in work! Typical!

I could kill one of those icing buns..the ones with the pink icing ... mmmm!

busyalexsmummy · 21/04/2005 16:15

Hi all, welcome tomcat, thought id pop in quick and let you know how i got on with the m/w for my booking in appt, everything fine, have chosen consultant and midwife mixed care this time purely so that they can act quickly if i get the spd this time and also because im very scared im going to have a far bigger baby this time. the hospital are going to see me in a few weeks time then i will be going in for a dating scan and a chat with the consultant as they may decide to give me growth scans from 28 weeks onwards as i could end up having a baby bigger than i can cope with ie. im 5ft2 size 4 1/2 feet and ds was 8lb 13 1/2oz, and i was trying to push him out for 93mins, which ended up with me being cut. so they are worried that it might be considerably bigger being 2nd baby and considering my height etc presents an extra risk. im quite happy with the result next appt with m/w wont be till 24th may

busyalexsmummy · 21/04/2005 16:17

ps, edd stands at 11th nov at the moment

hamster · 21/04/2005 16:18

Hi ChaCha, I'm doing good apart from feeling sick, I'm back to eating though, which I couldn't manage a few days ago! Got a thing for sardine and tomato paste...lol it's probably turning everone's stomachs just mentioning it.

I must admit, my day has flown too. Usually it drags as I get up at 4am, but today has gone fast. Probably all the cleaning I've done(caught up with over a weeks worth of cleaning, bleach smell made me heave)

hamster · 21/04/2005 16:23

Where are you all today?
Catching rays?
Out of the house doing stuff?
Hope you're all well.
Ah well I'll catch you all tommorrow hopefully,
I gotta go and make my lovely dh2b's tea now(joy)
xx

busyalexsmummy · 21/04/2005 16:31

hmmm, any chance anyone could do a stats list, had a scroll down but cant find a recent one, would be nice to know what stage everyones currently at and when your all due xx

ChaCha · 21/04/2005 16:50

Hamster, I did gag when i read sardines ...oh yuk! LOL

Busy..wow, are you mega-excited now? What do they do in the booking appt? I have mine a week today (that will be almost 10 weeks, am nervous)

I'm going out tonight, have decided that the world needs me and the bed/toilet/sofa will just have to wait.

Enthusia, hope your well, i miss ya xx

ChaCha · 21/04/2005 17:04

Actually, feeling a tad nervous about tonight. I've been so in my own little world for so long I don't know what it's going to be like having to socialise again. Am sure every other question will be 'Ohhh..was it planned?' 'What will you do about work?' blah, blah, blah.
Maybe am paranoid.

tex111 · 21/04/2005 17:27

Welcome Thomcat. I'm sure we've crossed paths on other threads before. Glad to see a familiar name and many congrats!

Hamster, I don't think I've welcomed you yet! Your sardine paste actually sounded really good to me. I can't get enough hummus and black olives right now. Just had a big pita full of them and looking forward to another one later!

Busy, glad the booking in appt went well. DS was 8lb 10.5oz but I'm 5'7". Everyone kept asking if I was having twins. I bet you got a lot of that too!

We had a nice day today. Went out to Ikea, just for the meatballs, then went to a bookstore and Starbucks. I'm looking for a book called The Baby Name Wizard. I think I'm going to have to order it from Amazon as no one seems to carry it. Supposed to be very good though.

tex111 · 21/04/2005 17:28

Oh, Chacha have a great night out! I'm sure I'll be in bed by 8.00!

Xena · 21/04/2005 18:48

My 2nd baby was 1lb 5oz heavier than no1 at 9lb 7oz but the 3rd was the same as the 1st. I'm hoping for another 8lb 2oz as they were both considerable easier. Although I am still looking forward to the scan firstly so I can see everything is OK and also to check for twins.
Tex111 When I was pg last time i used to go to Ikea and buy their frozen bags of meatballs onion gravey and a pot of their cranberry sauce DH got really sick of it but I could have eaten every night

yingers74 · 21/04/2005 21:15

Thomcat - congrats and welcome.

was suppose to go out for drinks (non-alcho of course) with some other mums but felt so sick tonight am indoors instead. i really cannot wait till m/s is just a memory!

is anyone else having crazy dreams? I dreamt I had triplets - truly terrifying!

BEKsmum · 21/04/2005 21:48

Evening all, just a quick post from me before I relinquish the computer to dh.

Congratulations and welcome aboard Thomcat, hope your dh/p is pleased, Lottie sounds lovely, not sure my ds is going to be as accommodating to the newbie!

Hope you have a great night out Chacha.

Yingers that's not a dream it's a nightmare Everyone keeps telling me I'm going to have twins and that's bad enough, I can't wait to have my scan on Monday just to make sure there is only one head in there

BusyAlex, glad all went well at the booking in, does it seem more real now?

Hi ya Diddle, not been around today as been over to a friends for lunch as it's her little boys birthday tomorrow. Had a really nice day & then had my parents over to dinner so am now knackered, and I'm off to bed.

Enthusia are you out there? Are you ok?

Night all speak to you tomorrow.

yingers74 · 21/04/2005 21:51

I know bek, I have told dh that if it comes true, I have to move closer to my mum, there is no way I can handle it on my own! I cannot wait for my scan, only 2.5 weeks to go!

ChaCha · 21/04/2005 22:08

Hi all, did not go out, stayed home instead after nosebleed and sickness.
My dreams are as vivid as ever, they are really weird, no dreams of twins or triplets though - a lot of visitors from the past though..creepy!

Enthusia...where are yoooouuuuuu?

Nighty night all x

mummygow · 21/04/2005 22:43

Hi girls just wanted to pop in and say hi - due date 27/10 so I am on Oct thread but went 10 days over last time so if I do the same this time will be a november gal too, so just wanted to let you all know thinking about all your ups and downs for the next 7 months!!

JenJam · 21/04/2005 23:32

hello bumperoos,
this is the latest i've stayed up on a weeknight since getting pregnant. i feel very reckless! nice to see some new names - thomcat - how exciting it is that you've just discovered! ...you must be 2.5 months now??
have told eveyrone and work and just foudn out that someone i told my news to IN CONFIDENCE had told a few others already! grrrr. so don't make my mistake! i'm very busy this week and feel like my belly is getting a little bigger. have just discovered top shop do maternity clothes so i'm going to go down there tomorrow and start dressing like a teenager (a pregnant one) DP can't wait... DP is now talking to barely detectable bump since seeing baby bouncing on ultrasound. very cute and just as well as i'm not listening to his nonsense. Well must crawl into bed now nighty night. JenJam
