thanks for that BB and Springy, it's nice to know someone shares my view here.
I agree he should try to be nearer but he has a good job down there which is going to put him through some decent qualifications, so I'm ok with it, it's not forever.
I really hope once baby comes, that he does make more of an effort as right now it's hurting a lot

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 17:25

Nutty, do you mean like at the beginning of Austen Powers II?

tristaleejac · 23/02/2009 17:25

no smutty DS not his, this is his 1st

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 17:28

Completely forgot to tell you my mortifying leakage experience from last week

So after the whole problem with the computers, I trecked off to currys to change DH's laptop (I was very grumpy as this meant 1. getting out of my pjs to get dressed 2. missing springy's goodbye and 3. having a nightmare morning at work) anyway, didn't think I would be very long so threw on a knitted jumper over my PJ tops, some jeans and shoes and went off

anyway... after being in the store for half an hour I suddenly realised by left boob was leaking like crazy and this huge wet page was spreading over my top - I just didn't know what to do so tried folding my arms but didn't work as they are not high enough and pressure = more leakage so then got the record-type laptop bag, put it over my neck and left it haning over my breasts (really subtle!!!)

Lesson learnt - never go out anywhere without breast pads!!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 17:28

trista - ahhh ok, hopefully when the baby comes he will have the kick up the bum he needs and things will get better from there on in ((hugs)) xx

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 17:29

lol BB poor you

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 17:31

Boffin cant remember AP2?

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 17:31

Oh BB
Hate to say this but it will become a daily occurrence soon.

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 17:32

its very funny now - at the time I was mortified - but along the lines of springy's boobs and over-sharing!!

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 17:32

Liz Hurley's bosoms??

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 17:33

I will be prepared for it then tho I hope!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 17:36

ah- ha got what you mean now and yup like this

had to google

Schulte · 23/02/2009 17:38

Trista - poor you - must be so hard. I am sure he'll want to be around more when his LO has arrived, fingers crossed x

KittyCatIsGettingFat · 23/02/2009 17:40

Does anyone think it's weird that I haven't had AND leakage or BH at all?? No colostrum and no contractions... they seem to be the norm on here, should I be worried?

(Bit hormonal today - apologies for the 20 questions!)

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 17:41

BB, the biggest shock to me each time upon giving birth is the sheer scale of fluid loss from every orifice. Lochia, extra weeing, boob leaks, everything is going at once. It's almost like your body is no longer reliable. It goes on for ages and is very annoying.

BoffinMum · 23/02/2009 17:42

Kitty, I have only had one minor leak from the LHS.

Schulte · 23/02/2009 17:46

Kitty I wouldn't worry at all, count yourself lucky! I have only had one minor leak too, weeks ago.

PuzzleRocks · 23/02/2009 17:47

I was only gone two hours and rabbit rabbit rabbit...

Kitty - I vote for homebirth.

Nutty - What an ace birthday present. Can you be my Mum, I love dress up.

Ginger - Sorry to hear that. DH got made redundant when I was three weeks from having DD. It was really scary but he quickly found an even better job so you may find this cloud has a silver lining. Fingers crossed for you.

Ok, I need a nice soak so will catch up later. Hopefully I will actually get to chat at some point this week instead of playing catch up.

OP posts:
BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 18:09

Oooh a soak - I should probably wait for DH to come home first tho!!

Have just iced the cake and tis in the fridge setting

Kitty I wouldn't worry, I leaked loads at the beginning and then had pretty much nothing for 2 months until recently when it all came flooding back (quite literally!)

Oh Boff, you give me so much to look forward too!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 18:46

Kitty no leakage or hicks here, you are not alone

Puzzle - i will be your mate (enables me to drink with you without feeling mummy responsabilities lol) and i love dress up too we could always have a fancy dress meet up!

BB - mmmmm cake

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 19:10
SpringySunshine · 23/02/2009 19:10

I have boob guns - ace.

BB, I'm far too amused by the image of you panicking about your leaky boob & hanging neck bag - very stylish

BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 19:13

speaking of tom and jerry - DH gave me a sneek into my future life yesterday.

  1. Wanted cake for breakfast I said no
  2. Complained that he didn't want toast for breakfast but wanted cake. Again I said no
  3. Sat in the living room eating said toast watching Tom and Jerry chuckling him to himself forgetting said cake tantrum!!!
BabyBolat · 23/02/2009 19:14

I know it was a bit 17inch black laptop bag with the strap shortened so the bag covered my boobs!! Was my most stylish moment!!

SmuttyNuttyTaff · 23/02/2009 19:15

thanks BB lol at your dh

see springy tis a gift
