BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:23

Boffin that is not going to help my fat arms!!!

I wanted twins, a boy and a girl, DH wanted octuplets!

BoffinMum · 25/02/2009 15:27

Yes but it's skimmed milk, that's healthy!

Nutty, I have made a virtual one for you and we can drink them together in front of Murder She Wrote. Do you know, they should give up opium pipes. That would make the time pass a bit quicker. If it's good enough for Sherlock Holmes ...

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 15:29

Octuplets

No that just makes my head spin.

BB - make sure your DH has seen pics of that octuplets' mum's tum.

Boff - you aren't far off 6. You just need to have twins next time round . (I do realise that with SPD getting up the duff again is pretty low on your list of priorities).

Now it actually does sound like there is gunshot outside here. V. unlikely to be a fireworks display at this time of day. .

There was also what looked like a military helicopter landing on the other side of the village this morning.

V.rum goings on in rural Somerset. The sheep will be very irked by the disturbance.

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:32

I would like four I think but fairly spread out! Don't worry LuLu he is not getting them!

Oooh LuLu look at you and your excitement!

BoffinMum · 25/02/2009 15:37

Spread out is good, actually.

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 15:38

All gone quiet now. Who knows what it all was.

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:39

I would like a good few years between them! I am definitely NOT having another one until this LO is at least 4! Have the greatest respect for people that can do it but I know I wouldn't be able to cope with two little ones!

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:40

will keep an eye on the news.

On that how very very sad was it about David Cameron's little boy this morning

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 15:40

One woman I knew had 6 but she did them in batches: 2 close together then about 5 years gap, another 2 close together, another pause...

Seemed like quite a good way to do it if you want lots of kids (and start young enough). They each had a sibling close in age to them but she got a break from babydome imbetween.

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 15:45

Yes BB - I was in tears at that news. Had to switch off. I remember DC as a young, relatively unknown MP being very active in the disability sector and really inspiring people of all political persuasions. Fatherhood clearly had such an impact on him and he seemed so heartfelt and motivated to change things on behalf of all parents of disabled children.

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:47

I've worked with him quite a lot for some of our charity clients and he genuinely really is a passionate person about the issue and is so natural with kids!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 25/02/2009 15:48

BARBARELLY!!!!! look at that beautiful triplet bump! awwwww OMG that is so soon oh wow how cool, ooooohhh get a scooter you can have crutch guns n everything just like Boff xx

BB you will have yours soon enough sweety

LuLu - welsh armed forces maybe?

BoffinMum · 25/02/2009 15:49

I have to say as someone who has spent vast periods of time down the Child Development Centre with DS2, who is technically disabled, it is very reassuring that politicians are aware of that side of life and talk about it in public.

Very about Ivan though.

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 15:52

Nutty - is there something you know that you aren't telling us?

Is Wales invading England?

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 25/02/2009 15:54

you said the sheep were being distirbed i thought that maybe the taff brigade may have wanted to try some somerset lamb as a change of scene? may explain the chopper?

BoffinMum · 25/02/2009 15:54

BB if you do have the chance, please tell Dave what I said. It makes society more inclusive when we all use the same services and share these experiences, IMO. We were shocked to find our health insurance didn't cover any of this, and to be thrown back on the NHS for occupational therapy and so on, but we have got good treatment for DS2 and reasonably joined up programmes, because even if you are prepared to pay, little is available privately anyway.

BoffinMum · 25/02/2009 15:55

Wales couldn't invade England. They have all gone monolingual over there and couldn't read the road signs!

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:56

See Nutty, look at you cheering us all up!! Yay for C-section - does that mean you are due earlier or just got confused on your weeks?

BoffinMum · 25/02/2009 15:57

When would you like the CS Nutty?

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 15:59

I will tell my client Boff, they have more regular contact with him than me and am sure they will be sending him well wishes etc, I just see him at events really where he is spectacular (I am not pro Dave or even particular pro conservatives or any political party for that matter) but as a person he is lovely, much nicer than stuffy old Mr Brown!

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 15:59

LOL Boffin.

So Nutty - explain about the dates? Tis v. good news. Did they give you a possible time frame for the C-section.

fatandfedup · 25/02/2009 16:00

Hey Ladies,

Thanks for all the welcome messages.

Smutty - Have emailed you all my details.

Have just been reading the last few pages of the thread and can't believe how many of you have SPD. I was diagnosed at 12 weeks and am now 31. Have to go everywhere on crutches bit impossible with a 4 yr old and a 22 month old! Am so fed up with situation (hence the name) and am just counting down weeks to go. Have been told by MW and consultant that my trust does not do Csections for SPD and I can be induced at 39 weeks if pain is unbearable. It has been unbearable since 12 weeks! Anyway I totally empathise with you all and big waves of sympathy from me here for all those having bad days today.

BabyBolat · 25/02/2009 16:00

And you can't say next week - I love you with all my heart but if you have your baby before me we can no longer be friends!!!

conkertree · 25/02/2009 16:01

ooh had mexican for lunch with work - was very tasty but lo is definitely dancing with the chillies now

LuLuBai · 25/02/2009 16:04

Come on everyone lets all fire out our sproglets now to wind up BB!

(just kidding - mine must remain bellyside until the builders finish!)

Fatandfedup - sorry to hear you have SPD too. Seems to be very widespread amongst the April mums! Hope you are getting looked after.
