BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 11:18

schultes I am home too x

did you do too much this weekend? have you called mw to let them know?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 11:20

Morning

Boffin - Well Done!! that totally needed to be done. and to the "not happy with my work comment" i would have probably replied "what work?" (she's got on my tits and i dont even know/live/work with her lol).

Puzzle - thats awful!

Gingersarah - yup i think it was towards the end of the last thread (though prior to the farmyard smuttyness )

B52s - lol at your dog i cant wait till we get ours (its for dh really but i think dd is going to love having a dog as well as the cats)

on the pain front i had a satisfying clik/crunch in the left hip area last night (as i was trying to roll off the sofa) and my hips feel really quite good today though my back and leg is still really painful, dh got me up this morning to help me get dressed and pulled the mirror round so i could see my back/ bum and i am seriously bruised and swollen (goodness knows what i have done, twisted awkwardly during the night and not felt it due to the drugs perhaps?) so have got an ice pack on which is quite soothing for now. the morphine helped loads last night though so feel a bit perkier and am alot more confident on my feet today. Heres hoping today is a moderately good one

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 11:25

Well fab progress on the AP front, I am happy to announce.

I have had a spontaneous apology and an admission of laziness and a bit of lack of responsibility!!! I am in shock.

For more details see the thread I set up on this. I am so glad I put my foot down. Hopefully there will be enough improvement so we will all be able to rub along nicely again.

Thanks for all supportive messages xx

BB would you like me to tell those cats off in my Boff teacher voice, as clearly it has an effect ....

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 11:26

BB - yay for your boss?!?! has he had a labotomy do you think? either way tis a good thing

Frekkles - Yay for the party (sounds like it was fabulous fun) well done you! and hurrah for moving into the flat will you be joining our buddy system? xx

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 11:27

BB don't worry too much about the contractions. As long as you rest a lot things should be OK. They can be painful though so you have my sympathy. xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 11:27

Boffin hooray for your boff talking too heres to improvement from now on!

hopeful1 · 23/02/2009 11:32

Hello everyone,

Havent been on here for ages but just enjoyed reading your stories. Was just wondering what happened to binkyb as she was the same due date as me but cant seem to see her now.

Springy - how do I get to see your lovely wedding pics, congratulations by the way

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 11:39

Hello hopeful, nice to have you back.

I know Nutty, I am in major shock here too.

Schulte · 23/02/2009 11:46

Boff - well done with the AP but do you think it will last or is she just trying to get back in your good books?

Nutty - didn't know SPD could make you bruised and swollen as well, poor you!

BB - no had a fairly lazy Sunday, maybe eaten something wrong? Just had a cup of peppermint tea and feeling slightly better now. Your BH sound awful though, make sure you put your feet up! I bet your boss is scared you might go into labour now so he'll leave you well alone

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 11:48

Hi Hopeful1 nice to hear from you would you like to join our buddy system?

Boffin Just read your thread and ap shagged your brother!?!?!?! now there is a story you need to tell!!! how did that happen??? (obviously i know how the shagging works )

Claireykitten · 23/02/2009 11:48

Springy - Dont suppose there is any chance of you putting a couple of photos on your profile is there? I would love to see how gorgeous you looked but I dont have a facebook account so cant look at them.

Well done Boff! Hopefully it will last and she will buck her ideas up!

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 11:48

Thanks Boff, I am not worried about them really it is more the inconvenience, where they tend to require me curling up in to a ball when they happen through the night just wake up all narky and sleepy and am not really able to drive all that much as am worried they will start on the commute!

Wow for the AP that is amazing, still hold strong - she has 2 weeks to turn herself around, one day of apology is not enough to sort it out! she knows she is on to a good thing so if I was her I would be knocking your socks off with my efficiency over the next couple of weeks - is she scrubbing that oven yet?

Boff, could you? You could be like the cat whisperer!

Nutty yay re paing but poo for the bruise - are you allowed arnica in pregnancy? that always helps me a lot in terms of just getting it out and going quicker!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 11:51

Schulte - neither did i tbh, it may be to do with my back more than the spd though as its more where the back pain is. might be due to the nice crunch last night?!? i'm just speculating though.

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 11:54

oooh schultes that is rubbish but hopefully if you rest up you start to feel much better!

Welcome back hopeful1 how have you been? you all set for a few weeks time???

frostyfrekkles · 23/02/2009 11:54

hey hey!

what's the buddy system and what do i have to do?

i'm going to start packing today! Tell me ladies, how do I pack when I'm not meant to move or lift stuff? hahaha

sorry for all your soreness and contractions and domestic hassles xxxx I think i've had some braxton hicks this weekend. Are they like tummy cramps? baby feels really big and strong now, kicked me so hard today that it made my boobs jiggle. seems as if it wants to get involved with everything too, really aware and interested. I'm feeling quite soppy and happy about it. did i tell you i think i have a couple of names by the way? anyone want to know what they are?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 11:57

BUDDY SYSTEM - Update

So far i have had 24
responses (including me).

although this is a fab number for me to work with we do have 48 on our list ....

if you want to have a buddy please please let me know asap. I will start dishing out details to buddies next tuesday (24th) which is a week from when this thread started. i would like to have the bulk of this sorted as we really are very close to dates now (and there is always a posibility of people birthing a bit early).

IMPORTANT i will not leave anyone out!!! if you send me your details after the 24th, that is fine, i will still organise a buddy for you.

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 11:57

yes yes yes i do i do i do!!

mine feel like intense period pain - you know like you get the day you are due on and it is literally about to happen (sorry if TMI!)

My LO doesn't really kick anymore just shifts and squirms around like and alien!!

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 11:58

hmm frekkles the answer to your question is...

... get someone else to do it!

Just take it easy, position yourslef in a room with boxes around you and leave the heavy stuff until you have some help!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 12:03

oooooohhhhhh frekkles yes please!!! tell tell!!!

BB ((hugs)) not long now chick xxx

frostyfrekkles · 23/02/2009 12:04

yes, i think that is the way to go. i'm not very good at asking for help, so I'm just going to have to be strategic about it and position the boxes where they need to be and then carry an object at a time.

ok nutty, i shall email you x

and so I'm quite excited telling you lot these names because i'm not going to tell anyone else in my real life . ofcourse they may change when i meet the little person, but just now ....

if it's a lass then maybe Isobel
if it's a lad then maybe Harris

SpringySunshine · 23/02/2009 12:06

Boffin, well done on confronting the AP - hopefully it'll sink in & she'll realise that she can't expect to be paid for a job which she simply isn't doing. I'm sure she's a lovely woman, but she isn't half proving to be useless so far - your DH doesn't have to deal with the consequences of that, only seeing that she's friendly & whatever. It's not fair for you to be getting stressed out about her as well as everything else at the moment!

Oh! I've just seen that she's apologised & whatever - excellent You've clearly got the same scary teacher voice as my mum's perfected. Actually, my mum's pretty terrifying even without opening her mouth - if you tell her you're going to bed & she doesn't hear you going upstairs, she'll come back down to fetch you. The sound of those footsteps on the stairs are enough to make your heart pound & start panicking, trying to decide how best to make an excuse. Even my dad shudders at the thought of it & leaps up out of his seat as soon as the sound begins Being a teacher obviously has its advantages

BB, you have the day off? Yay! How strange, but let's not complain! As for the BH, the ones I've had over the weekend have been really quite painful & I definitely get the impression that yours have been much worse - whoever's coming out with this 'painless' description needs a slap

frekkles, your party sounds lovely - well done for finding the energy to not only organise it but dance until 4.30! That's clearly madness! It's so good that you seem so much happier at the moment - I hope it lasts You deserve it xx

Ooh, how exciting is it that it's getting to be nice (all things being relative!) weather, with longer days? It's pancake day tomorrow, too - 40 days until Easter, & I'm due on Easter Sunday. Lent is suddenly of importance to me - it's a proper countdown! Oh, I can't wait! I'm sitting here looking at my Moses basket on its rocking stand & wishing I had a baby to go & scoop out of it for a cuddle. I so badly want to be a mummy! I've got the wife thing under my belt now & I'm impatient for the next bit

Nutty, at 'what work?' - remind me never to cross you
Good to hear that your hips are feeling better today, although obviously about the back / bum / leg situation - must be very strange to have hurt yourself so badly & not know how (without alcohol being involved, at least ) I hope you have a relatively good day, though.

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 12:07

ooooohhhh goood choices xx

SpringySunshine · 23/02/2009 12:14

Hello again hopeful! My wedding photos are here - you shouldn't need to be my friend to see them (& thank you!)

Clairey, I'll work something out so you can see them, yeah

Lovely names, frekkles! Are they agreed on, or just your favourites?

Speaking of which, BB - still being threatened with Caravan?

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 12:16

I do love both of those names! Harris is not something I have heard before but really really like it!!

I know springy really you read them and they are like, "most women don't even feel them blah blah blah" and I am sat here thinking - this person is a man I am sure!

I also know you feel re wanting to have the baby, I wake up in the morning and see the moses basket and then head down to the nursery and open all the windows up before heading down for breakfast and always think how different it will be in just over a month when I have a LO to look after and make me smile!

It actually feels very strange - for the first hour or so I just kept clicking send and receive on my email and nothing kept coming through!

Slight rant alert - we have NO chocolate in this house and I left my wallet in the car which DH has taken to work! How is that possible??? No chocolate, nothing, no biscuits, not chocolate cake, not chocolate bars! NOTHING!!! I just had cut up apple and banana with my tea - APPLE AND BANANA?

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 12:18

Springy I haven't bought it up post FIL! But yes I think I am! Might try and bring it up again this week!
